iPhone 6S Case, elago® [Duro][Matte Black/Creamy Yellow] - [Premium Armor][Heavy Shock Absorption][Dual Layers] – for iPhone 6/6S

I've only had this case for about 10 days now, but so far I love it. I looked at a lot of cases in stores, and couldn't find one that I didn't have to "settle" for at too high of a price. This Elago Duro case fit my taste and my wants for a phone case, and at a great price too. It's got just enough friction so I know my phone won't slip out of my hand, but not feel like it's stuck to my hand, if that makes sense. The champagne gold with the gray looks very nice and sophisticated. The other colors are really nice too, and it was hard to choose among them! It appears the finish is pretty durable and won't scratch easily, but time will tell on that. The case gives the phone a bit more bulk than a skin type case, but it still fits in my pocket just fine, and I feel it will provide adequate protection if the phone is dropped. It's got enough of a lip on the front to protect the screen when placed face down on a tabletop, and also around the raised camera window at the back to protect that. I like the wider opening for the camera at the back; I can see a peek of my champagne gold phone, and nothing is reflecting off my case when I take pictures. The buttons feel very responsive. My only complaint is that when I have the phone in my left hand, the power button is slightly curved toward the front of the case, so I have to sort of contort my finger a bit to hit it properly. Not a deal breaker, but a little annoyance just the same. Also have to compliment the company on using minimal packaging to cut down on waste. Very happy with this case so far, and would recommend it to everyone. **Update March 2017: the champagne colored hard plastic part of the case got pretty scratched up. The case was still wonderfully doing its job, but I felt I needed a refresh and new color. I ordered the coral/black case. Unfortunately, the coral hard plastic is slick and does not have the slightly rubberized friction of my champagne gold case, and because of that, I've dropped my phone more in the last week than I have in 2 yrs with the other case! In spite of all the falls, I'm happy to report that the case beautifully protected my phone from any damage!! Yay!! I do prefer the more friction-y case, but will keep this slicker one until I tire of it. It does it's job with flying colors!

Wife bought this and she loves it. It's not slippery, which is a huge plus since she seems to constantly drop her phone. She's had this cover for a few months and it appears to be holding up pretty well. Really sturdy, great protection, looks just like the picture. The one complaint she has had on this is that the rubber buttons covering the actual iphone side buttons isn't the best, she has to press a little harder to get the sound up or lock the phone, but not enough that she complains about it often. Now that the iPhone 7 is out this will probably stop production, so get it while you can if you are looking for a sturdy, nice looking case for your iPhone 6

I purchased the jean indigo with matte black in February when I couldn't find my favourite jelly case for the phone. On the bright side, I don't have to worry that my jeans will stain the case. It looks just like the picture. I have a galaxy grey iPhone, but it does not make the phone look bulky. It is well constructed, but I do have to say that oil marks accumulate relatively easy for the jean indigo material (also really easy to spot), but they wipe off easily if you stick them in your pockets. As of now, I have a couple superficial scratches and picks on the shell. Somehow around the rim surrounding the camera, there is a melted scar, or just a nick, from something I am totally unsure of. You can see there is a 0.25 mm gap where the shell fits the rubber casing at the bottom, where it isn't as firm as the top. Same gapping around the home button, but it's still good. This case hugs the phone just right. Nothing like dust can squeeze into it! I've dropped this phone so many times omg. My mother has a 6+, and uses a leather wallet case (stuffed with dollar bills and credit cards), but ever since her third drop, her phone started cracking even though she has one of those expensive fitted glass screen protectors. I have one too, but I've dropped my phone like eight times from as high as me accidentally tossing it up 5-6 ft onto wooden flooring or 4 ft onto stone tile with even screwing up the device. Sometimes I'm just playing around with my sisters and bonk them in the head with my phone when they're mean. They claim it's hard and it hurts. The phone is totally okay. It's a good quality case. The camera opening may seem funny, but I like it. It actually helps my phone capture better shading and keeps my fingers away from the lens. It does get a little dirty around the edge, so I'd use a Q-tip to wipe off the dust every other month. It also gives plenty of space for objects to not have a reason to touch the lens. If you're complaining about how ridiculous it is to have it across the width instead of just the camera side, consider how funny it'd be to lay it down and have your phone slanted to one side. The lips are great because even if you have a thick screen protector, you'll still have plenty of space between the top and surface. It also helped me during many occasions when it drops onto scratchy pavement or new road surfaces. My phone heats up a lot when I'm using busy apps, so I have to let it cool off for about half an hour. I guess it's good because I'm making myself take a break, but I'm worried that it may one day overheat my phone.

I have been using elago cases since the iPhone 4. I've tried other cases, but they just were not for me; I love elago's minimalist style cases. In particular, I have been using the Glide series cases for all my iPhones because of the protection it offered. Since elago released this Duro case that offered more protection, I naturally grabbed it first. I applied it to my phone and immediately loved the color. For a case that offers more protection for the iPhone, I would have expected it to be bulkier; it was a pleasant surprise to find that this case is not a big brick like otter box cases. I work outdoors a lot and drop my phone more times than I wish to declare, and if that is you too, I definitely recommend this case for you. I have dropped it several times already and the shock absorption that this case offers has worked great for me so far.

Awesome case. Totally covers my iphone 6, protects it nicely and sturdy. I am totally worry free after having this case. I have used elago cases for iphone 5 and had good experience so bought this one and this one has turned out awesome. I like something which covers the bottom part of the phone and doesnot look that bulky and this case exactly does that. Its not that bulky and protects the iphone 6 perfectly and keeps it safe. Apple pay and wifi and network connections work flawlessly after putting this case I havent seen any issue. Its cheap and value for money. Dont buy expensive apple cases go with ealgo!!!

I've purchased an Elago case in the past and was very happy with it's sleek, non-bulky design and its durability. Since I purchased an iPhone 6, I knew I wanted the same brand for the same reasons mentioned. I went ahead and bought this case because it offers full protection, no areas are exposed leaving your phone susceptible to scratches or dents. All the buttons are accessible and protected. The camera is also very well protected. 1 of my 2 complaints is that the bottom part of the case, which is where you access the lighting port and headphone jack, isn't easily accessible for all aux cables to connect to your car stereo. I use the 'L" shaped aux cable that connects to a tape deck since I have an older car. If I want to listen to my music I have to pop out the bottom left corner of my phone in order for the aux to fully enter the headphone port, otherwise the sound is choppy and faint. It's just really inconvenient to have to do that every time I get in the car. 2nd complaint is that the coating on the back part of the case has started to chip off. I've had the case for less than a month and already it's wearing down and making my case look really cheap. It started off with a dark spot and later it hardened and started peeling off on its own with use. I'm going to keep it until I find another case that is more accessible with different aux cables and that won't have significant peeling after only a month.

*****2016 UPDATE: I've had this case around a year and a half and want to add: 1) I've dropped my phone plenty of times - no damage, the case does a great job; and 2) the white part of the case is showing some light scratching and wear, but that's expected over time. Still a 5 star case.***** The Duro Case really compliments and enhances the iPhone. 1) Protection: If it doesn't do this, what's the point. It fits like a glove, its sturdy and has a nice lip around the screen and backside camera. It sure makes the phone less slippery than without a case. I've had this case for about two months and haven't dropped it yet (and I don't want to just to test it), but I'd have a hard time believing it wouldn't provide great protection. I'll have to update this review whenever I drop my phone. 2) Function: The button covers make a good contact with iPhones buttons and they're not too hard to press. The lip around the backside camera doesn't produce any flash glare. The lip around the screen make using the touch ID a bit annoying, but its a small trade off for the protection. Besides, you get use to it. 3) Style: This is a great marriage of function and looks. As a hybrid case it provides a good amount of protection, but isn't bulky. It's a sleek hi-tech look. The slot for the back-side camera is unique and provides an opportunity for a contrasting accent of color and material. There are some great colors offered - many of them unique. Even though I liked several of the colors, I purchased one in white for it's clean modern look and as a contrast to my Space Gray phone. I highly recommend this case!

This case is everything I wanted. it's slim and it seems very strong. The case extends around the screen enough to protect the curved edges, but allows room for a glass screen protector just fine. The outer material is not super slippery, and is easy to hold on to. The button covers work well - they're a bit larger than some other cases I've had, but they are solid. I can get various headphone plugs into the bottom opening as well. Really, I don't think I would change anything about this case. Totally solid. I got it after my first case (from a brand I have liked in the past) was defective. I will now stick to this brand as much as I can. I really like this case.

Fits my iPhone6 perfectly. It isn't as bulky as most iPhone cases and does the basic job of protecting it from standard falls. Looks neat and elegant and buttons are easy to access. I find the fingerprint scanning to be a tad impeded after fitting the case but fixed it by getting scanning my fingers sideways as well. Problem solved.
