I tried two other styles of sun shades before biting the bullet and spending more money on this one. The first was a cheaper flexible internal frame style. It was fine once you had it in place, but getting the hang of twisting it all around to put it away was more trouble than it was worth (although I did like how compact it got). The second was a sort of semi-rigid roll up one that was definitely easier to put away than the first one, but because it gets rolled up to put away, the edges stayed curled and it just didn’t fit right, it also took up a lot of space when rolled. This one folds like an accordion into rigid segments. It maintains its shape when put up and folds up into a single flat stack. It takes up storage room in the sense that it is as long as your windshield is tall, but because it is made of flat segments it fits well in the space under the back seat. It’s easy to use and provides great coverage that blocks out plenty of sun. My truck is black with a black interior, it gets super hot when parked in the sun. This shade makes a very noticeable difference and I believe it will protect my dash from becoming brittle and cracked. A little cumbersome but the best choice in my opinion.

I don't know what happened but the shield separated the first time used in the heat. Also it does not fit a F150 windshield, it is short at the top. I don't know if they shortened it for easier install. but it was short enough for heat to seep in at the top of the windshield and then at the bottom of the shield it separated. I have another shield by Husky, bought 6 years ago for another car and it works just fine and has lasted so far so it must be the material difference. Failed in quality so I sent it back.

I bought this sunshade for my 2016 f150 lariat. Although if fitted very well and initially seemed a very good quality, the material is deteriorated extremely fast during our very hit summer's. We have 100 degrees for weeks in the row and unfortunately this sunshade is just not good enough for that. The heat cooked the silver fabric causing it to crack and expose its interiors. It is made out of plastic inside and that also began cooking causing the shade to no longer be able to stay straight. For keeping using this very expansive su shade I've begun using the black fabric side up. It is a workaround and it doesn't make anyone else see how bad it actually looks. If you are looking for a sunshade for places in the planet where a sunshade is actually needed...steer away from this one. You will regret it.

It’s a good sunshade, fits alright, blocks sun. It’s not good for the long run. Over time the seams will split and the silver will split.

It works well. It folds and unfolds and blocks out the sun, thus helping keep my vehicle cooler and protected. It’s thick. It’s durable. It’s shady. And, it helps me hidden from prying eyes when I’m hiding in the car.

I’m impressed with the fit of this sunscreen. It’s also easy to install. You won’t be disappointed!

I ordered the size that fits the 2024 Ford F-350. The cover fits the windshield really well. There aren't many gaps that aren't completely covered. HOWEVER - I ordered the cover in August 2024. I have used the cover on average 5 out of 7 days of the week, every week since. About a month ago, the seams/stitching started to break. This led to the pieces or sections of material bending and becoming very flimsy. The cover now sags and is quickly becoming unusable. The warranty listed by the manufacturer is for 30 day returns, NOT for 12 months. I paid $85 USD for my cover. If you want a sunshade cover that fits well and will last 6 months, this is the one for you. If you want a cover that will last much longer AND has a warranty that is comparable to the price of the product, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

My dad and I both got this and his ended up melting in the nevada summer heat and mine is cracking and warped. It fits the windshield great and is only a minor pain to get put up, but I also have a dashmat making it a tight fit. It covers the entire windshield and does great blocking the sun.
