I did a lot of research before buying this travel blanket, and read a lot of reviews. I was optimistic that the blanket would meet my needs, which were a lightweight, soft, reasonably sized blanket that would take up little room in my carry-on. I was impressed by the softness and thought the blankets were appropriately sized (I'm 5'7"). At my height, the blankets will cover from ankle to shoulder easily. The blanket isn't thick, but I'm content with the idea that it'll ward off chill but not save a person from hypothermia. The colors (red and blue) were vibrant, and when I washed them the blankets did not shed at all. I managed to repack them easily, but I think trying to repack neatly on a plane would be cumbersome due to restricted space. I expected that, so it wasn't an issue for me. The end packet was moderate in size, not tiny but not too large that it would be difficult to slip into a carry-on. I'll be slipping it onto the handle of my suitcase, and clipping it to the outside of my carry-on. Some reviewers thought the carabiner was flimsy, and I have to agree that it is small (around 1.5") and not sturdy. Not an issue for me, carabiners are very inexpensive, so I'll just replace it with a 3" ring. Bottom line: it's a great travel blanket, sufficient to ward off the chill and lightweight.

Soft, warm, and packs down nicely. I’ve used it traveling and even as an extra blanket at home. Quality materials and very comfortable. Absolutely worth buying again.

These are awesome! Easy to travel with. Great size. Works as pillow and blanket! Cozy, soft and durable. They have withstanded washing and come out just as soft and nice. Would buy again! Very easy to put away and hangs off the handle of my suitcase perfectly.

This blanket is very soft and warm. I have it 5 stars for those qualities. It’s a night and day difference compared to some of the flimsy, thin travel blankets I’ve had before. But that softness and warmth comes at a cost. This blanket is bulky. If you’re traveling with a carry-on roller bag it’s perfect to use the roller bag sleeve on the pillow’s cover. But if you’re traveling with just a backpack or a bag then traveling with this becomes a bulky. I appreciate that it comes with a carabiner to attach it to a backpack but the bag sways and when I walked down the aisle on the airplane it kinda bumped people. And it’s too bulky to put inside a backpack/bag. I’m still going to keep it as it is really warm and soft. Just wanted people to know what to expect if they get this. UPDATE: I bought some straps from REI to secure it to the outside front of my backpack and that worked great! I still need to attach it to the backpack with the carabiner to make sure it doesn’t completely fall out from the straps but the combo of the two (carabiner + straps), means I can atta h it to a backpack, kept me hands-free and no bumping people!

Best travel blanket, soft and warm and compact for travel

I need a blanket with me always. If I wind up in an airbnb, there better be one in the living room. Just in case, I bring this one. The case is absolutely helpful when you learn how to repack (my husband can't figure it out). The blanket and the case both are well made, neither of which have pilled or pulled or shown any signs of use. Three countries, countless airplane trips, hotels, airbnbs, and assorted locations, and these little blankets have kept me just toasty enough that I wasn't wining for a blanket. They're great options instead of counting on the airline to sterilize anything. Definitely recommend.
