RockTape Original 2-Inch Water-Resistant Kinesiology Tape

I went solely by reviews for my first purchase of this tape, so I deemed it only fair to leave a review for it, because it's wonderful! I swim and go for long walks regularly. My right knee has been twingeing, lightly, but enough to dampen my effort. I Rocktaped my knee for swimming the first time according to directions and I felt the support right away. But I had to tie a bandanna below my knee. So I modified the taping "design" some, adding some cross pieces, and now it's perfect for my needs. I got the pink tape and it looks awesome. Water: for me it has held up to 3-hour lap swimming sessions followed by steamroom then shower, then for another two days of the same. I do get the fraying threads at the edges and just snip them off. The tape has never come unstuck on its own (just corners but not the whole tape). The glue residue IS a bear to scrape off, but the payoff is the tape sticking through long swims so I don't mind.

This is a little more expensive than other brands, but it is the ONLY one that will hold even when it gets wet. In the pool, it'll last about 30 min. For hiking, when I've had to do multiple water crossings, it was the only kinesio tape that held. Would like more darker flesh tones & not a fan of the words with the print -- I don't like being a human billboard. The product is great, so I'm happy to recommend it without forced marketing.

I use this tape a lot when I get rubs during a run (or in reality a fast jog). I thought it was a little expensive so in between my last purchase I bought a similar product that was cheaper.... well after using that tape for the last year, I gave up and went back to this product. It just sticks soooooo much better. Rubs happen in difficult taping areas so this tape is pretty amazing that it stays in place during multiple run. I’ve also used it for the intend purpose and that’s great too but seriously the rub protection is legit, better than mole skin for sure. In my medical backpacking kit now.

This is my first experience with kinesio tape. I'm using it to help with support of heavy prego belly and holding in my diastasis recti. This stuff sticks! It says to apply to clean skin but I find that even if I have lotion on my belly from hours earlier it sticks the same (I have the hot pink.). I went up to 7 days where just 1 corner of 6 strips was starting to peel. And removal is the worst! My belly skin is soooo sensitive. I think other areas of the body would be okay to remove, but it definitely sucks removing the tape. I don't seem to notice a huge amount of support (I have a maternity belt that does a better job.) but my DR doesn't feel like it's ripping as much when I wear this.

I went out for a run with a friend the other night and ended up walking because my knee was hurting so much. My cousin recommended I try taping it with kinesiology tape. I'm a Prime member, so I jumped onto Amazon and found Rocktape. And it of course arrived quickly in two days. That night, I opened the package to read it so I would be ready for my run the next day. The instructions for taping my knee were pretty easy to understand. Just don't make the mistake I did. I wasted some of the tape because I didn't measure as well as I could have. I just eyeballed it and had too much, so I had to cut the excess off and then those pieces were too small to save for another purpose. But I'm not sad about that because the tape worked so well that I didn't have any knee pain during my 3 mile run that morning. I felt like a new person. In addition to my knee pain, I had shin splints too, so I taped them according to the instructions. I was only going to give this product a 4 out of 5 because the shin splint taping didn't eliminate the pain like the knee taping did. I still felt the shin splints during my run. But then, maybe it would have been much worse without the taping, and since it did such an amazing job with my knees, it more than earned the 5 stars. Oh, and I didn't have any trouble with the tape staying on. I cut rounded corners and I taped 15-20 minutes before my run and rubbed it down. Guys beware...don't try to tape over body hair. Pulling the tape off hurt even on smooth skin. And one last note is to keep in mind that it adds another layer, so with my capri leggings plus the tape, it made my run a little bit hotter, but that won't stop me from using it again for the pain to be gone!

Goes on easily and stays on for about 2 days. You should make sure the skin is clean and hair free for it to really stick

I bought this to help with my Plantar faciitis pain. I followed the instructions on how to apply the tape to my foot. I watched countless you tube videos and read many reviews. So i knew rock tape was the best among the kinesiology tape. I must say it has helped with my plantar faciitis, the only problem i have encountered is the ends of the tape tend to roll. Even when i cut it in a round shape and make sure there is no stretch at the ends. Within a few hours the end of my tape start rolling. Maybe i should buy some adhesive spray. But in all the reviews i read no one ever needed it for rock tape. Also this tape says it can be used in water sports and the shower. so i don't get why it isn't sticking. I only bought one roll which is probably good for a few wraps but the shipping and handling was almost as much as the product. The price i pay for living in hawaii. I wish they sold this product here on the island, so it would save me shipping... After using this product for a few weeks i'm frustrated with it. I really wish it would stick better. I want so much to like this but how can i like this when within a few hours it starts to roll off my skin. The longest it has stayed on is 2 days and that's with me constantly cutting the rolled areas. I have only used this on my foot. As much as i would like to try out the h2o version the shipping is whats holding me back. All in all its a great concept.
