Design, Quality, and Portability - Who could ask for more?
The speaker looks and feels well made. It plugs into your audio device (cell phone, tablet, or whatever) and produces a sizable increase in volume. The volume level is controlled by the audio device being used and is loud enough for small groups or listening to in running vehicles with excessive ambient noise. It has a nonremovable rechargeable battery and is recharged via a standard "non-iPhone" cell-phone USB cable. The cable that accompanies the speaker is only about 10 inches long, which should be long enough if you are plugging it into a laptop or desktop for recharging. If you need a longer cable, simply use the one you recharge your phone with. The speaker is switched on and off via a button on the rear-center of the speaker. When it is on, there is a tiny blue indicator light inside the black mesh surrounding the button. If it turns red, the speaker needs to be recharged. While recharging, it is best to turn off the speaker. While recharging, the indicator light will stay red until it is fully charged, at which time it will turn off. (There are actually two separate lights for this function - one blue and one red) This external speaker is a good value for the money. Although it is completely functional and well made, some people may feel it looks strange plugged into a cell-phone because of its size. If you need a "comfort-device" in public and require something more stylish, you probably already have an audio device that doesn't need a personal extension speaker anyway. I have been extremely pleased with mine. You won't be disappointed.

Pounds of sound for something so small and round
I was having a major problem with my Lenovo Ideapad 330s laptop in that the speakers were puny and weak. No amount of tweaking made any difference. I just wanted to be able to hear my youtube videos without having to keep my head 4 feet away from the laptop. But I didn't want to be lugging around a bulky set of speakers that might need an extra usb cord or a clip to futz with or whatever. This seemed to be the perfect solution: simple, battery-powered, rechargeable... Just power it on, slam it in and jam on. I rolled the dice and bought this thing and hoped it would be enough. I was not disappointed. Roughly double the output of the stock 330s speakers. I see some people in the reviews claiming it's still not loud enough for them. C'mon what do you want it's the size of a plum? Still for the size I couldn't believe it, I immediately had to turn the volume down after plugging it in it was LOUD.

Excellent inexpensive way to add volume to HP Elitebook (and other devices!)
The speakers in my HP elitebook combination small laptop/Tablet device are very weak by design. Small and "edge/bottom fired. Needed audio boost for my device, but didn't want anything huge, and I was not concerned with having "stereo" as much as just being able to hear audiobooks, audio editing, etc. This little speaker was designed to even if the audio jack is on a very thin device that sits on a table, it's likely to fit into the jack and not cause an issue with how the device sits. I had concerns, but it worked beautifully. Users would not want any weight to be on the speaker itself or risk breaking both the jack in the device and the plug built onto the speaker. This speaker fit fine even though the jack is in the bottom half of the small laptop's body. (see picture.) Also tried on my LG-v20 phone. Lends much volume. Audio-wise it's not exceptionally wide ranged due to it's size, but..if you want crisp, distinct audio for audiobooks, or you don't mind mono sound from a decent speaker that exceeds what a teeny-tiny built-in speakers do, this seems fine. Cannot address run-time yet, but it did charge quickly for it's initial "top off." It definitely lends plenty of volume for near-device listening. Build is average to good, and if cared-for should be fine for quite some time.

How is this "good quality sound"
Look, I wasn't expecting a Bose quality speakers. I was expecting a possibly muffled, no bass sound since the price is very affordable. However, the static fuzz coming from the speaker is so loud it over powers what I want to be listening to. This isn't acceptable quality whatsoever. I'm actually making the listening experience worse. I tried to deal with it, I tried using an extension cord thinking maybe it was a connection issue but still, loud static as soon as I hit play, even if nothing is happening on screen. I'm not sure if I was sent a defective device or if this is the standard but if it's the latter DON'T BUY imo. At least from what I'm experiencing atm.

Great and Easy Speaker
Shockingly useful little speaker with really easy plug-and-play setup. Use it with my PC and my Switch 2 and it works totally fine with both. The audio is super clear and not overly loud or tinny, which is nice. Just make sure you don't turn it on until AFTER it's plugged in to avoid horrible screeching/scratching noises lol.

They say good bass response but not true
I am mostly using it with my I phone six to listen to news and talk radio. Very good for that. Can not really hear the bass if I listen to music so they should not advertise that it does. For the money and size it is fine for what it is.

Outstanding performance!
I have an old android phone and the sound quality is poor. I don't listen to music from my phone. However, I watch a lot of youtube videos and some of the sound quality from random videos are either too low or poor. Like a lot of the phones in the past...the speaker is in the back (always have to cup your hand around it for sound to travel to the front) Anyway, this portable amplified speaker fixed all that. The sound is incredible! I have recorded inflight footage in the bombardiers seat of a Boeing B-29 Superfortress ( FIFI ) and the the sound from the speaker make my hair stand up! The sounds from inside the cabin and the engines coming from the speaker was awesome!! Features and info: The speaker is very lightweight. Comes with a white 5 or 6 inch USB charging cord. The my speaker was pre-charged when received. The speaker is all plastic and the back features a recessed rubber backing with a on and off push button. A little blue light will illuminate when the pushing the button to on. When charging, it will illuminate red and shut off when fully charged. Advice: When plugging in to charge..hold the outer round housing. Not the back, you may accidentally turn it on when plugging it in. Do the same when handling it around ( like in a tote or coat pocket ) Charge time was quick and had it in my phone for an hr or so with no issues.

Worked great..until it didn’t
I loved this little speaker when I got it, and for several months. Unfortunately, the on/off switch has built-in obsolescence. A few weeks ago it started getting temperamental, turning on by itself. Now, no only did it turn itself on, but it won’t shut off. It’s a very disappointing development as this was a really nice speaker.
