What is the warning about?

I strongly encourage you to research Prop 65. The basics of it is that in California, if a product does not test low enough for certain contaminants it must carry the warning. It also must carry the warning if the company has chosen not to test the product at all.

I have seen this warning on multiple Orgain 
products. It seems the brand either contains more contaminants than California allows or they do not test their product at all. Usually the warning is for chemicals that cause cancer and reproductive harm.

My guess just from researching this issue is that some of the ingredients are probably grown in soil that has heavy metal contamination. Heavy metals like lead are linked to cancer and other health issues. Of course it could also be that Orgain has chosen not to test for any contaminants which personally I feel is neglectful in regards to consumer safety. Only they will be able to tell you for sure though why they had to put the warning.

The ingredients on the Orgain Organic Nutrition Creamy Chocolate Fudge in my hand right now (dated best before 31Dec2016) are listed below.
