Great for blocking knit and crochet projects
These blocking pins matched their description and have become a staple in my knitting toolkit. Their longer length and T-shape make them significantly more user-friendly than your typical sewing pins, (my previous solution). What has delighted me most is their strength, allowing me to achieve the right tension against the knit to guide it into my desired shape without hassle. These pins are sharp enough to effortlessly penetrate my blocking materials, and I’ve noticed they’re not too wide, so there’s no risk of tearing. For all knitting enthusiasts looking to seamlessly block their creations, these pins are a must-have.

Lovely pins shame about the tin
I love this make of pins for blocking all of my crochet projects and needed to replace some that have gone missing over years of use. I was however very disappointed with the container that they came in. As my photos show the box was scratched and rusted so I am going to have to replace it which is a shame as I chose a tin with a pattern that I really liked to go into my crafting stash. I shall replace with a plastic container to limit the chances of marking or damaging my projects.

Best blocking pins ever!
I have used these pins for blocking crochet work made using mercerised thread which has been stiffened in a 50/50 mix of craft glue and water. The pins passed cleanly through the dried crochet and remained in situ on a base comprising polystyrene foam covered in cling film whilst the work dried to its finished shape. Twenty four hours later I was able to remove all the pins with the minimum of fuss or resistance and only one of the pins left behind slight dark marks to indicate its presence in my work. They are so easy to use, are of a great length for craft work such as blocking knitting wool and are comfortable to grasp. I highly recommend these pins to fellow crafters and certainly will be buying additional pins after the festive season. I will also be recommending them to my crafting friends with whom I meet twice weekly in order that they can discover them for their own needs. I can honestly say that I haven’t come across any blocking pins like these before and neither have I found any pins so easy to work with for more than one form of craft blocking. The enclosed photo demonstrates the type of crochet I used the blocking pins for. Thank you.

Worth it.
I’ve always dodged “properly” blocking my knitting as I don’t have the patience, but having spent literally a full work week knitting a baby crib blanket from DK weight wool as a gift for my first nephew, I figured I’d better finish the job properly. I was quite concerned as not only had I invested so much time (also: tears and some swearing) into the blanket, but it’s very fine AND has a lace-work effect. The geometric pattern makes it extra unforgiving of not being blocked straight... Initially reticent to buy “special” pins, but took the plunge. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Using a cheap-as-chips kids play mat, I could pin the blanket down really firmly, with enough tension to achieve the desired re-shaping, yet the design / shape of the sturdy pins meant that I was never worried that they’d snag my knitting. When the time came to remove them their T-shape meant it was easy to carefully slide the pins out of the knitting and foam “sandwich” again. The T-shape also seemed to help prevent “point stretches” (where you can see exactly where the pin was during the blocking) and allowed for a really even tension. I also sprayed the blanket liberally with water from an ironing spray bottle-type thing, and there was absolutely no hint of rust or discolouration on the carefully-inspected pins afterwards. Highly recommended.

Excellent
I ordered these for blocking out my knitting projects after I finish them. They are excellent. Sturdy and fit for purpose. I haven't had them long enough to tell if they will rust or not.
