So happy they fit my nightmare duck feet!
What a relief! I received my shoes today, and they fit - quite nicely!! They fit my 8 1/2 EE feet just as I expected!! If I seem a bit more enthusiastic than you'd expect from an otherwise rational person, you're right. I get very happy when shoes fit because shoe shopping is usually a horror story for me - I have short, very wide feet with high insteps, slim ankles, narrow heels AND I wear medical orthotics**. There isn't a brick & mortar store within 40 miles that carries shoes in my size. I've made specialty shoe salespeople cry. I spend hours online searching for shoes that fit and don't look like I've stolen them from a 90-year-old nursing home patient. I haven't had actual sports shoes for a couple years. Yes, years. Before I ordered these last week, I had found 2 different shoes on Amazon that seemed like they might work. These ASICS were much better looking and had positive reviews that specifically addressed my foot issues - so I crossed my fingers and ordered. And it looks like I've gotten lucky - they fit well and don't make my feet look huge. They're comfy and not too tight, even with my orthotics**. The tongue and laces adjust to accommodate my high instep, while still allowing the heel to fit snugly. I'm ordering a second pair - hunting down the elusive "shoe that fits" has taught me to go ahead and get more than one pair when I can. (Check my other reviews for another shoe I love and bought twice!) **My only caveat: These aren't very deep, even after removing the insole; the shape and thickness of your orthotics will make a big difference in the fit of this shoe. My orthotics aren't much thicker than the original, relatively thin insole. They're mainly arch support, so they don't extend all the way under the ball of my foot. Depending on the thickness and shape of your orthotics, YMMV. Happy shoe hunting!

Great athletic shoe
I stick with ASICS because they carry narrow and because I find them to be a quality shoe. This one is no exception. Comfortable with great support, I can wear them all day and not think once about them. I use them for spinning, gym, and casual. Other reviewers suggest going up a half size, which I did and they fit perfectly. The toe box seems to be not as high as the other styles of ASICS I have, which might explain the need to go up a half size so the toes are not pinched or jammed into the end of the shoe. Will buy again, highly recommend.

Love these shoes!!
These running shoes are the best ones I have ever owned! I have a very wide foot (I wear a 7EE or 7 1/2 D--bought these in 7 1/2 EE); and, I have plantars fasciaitis. Not only do they fit perfectly, but there is so much cushioning in the heel that I do not feel any impact and yet they feel light on my feet. An added benefit that I found with this shoe is that it has a feeling of energy return or propulsion. I can run faster and easier in these shoes than in my previous Brooks Adrenaline! I can also wear them all day without leg fatigue or sore feet. I will definitely make this ASICS Womens GT-2000 3 my go-to running shoe again and again.

a different type of foot support
Previously I was wearing Brooks Pureflow 2 running shoes in 7M, and I used the review and fit tool on the Runner's World website to compare these to the Brooks before buying. The 7M ASICS are quite padded around the side of the heel. The footbed is definitely shorter than the Brooks, but not so short that I needed to size up. My longer foot is 24cm exactly and of medium width, and if you lace the shoe fairly loosely, there's exactly enough room for the plantar fasciitis gel inserts I use (http://smile.amazon.com/Scholls-Pain-Relief-Orthotics-Heel/dp/B0039NN17O/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1432056169&sr=1-1&keywords=dr+scholls+plantar+fasciitis+inserts) without any pinching, and the toe box is wide enough to wiggle my toes around. I think if your foot is any longer than 24cm, you'll definitely want to go up to a 7 1/2. My old Brooks were ranked with "best cushioning" for 2013 by Runner's World, while these were given even higher cushioning numbers in this year's review. The review describes the new ASICS sole technology so I won't repeat it, but I can try to describe the difference. The Brooks are super squishy and compress under your weight with each step. The ASICS don't squish at all--to the point that I was afraid they were going to feel like concrete blocks before I stood up in them--but somehow the pressure of each step is diffused through the entire sole and away. It's extremely hard to describe, but it works and my feet feel well supported against their usual joint hypermobility. Re the listing: Confusingly, this is listed as a Trail Running Shoe on my review page and simply as a Running Shoe on the main listing page. Not sure which is right. Re the color: I didn't realize from the photo just how fluorescent yellow the laces are or that the eye-searing yellow would be the dominant color dragging my eye to my shoes every time I looked down. It is literally the same color as glow-in-the-dark paint, even though the laces don't actually glow in the dark. I ordered some light gray oval laces to match the ASICS symbol on the sides (white would be too much white and blue would be far, far too much blue). Actually, the lack of variety in color is my biggest gripe. Apart from the accent colors, every one of these is blue, blue-green, or blue-violet. All this interminable blue is boring, but I'll cope if it means my feet stop screaming at me.

great for flat footed walkers
The first ones I got were too short from the toes to heel and my last sneakers (NIKE) were 8s so I had to return them and I got 8.5 2E because they also felt kind of tight width too. So maybe they run a little small and narrow and you should get a half a size up. I loved how I could return them free to amazon and they replaced my 8s with the 8.5 :) I'm flatfooted so that is why I even ordered this style and they feel great now that I got the correct size. I would definitely recommend these for flat footed people. I loved them so much I actually ordered a second pair so that I can alternate them each day. My only regret is that in my size and width I could only choose from 1 color and I would've loved to have my second pair be in a different color but I'll take comfort over style I guess in the end. I walk about 6 miles a day in them and so far they feel pretty good still waiting for my second pair to arrive :)
