Amazon shipped very quickly. Made pizzas the first night - love it!!! Note: you need 1/2 hr at least to let the stone get up to temperature 500 - 600 degrees. ALSO BUY A PIZZA PEEL!

At last! I have found a quality pizza stone for my Weber Grill. I have purchased others in the past, which were either too thin or over priced and had inept thermometers which resulted in poorly cooked Pizza. This stone from Pizzacraft is OUTSTANDING! The stone is thick, it mounts on the stainless steel bracket via peg holes and the side mounted *genius* thermometer is accurate within a few degrees. NO more BURNT PIE~ I also can detach the stone from the base and use the stone in my kitchen oven as well. Stones of this size and thickness are a challenge to find. I am ecstatic I found this one, and with an excellent price as well~

I should have just spent $4000 on a wood fired pizza oven for my back yard because over the years I have bought literally EVERY outdoor pizza stone, oven, etc... known to man. I've spent hundreds of $$ on worthless pieces of crap. Propane ovens that promised to deliver and couldn't get higher than 450 degrees!!! I was just about to spend another $300 for a pizza "oven" when I saw this for my grill. I bought two so I could use them side by side. Yes the thermometer gets foggy after the first couple of uses, but WHO CARES!!!!??? You know it's super hot. My grill has a thermometer and HELLO I can basically figure out when it's hot enough to put the dough on it. Come on. Really. We made the best pizzas ever with this stone. It got so hot that we were happy we used pizza screens first. Then after about 2 minutes we took the pizza off the screen and put it directly on the stone. 30 seconds later ... DONE. Best tasting and best looking pizza I ever made. I did use 00 flour that I bought on Amazon too but in reality I think a basic recipe would have cooked just as well. These stones are great. Easy to clean and I am looking forward to an entire summer of pizza parties in my back yard. Now if I can just get my guests NOT to overload the pizza. :-)

Having sampled great homemade pizza on a similar grill stone, we decided to have a go ourselves. The results were very satisfying. Trader Joe's pizza dough + some cheese and prosciutto and we really had a good facsimile of the wood fire equivalent. Having looked at building a wood fired oven (think hours + $$$), this less than $100 stone this is defiantly a cost effective alternative. Helps if you have a great grill that gets hot quickly (Weber Genesis.

This pizza stone works very, very well. It gets up to a good 700-800 degrees which is what you need to make good pizza. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. The thermometer on the front cracked the second time I used it - no doubt that can't handle the temperature. OK so no big deal. But science has now been rewritten. Stainless steel rusts. At least, the "stainless" steel used to make this product. Hugely disappointing for a product that works so well! To make matters worse, Amazon provides no method for return after 30 days. This is a true manufacturing defect, yet I am out of luck. Update 9/21/2013: Today Amazon agreed to make a special dispensation - and agree to a return, even though it is out of the return window. I then saw the credit they had issued - less a 20% restocking fee which hadn't been mentioned when they agreed to the return! Just hope you are not the one who gets the "restocked item". I feel lucky - I get the privilege of paying 20% of the purchase price to return stainless steel that rusts:-(
