The noise level is impressively low, especially considering its power, which makes it ideal for use at night or during quiet times. With a CFM of [specific CFM if available], it's perfect for spaces up to [size] square feet. Powerful Exhaust Fan That Moves a Lot of Air
I installed this exhaust fan to improve ventilation, and it has worked very well. It moves a lot of air and does a great job removing heat, humidity, and stale air from the space. The shutters open and close smoothly when the fan turns on and off. The fan feels well-built, and once installed, it has operated reliably. It has made a noticeable difference in keeping the area cooler and better ventilated. One helpful tip is to seal around the fan with exterior-grade caulk or weatherproof foam after installation. This helps prevent air leaks, keeps insects out, and gives the installation a cleaner finished look. The only minor downside is that it’s not completely silent. You can definitely hear it running, but that’s expected for a fan moving this much air. Overall, it’s a powerful, dependable exhaust fan that performs exactly as advertised. I’d recommend it to anyone needing better ventilation for a garage, workshop, greenhouse, or shed.

Nice exhaust fan
In the winter, when snow melts off my car, I get lots of condensation in my heated garage, causing mold to form on windows, etc. in the garage. I had this fan installed and now I can easily control the problem. I plugged it into a wifi outlet and I use that to turn it on & off. When there is condensation, I turn the fan on via the wifi & I can set it to run 3-4 hours (or whatever I choose) - this way it doesn't run unnecessarily long if I forget to turn it off. As an added bonus, I had new wood flooring installed - the kind they have to stain & apply urethane. The installer wanted to put a box fan in a window to exhaust air & fumes caused by the chemicals. I suggested we open the door going to the garage & turn on the exhaust fan. It worked great. You can adjust the speed of the fan to get appropriate air flow and this fan can move more air than a typical box fan. We actually didn't have to run it very fast. The installer was impressed.

Great product at a decent price
Fan was exactly what i needed. Very easy to install. Thermostat works well. Unit lowers the temp. in my garage quite a bit. It is no louder than a window fan , even when on high speed. speed is adjustable if you want it to run slower. All i had to do was cut a hole in the wall, and wire an outlet close to it, so i could plug it in. Did those two things, installed, and turned on. Works great. good quality, built well.

Fan
Fan works good so far. Make sure you lean the top of the fan back a little when you install or the vents wont close all the way. The controller has a mind of it's own and works part time you can't trust it. I use a timer and have had good luck with it. I wouldn't buy it with a controller.

Really moves out the hot air!
Our 10x14 greenhouse was getting above 100 degrees inside on sunny 85-degree days, even with four opened windows, 2 HAF fans, and a 40% shade cloth. Warm air was getting trapped near the roof and couldn't escape, so we basically had a very large oven of sorts. After digging through hundreds of reviews, I decided to go with the iLIVING 12" exhaust fan, and it's been solid. I could feel a difference in temperatures within a few minutes. Installation was a breeze after framing in an opening and only took a few minutes. If I had one gripe, it'd be the blue tape applied to the louvers. I understand why it was put on, but there has to be an easier way to take it off. There were a few small sections that I couldn't remove, but fortunately, it's very hard to spot unless you're looking for it. Just single blue pieces of tape without them wrapping around the top of the louver would have been sufficient. We've received some ridiculously hard rains since the install, and I haven't noticed any leaks. As long as it's sealed well around the edges, then the shutters should protect the rest. The thermostat works great. I have the fan speed at approximately 80%, and have it set to turn on at 90 degrees. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy this same fan again if I needed another.

The best fan
This is the best fan. Larger motor, medium noise, speed adjustable. Runs in a preset temp mode or you can just turn it on manually anytime you wish. I use this fan in my commercial kitchen where we make a handcrafted seasoning called 1788.

Great exhaust fan for the garage
It's an easy install and works right out of the box. Just plug and play. It moves a good bit of air and is actually quite quiet. I can't hear it in the basement with the garage door closed and it doesn't vibrate at all unlike my fan hood in the kitchen. Haven't used the temp switch as I plugged it into a remote switch before going into the outlet and will just turn it on when I'm sawing or painting to remove dust and fumes. Great addition to the clean air aspect of the work space. Longevity remains to be seen but will update. So far a ten for the price and convenience. Recommended.

Much better than expected!
I installed this fan in my garage to vent the heat out in the evenings. Oh boy, did it make a difference! My wife and I were shocked at how well this unit performs - it's strong enough to create a vacuum against the door to the house so that when we enter the garage it pulls the door shut behind us. It's reduce the temperature in the garage by 8-10 degrees Celsius in the evenings (on a hot day would get to 28C and now we can get it under 20C by midnight. The house subsequently is cooler, specifically the bedroom above the garage. It was a big difficult to find a vent cover that I could use on the outside of the house, as I didn't want to leave it open. I found a 14x14 metal cover at Rona for about $35 which has done the trick. The wiring was pretty straightforward (green under green screw, black to black, white to white) but the instructions are terrible. Take a few pictures of your wiring and have an electrician friend confirm your wiring if you're not certain about it. We also purchased the wireless controller system. It works really well and is pretty easy to figure out (again, the instructions suck but it's pretty straightforward). Would highly recommend this add-on. One other thing - the baffles on the back side of the unit are awesome. The overall unit is much more commercial grade/industrial than I was expecting - I was expecting something a little stronger than a 150 CFM bathroom fan but this thing can crush a lot of airflow and is not even in the same league as a bathroom fan. We didn't realize how much of a difference this fan has made, and have recommended it to many family and friends. If you have a garage or crawl space it's worth the investment, you'd be surprised!

Great air mover
Easy to install. Fits inside 16 inch studs in the wall. Simple to connect to power. The instruction diagram makes it very straight forward. Works great. Moves a lot of air and is not too noisy. The main noise is the rush of air coming through the fan. Very satisfied with this product.
