Very sturdy, great fit.
I purchased this to go between my Rode PSA1 Pro boom arm and my Shure SM7B. This works great to give more room for my XLR Cable and Triton Audio FetHead. I recommend this if you are using that combination. The adapter only came in a plastic bag which was a surprise, it is pretty pricey but worth it in the long run I guess.

Good but expensive. Treat it like a one use consumable.
Works perfectly for a boom arm to give the Shure SM7B the extra clearance for the cable. Unfortunately it is now stuck completely to my Blue Compass and I can’t get it off. My Blue Compass tension has gone and I now need to buy another extension tube because I can’t get it off the old arm. Won’t even come off with a wrench so I’m stuck unable to switch this to a new boom arm.

Shure SM7B with + Shure A26X 3inch Extension Tube + RØDE PSA1 Microphone Boom Arm
I use this with my Shure SM7B, it's a great purchase and fits easily and perfectly to the RØDE PSA1. This prevents the Shure SM7B XLR connector banging into the boom arm meaning I can swivel the mic 360° in any position with no problem whatsoever. It's a relatively cheap addition which doesn't appear on Shure's website as an accessory for the Shure SM7B, but it should because it's well milled, simple and amazing!

Does What It Says On The Tin
It's an extender for the SM7B. Works a charm. Not the cheapest piece of plastic I've bought but it does exactly what it was set out to do. Great with the RODE PSA1 arm and SM7B combination.

Good product
Good product. I used it to suspend a Shure SM7B from a microphone stand to give a bit of extra clearance. Does the job well.

Stuck
It works great, but it's now stuck on my Rode PSA1 forever. I no longer needed the extender so I unscrewed it from the arm, then it was stuck to my SM7B, so I attached both back onto the arm, managed to get the mic off of the extender, but now the extension is stuck on the arm and somehow the tightest thing on earth.

Stiff and sturdy
It’s a great stiff adapter. But expensive.

It’s exactly what the description says. Perfect.

Because of the build of the SM7B, it does not have full rotation when paired with the Rode PSA1, which is an excellent mic boom arm. This piece allows the mic to have full rotation without hitting the mic boom at all.

Thanks to this i can tilt my Shure SMB7 microphone on my Rode stand. Should be standard with the microphone

Okay, this was hard to figure out how to put on. Mind you I was a bit dense. The issue, is that the brass piece on the SHURE SB7M or whatever needs to come out, that's an adapter piece used to allow it to fit on most mic arms that use something slightly larger than a quarter-inch screw attachment. THEN you can thread on the extender. and re-apply (if needed or wanted) the brass adapter that came with the SHURE pre-installed. I just didn't know that brass piece could be removed and I lost the instructions; if they ever came with one. I don't know or remember. Only con, and this is some hair splitting, and pure aesthetics; wished the paint on the extender matched that of the Shure mic. The shure mic has a very rough matte finish, this is shiny and smooth to the touch. AGAIN, only an aesthetic issue. BUT IT works like a charm, I don't run into issues on my Blue Compass extender arm which other sites recommended this adapter for that mic arm. SO yeah, buy it if you need it. ESPECIALLY, since THANK YOU SHURE, at $8. MAN, seriously, how cool is that, 8 DOLLARS, normally companies would be jerks and charge you like $30 for this cheap adapter since it would be considered as a luxury accessory. Thank you for respecting your customers shur, I MEAN YEAH, technically this could have been made differently and you could have gone with the whole "insert mic into bungee cord cage and then have the arm attachment protrude for the cage. This just looks cleaner and less complicated.

Fácil instalación y muy útil sobre todo para darle un poquito más de extensión a lo que viene siendo el brazo, yo lo compre para un brazo de la marca RODE.
