Very good product that performs as advertised. Was apprehensive about tackling my inner tie rods on my 2012 F150, but this clamp made it much less stressful and performed perfectly as described. Such a relief for a very affordable price!

Worked better than a $200 tool! I had the tool rental from a parts store. It was difficult to get in place and then stripped the nut. Ordered this, came fast and the job got done!

I did both sides, removal and install and the tool is still in good shape. You really can't go wrong with this if you're working in a tight area.

Purchased to replace CV shafts on 20120 Chrysler Town & Country. In this instance a small pipe wrench probably would have got the nuts loosened but having this on hand made the project a sure thing. As a few have complained of the nut thickness and material of the "U" bolt..... ie: stripping the threads.... I used some thicker metric nuts and had no problem. Recommended for light duty.

Works great but not made from a hard steel so I can get damaged easily.

I had to take a break changing out my tie rods just to take a pic and leave this review. After buying and returning a harbor freight Maddox tie rod removal tool yesterday I decided to have this u bolt tool overnighted to see if it would work and I'm glad I did. I tried a number of different tools including wrenches and the only thing that worked was this cheap little thing. This makes the job so much easier and quicker and actually works as opposed to other tools and "hacks" that I've seen online. I used this tool with some PB Blaster, a 1/2 breaker bar, a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter and a 3/8 24 inch extension all as pictured. 5 stars, I 100% recommend.

So simple but it works. Sometimes the simple designs are the most practical.

The Good: This tool works and is great if working in a tight space where you can't get a wrench in. Depending on clearance situations, you may need to use a socket extension. However, the longer the extension, the more flex you'll introduce thus reducing the amount of torque you're effectively using. The Bad: This is pretty much a 1 time/job use tool. The teeth on this tool get damaged easily. The u-bolt also gets slightly bent during use making disassembly tricky (you risk damaging the u-bolt threads). That said, for a job you're probably only doing once during the vehicle's lifetime, $12 on a throwaway tool that works is worth it to me.

Perfect, did the job nicely. Loosened and then tightened 30mm inner tie rod. Minimal wear aswell

Can't beat for the price. Worked perfectly for my 2015 Sierra 4x4. Guess you could just use a large wrench but this makes it so easy and allows the inner tie rod to be properly torqued during install. Highly recommended.
