Wicked Good iPad Mini Mount!
I finally just got a chance to try this in a Cessna 152, using my ipad mini 2. Fits great. I mounted it vertically(portrait) style, and will try it in landscape mode next time. As you know, real estate in a 152 is fairly limited so everything needs to be perfect. I wanted something that would get my kneeboard mounted ipad off my knee because the yoke would hit it during steep turns. So this was the perfect thing. As far as product construction goes, I have no complaints. It is wicked (yes I'm from new england) sturdy and rugged. I don't forsee it ever breaking and will definetly outlast the technology itself it is holding. It took 5 seconds to install. During flight there was no vibration issue, and at no time did I feel like the ipad was going to fall out. In fact, the ipad snaps in so darn good and tight I thought it might break the ipad. One complaint I have is that you need to bring along a screw driver if you want to switch the mounting configuration. It would be cool if they could design something with a wing-nut or other non-tool fastener. Also, and I think its fairly obvious but this mount thing can't have any case or anything on your ipad. So I remove it from my storage case and stow it when I get in the plane, since I don't walk around with my bare ipad--you know you'll drop or nick it if it wasn't in a case.

Be aware if you own an 'iPad mini with Retina display' .. this item is for the original 'iPad mini' (the retainers are narrower)
This "RAM Mount Yoke Clamp Mount With Apple iPad mini EZ ROLL'R Cradle" sounded perfect for my 'iPad mini with Retina display' ... AND ... at a fantastic price; it was delivered yesterday. I inserted my 'iPad mini with Retina display' into the 'cradle' ("WITHOUT CASE, SKIN OR SLEEVE") and the bottom of the cradle caused the 'Tech Armor Screen Protector' to peel up and off, at the bottom corners of my iPad mini. I removed my iPad mini and pressed the screen protector back down on the bottom corners. I CAREFULLY reinserted my iPad mini into the "iPad mini EZ ROLL'R Cradle" and the bottom of the cradle once again, caused the screen protector on my iPad mini to peel up and off at both corners; this presents a problem. This ad says it should be inserted into the cradle "WITHOUT CASE, SKIN OR SLEEVE"; it didn't mention you can't have a thin screen protector on the display screen.I checked with the manufacturer today and found that this "iPad mini EZ ROLL'R Cradle" part number RAM-HOL-AP14U, is for the original 'iPad mini' and NOT the 'iPad mini with Retina display'; which is slightly thicker than the original iPad mini. This is not stated anywhere on the Amazon page for this product and that is why my screen protector was peeled off ... It was too tight at the bottom secure points. The correct cradle for an 'iPad min with Retina display' i is RAM-HOL-AP14RU. The 'R' in the next to last letter is for 'Retina' ... the 'U' just means the product is packaged in a poly bag.Unfortunately, this product is being returned. The channels that hold the original 'iPad mini' in place are narrower. This cradle is a VERY tight fit for the 'iPad mini with Retina display', which is causing my screen protector to be scraped off. I'm also VERY concerned about it possibly warping the 'iPad mini with Retina display' frame or breaking/damaging the glass. I especially don't want to take a chance that the improper/unsecure fit may pop my iPad mini out of the cradle ... not good at ANY time ... ESPECIALLY in flight!

Excellent iPad mount, especially for the price! I definitely recommend purchasing!
Bought this to use prior to my instrument checkride, worked absolutely perfect! Was used to flying a plane with an autopilot and just had my iPad on my lap, then switched to a plane to finish off my instrument rating that didn’t have an autopilot. I noticed I had trouble holding altitude and heading while briefing the plate or looking up information without a mount for my iPad. The first time I used this mount I noticed a world of difference! I did not want to spend a ton of money on a mount that wouldn’t work in my plane, as I have a stick, not a yoke, but it has proven to be continually useful when I fly aircraft other than my own. I am very impressed with its overall usefulness and sturdiness for the price, would definitely buy again and I do recommend to others!

PERFECT fit for iPad Mini mounting in aircraft.
I was a little hesitant to hit the "purchase" button on this one because even though it said it's a RAM mount, Sportys and other sellers are showing these as back-ordered. There was also no reviews and only one stock photo. So I was afraid it might be a knockoff or something. But I'm happy to report I received a genuine RAM mount with all parts included. It assembled quickly and easily. No instructions needed. And it fit PERFECTLY and securely in my Archer II. I use my iPad Mini mounted in this RAM mount and running Foreflight aviation GPS app. I can't describe how perfectly this fits on the yoke. There are several mounting options insofar as vertical or horizontal, mounting on opposite side yoke, etc. But the iPad Mini's size is perfect for mounting on the yoke and not interfering with movement, being perfectly visible directly in front of you and not blocking anything on the panel. I'll upload a photo of my setup soon. I don't see why anyone would want the mounts that clamp on the glare shield or suction cup on the window. This yoke mount is perfect, IMO.

Good, but still gets hot.
RAM makes goodness quality stuff. I do wish the iPad roller bracket had a little more aircraft flow behind the unit as ipads in airplanes tend to get hot and overheat causing shutdown. I don't feel like buying a $175 cooling holder. This would be a simple redesign for airflow.

Great fit in a Cessna 172.
Love the mount in my Cessna 172N. It feels sturdy and my iPad Mini 3 fits perfectly.I don't use a screen protector or case. The only drawback is that I have to turn the iPad upside down so it sits lower on the yoke. Otherwise it is too high and blocks the view on the instrument panel. I haven't tried running the mount underneath the yoke rather than over the top. I'll take some pictures and post.Updated with pictures. I tried running the mount from below the yoke but that didn't work. The way I installed it (as shown by the pictures) yield the best results. It's not blocking the instrument panel and provides a good view of the iPad.

Trial and error.
Works very well on the yoke. Was a little tricky attaching the ball onto the back of the i-pad holder. There are no instructions on how to screw it on and the holes only line up to 3 screws and not 4 which I think would make more sense. Had to reposition it twice for optimal positioning.
