The AF300A is an excellent shredder for specific applications
This is a solid shredder that does its job and is much better than the staples brand shredder we had before. It does have a specific use though. If, like us, your intention is to get through years worth of shredding, you may be better off getting two of the Boxis AS120s. What you are paying for in the AF300A vs the AF120 is a higher capacity load tray (300 pages vs 120), higher capacity bin and locking ability. We have yet to use the lock ability as it is for personal use. If your intention is to use it periodically throughout the day in a common space, this is an ideal shredder. It is not ideal for sustained use, however. I can typically run 600 pages (two loads of the max capacity back to back) before the temperature safety shuts the machine down and it takes about an hour to shut down. Our AF120 has less capacity, but it seems to run much longer even back to back. If I were to do it again I would likely buy 2-3 AF120s for the same price. This is not the fault of the manufacturer, however and preforms well for its intended use, thus the 5 stars. Also: my machine came with one of the rolling wheels smashed (likely the shipper handling the box really rough as one of the corners of the box was caved in), I contacted boxis directly and they sent me out a new set of wheels quickly and for free. Its nice to know they stand by their product and have invested in solid customer service.

This is the best paper shredder I’ve ever owned.
About 5 years ago, I owned a paper shredder I bought on Amazon. The Amazon Basics brand, and man it was a pain in the you know what. Since then, I’ve been looking for a top quality paper shredder since then and I’ve found one with the Boxis AF70. Use: This paper shredder is everything I hoped it would be. Two slots for your paper, one is auto feed and one is a manual feed. You can shred up to 70 sheets and 8 cards at a time. So far, I’ve shredded about 30 papers at a time and I’ve had no problems with it jamming. The waste bin slides out and it’s easy to clean. Cleaning: This paper shredder comes with 8-10 pre lubed sheets so you don’t have to worry about using paper shredder oil separately. I recommend you use one of those lube sheets every month. It comes with a liner bag you can line the waste bin with. However, I recommend you don’t use the liner bag. When you start seeing debris from the shreds, take a disinfected wipe, a paper towel, and wipe inside the bin. The yellow light won’t go off if you don’t line the bin properly with the bag. I personally don’t use the bag. No wonder this paper shredder always sells out. It’s a top of the line quality paper shredder. Highly recommended you buy it. It’s on wheels too so you can roll it anywhere and you can lock the wheels so it won’t roll if you want too.

📑 500 pages shredded... and counting 🏆
This machine literally can last 20 mins+ continuously. This shredder can utilize BOTH shredding slots at the same time! So you can automatically do 70-pages of paper in the back slot (that shreds one page at a time = 70 total) and 8-pages manually in the front slot. The machine will indicate if it needs to cool down and/or requires the bin to be emptied. The manual reverse option doesn't really work as efficiently but I barely needed to use it (since it has an automatic reversal to prevent paper jam). The wheels come attached to the machine, so it's ready to use straight out the box. It also comes with 5 lubricant sheets and a plastic recycling bag. The cord is shorter and you probably would need an extension cord. The paper shreds are a true small micro-cut shred which is the best for maximum security of sensitive documents. This is a machine worth the price and will last a long time as long as you use lubrication sheets regularly (every time it needs cool down and/or after 30 mins of use). The size is compact (similar to a small office trash bin), which is much smaller than other large capacity shredders. I've shredded over 500 pages of papers, credit cards, cardboard folders, and DVD discs without ANY ISSUES. This shredder is reliable and so much cheaper than paying to shred at Staples. I hope this review helps :)

In love with Autofeed, bin get full with 90 pages
First I like the fact that is ready to work, no assembly needed. Instructions are simple. It can shred from auto-feed AND manual feed simultaneously. I put 60 pages and it takes less than 6 minutes to finish. The bin seems full, but you need to shake the shredder a little so the bin can accommodate more. Maybe 90 pages are the limit before the FULL button lights up. It's really small, just 23 inches in height so is perfect for a small office. Time will tell about long-lasting use.

Great shredder
This is the best shredder I have ever purchased. I shred a lot with my notary business. I love that this shredder has a automatic tray feeder to help shred large amounts of paper. Just sit it in the tray and your hands are free to work on something else! I also love that it has a single page feeder and card shredder. This shredder is very easy to use and it is not too loud!

AUTO FEED IS GREAT - WORTH THE EXTRA $$$
EVERY SHREDDER SHOULD HAVE AUTO FEED. WORKS GREAT & MUCH MORE CONVENIENT FOR RECYCLING ALL DOCUMENTS. THE SLOW, ONE-SHEET-AT-A-TIME SHREDDERS WERE TOO TIME CONSUMING, SO WE OFTEN ONLY TOOK THE TIME TO SHRED SENSITIVE DOCUMENTS INSTEAD OF EVERYTHING. THE SMALL COLLECTION BINS IN SHREDDERS INCLUDING THIS ONE ARE ANNOYING. THEY ARE MESSING AND NEED EMPTYING TOO OFTEN. ATTN MANUFACTURES: AUTO FEEDS AREN'T ROCKET SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY. UPDATE YOUR PRODUCTS. WELCOME TO THE MILLENIUM!

does not deliver on page count volume/autofeed
Microcuts are expensive, and this shredder seemed to be a reasonable compromise as I needed one that could autofeed and handle 100-125 pages at a time. The autofeed does not handle 100 pages, but does handle 70, so again, a compromise The bin is small - so small that it needs to be emptied if indeed one tries to shred the 70 pages, so while the autofeed says it can handle 70 pages, it does not do so with the bin provided. I am not sure how the company tested the page count given this The nice option is the front throat shredder, which is able to handle 12-18 pages at once -- virtually flawlessly -- and that is key as that works while the autofeed does not (see below) The autofeed -- works, until it doesn't which is after 25-30, maybe 35/40 or so pages. The autofeeder jams, and / or the shredder jams no matter how much, how often or how little shredder oil or shredder oil sheets one uses, requiring manual disimpaction of the shredder blades or the autofeed itself The amount of time required to actually use the product is well in excess of the time that would be needed to shred the same number of pages with a shredder that reports far fewer page counts as the workflow is: 1) make sure bin is empty 2) put 70 pages in autofeed 3) sit back and work while the shredder works 4) about 1/3 of the way through shredding, the shredder stops 5) stop working and get up and "shake the shredder" to allow the accumulated shredded paper to settle so the "full button" in disengaged 6) restart the shredder 7) go back to work 8) after another 5-10-15 pages, the shredder stops 9) get up and again shake the shredder to see if the "full button" is what is stopping the shredder; usually it is not the problem 10) pull out the bin 11) shredded paper now all over the floor 12) empty the shredder 13) replace the bin 14) shredder still not working 15) pull out the bin 16) remove the electrical plug, get on my knees and start to manually remove the jammed paper from the shredder blades hoping not to cut my fingers 17) the shredded paper mess on the floor increases exponentially 18) with all fingers accounted for, replace the bin 19) take out the remaining stack of paper from the autofeed and replace it with a neat grouping of the still unshredded paper 20) replace the electrical plug and restart the shredded 21) take out the broom/vacuum and clean the mess in a perfect world with all the stars aligned -- the first 70 page process completes far too often, something else goes wrong and I hand feed the remaining paper in the front shredder throat now, start the next patch of the paper that needs to be shredded as my usually grouping is 100-125 pages, but I did not want to spend > $700 for a microcut shredder that could handle more than 100 pages at a time long story short -- a terrible product if one wishes to use all the features -- 70 count autofeed if one only wants to shred 1-18 pages using the front throat, it works well as a microcut shredder

Great for large home volume
Purchased this to convert decades of documents to digital. I wore out before the unit did. Three years later -still going strong. Bottom Line: Happy with purchase "Warning" I regularly use the oil/cleaning /sharpening papers recommended after so many sheets shredded. Highly recommend to do this I think this plays big on the unit still going strong . Read the manual and purchase the recommended all in one oil, clean sharpen patch you feed thru the unit shredder.

Great
This is a nifty efficient little shredder. I've tried not to max the amount of pages when shredding but it chews through the paper quite handily. The size of the microcut bits are great if one has privacy concerns as well. It's a little noisier than desired but it's not a deal-breaker. I also like that it is so compact and on wheels. It's easy to get it to wherever it's needed most or to tuck it into a convenient corner. So far, a great choice.
