An immersive gaming experience
The photos donโt do it justice. I grew up with Gameboy and super Mario games. Iโm also PlayStation fan boy by heart and last time I had Nintendo was the original Wii which I still have. I decided to buy the Gray - Switch Lite since they announced Paper Mario (and rumored Super Mario Galaxy). Nintendo made a smart move by following the trend of remakes because I played these games from night until dawn in elementary school; I am 24 now. Iโm so happy I bought the switch lite for its great value. This console is truly pushing the limits to current technology to its maximum. The screen is crystal clear while never compromising the vivid colors and gamesโ unique styles exclusively on switch & cross platform games. During PS4, I became a huge indie game lover. The second my switch lite came, binge bought a bunch of great games under 9$ with real deals on gems of up to 90% off. My first switch game to buy and play is Planet Alpha (originally 20$ bought for 3.50$) and itโs perfect indie game that truly makes you understand the design of switch lite with comfort and ease; and again never comprising beauty exclusive switch game. The sense of ease and the light portability of the console that does not compromise the beauty of games full immerses you into a personal gaming experience thatโs fun at any given moment. I also bought Overwatch on switch, which is also my go to on PS, to try and test my comfort level since I havenโt really played a handheld device in years. Overwatch is a great game to test the comfort on the switch lite because the game utilizes every button on the controller and in a fast paced. After a while it does feel a bit cramped but after adjusting the sensitivity you grow accustomed. OW surprised me so much and it is mind boggling to how they were able to compress the game onto this amazing console. Overall, I am satisfied and excited to spend years exploring the vast and diverse Nintendo library. This console is extremely worth it so far. No doubt Nintendo hit the nail on this console.

Simply amazing. Superior handheld over base Switch.
I own the regular Switch as well. I personally enjoy this one way more. Let me tell you why, because each model has its pros and cons. The regular switch is great if you want to play with other people in person. If you want to bring it out and have other people play with you. Itโs great if you mostly play on the couch. Thatโs sort of where it ends though. The switch is limited on specs. It is 720p in handheld and 1080p in dock. For someone like me who plays on 4k 60fps and 1440p 144hz PC gaming, I donโt need the dock mode. 1080 at 30-60fps just isnโt enough for me to want to use on a TV or monitor. I found myself only using my Switch in the handheld mode. Thatโs where the Switch Lite comes in. The first thing I notice is the size. Itโs smaller, but in a good way. Itโs much more mobile and sleek. I love the way it feels. With the smaller size, yes the screen is smaller. But thatโs not exactly a bad thing. The screen is smaller but the resolution is the same as the normal switch. Itโs still 720p. What that means is you get more PPI (Pixels Per Inch) on the screen. This means your games are less pixelated than a standard switch in handheld. You could say it might be a con that the joycons donโt come off of the lite, but I see it as a plus. The joycons feel a little shaky and I get worried I will bend them or make them loose on the standard switch. You donโt have to worry about that on the lite. The main downs side is it will be harder to fix if your console ends up get stick drift. Either way if that happens itโs not going to be a fun fix, but itโs still fixable. All in all, if you are debating on this or the standard switch, or already own a Switch, I would recommend this if you plan on playing in handheld mode most of the time. Itโs the superior choice of the 2 when it comes to hand held.

Awesome gaming system that brings back the classics along with new games and great parental controls
Great system that allows you to play multiple games from game boy, Sega genesis, Super Nintendo etc. It's a great size for transport and easy to carry for kids and adults alike. The color display is great on it and it's faster on speed than I thought it would be and does very well. The parental controls are so much easier to configure and being able to keep up with playtime with monthly reports is very nice for keeping an eye on screen time for the kids so they are stuck in front of a screen all the time. Great system to have for those long travel times when on the road.

The Best Nintendo Handheld?
Let's get down to buisness. Look: In my opinion it looks better than the original Switch, do not underestimate the gray, it is a great choice. The color contrast between the color of your choice and white is better than the joycon colors. Screen: For those nerds out there you will notice the higher pixel density, especially in games with more detail. Generally the screen is big enough for Fortnite, Pokemon Shield, and Zelda Breath of the Wild. I haven't played a game that felt unplayable yet. Controlls: Arguably it controls better than the original Switch, less clicky buttons and Nintendo's signature d-pad. Gyro controlls are still present, so aiming in Splatoon 2 and Zelda is the same as before. Feel: It feels far better than the original Switch for long play sessions, and it feels better in the hands. Battery life: Battery life is good, after a full charge I could play Minecraft at max simulation distance for 5 hours. But if you're going on the road yoh will need a battery bank. Notes: This is a handheld console only, you WILL NEVER be able to dock on a TV. There is also no rumble at all, although that'd be nice to have, you won't notice its abscence in-game. Lastly there is no IR sensor, and if you just asked yourself "what's and IR sensor" yoy won't care about it being gone. But because of the exclusion IR sensors Nintendo Labo and One Two Switch are unplayable. Advice: Don't buy One Two Switch, it will never be worth $60. Get a slim travel case, and a screen protector. If you are giving this to a child put AS MUCH PROTECTIVE CASING AS POSSIBLE.

Good system
If you are planning to only use handheld consoles like the DS, then this is the one for you. The fact it's a lot cheaper than the standard Switch is a great pro. I will say having had both the Switch Lite and Switch, I quickly wanted the ability to dock and play on TV, as the size can be somewhat uncomfortable for people like me with bigger hands. If this sounds like you, or you don't care as much about the whole "portable" concept and would rather use it docked more often than not, then I would recommend the regular Switch. From what I experienced, both models have no differences in performance, just that the buttons and Joycon's are built a little different on the Lite. I didn't really care for the ones on the Lite, and I experienced stick drift rather quickly. I guess the TLDR is if you enjoy traveling a lot and want a handheld for boredom, this is the right model. But if you have comfort issues with handhelds or don't travel as much, the regular model would be better for you, despite the $100 difference.

It didn't come in original switch lite box.
Is a quality switch lite. Only problem I have with it is that it came in a box and not the original nintendo lite box. The color was right, and seems to be as durable as you could expect from a handheld device.

Portable and Perfect Size
When I first tried using the original Switch I felt that it was too large in the hands and had a considerable weight to it which took away a lot from the handheld experience. Iโm happy to say that the Switch Lite fixes all of these issues thanks to its lighter and smaller overall footprint. Itโs a delight to play with and the battery life seems to be about as good as advertised. Iโm getting an estimated 3.5-4 hours with Linkโs Awakening which is a fairly demanding game. The screen is also extremely bright and looks absolutely beautiful. The colors are also a lot more muted than I had previously thought they would be. The Gray and the Turquoise both look very nice, though I like my gray one the most because of the nice contrast with the buttons. Speaking of the buttons, they feel extremely good. The buttons are more โmushyโ than the regular switch but feel very satisfying. The inclusion of the d-pad is also a welcome addition and it feels just amazing. Itโs definitely the best d-pad Iโve ever used. The d-pad has the just the right amount of tactile click and mushiness making it a dream to use. If you can forgive the lack of TV output, this is the best handheld gaming console there is and in my opinion the best Switch there is currently.

One of the best devices I've ever used.
I love the Nintendo Switch Lite. It's like a super Nintendo 3DS, but sadly lacking backwards compatibility, but I understand why they left it out. Would be hard to display 2 screens on the switch screen. My issues with the switch are with nintendo. They never discount their first party games (Not that I care as I only own 2 of them haha), their accessories are stupidly overpriced, and their obvious laziness in frame rates in switch games. How is it that Super Mario Odyssey gets 60fps but Fire Emblem Three Houses gets 30 fps? I love Three Houses but frame rate is important, even in a turn based rpg. If you're like me and you don't care much for games like animal crossing, ultimate, and mario odyssey, then you'll get more bang for your buck with this thing. It kinda shocks me how many people bought a switch just for animal crossing...like what? You spent $260 canadian dollars LET ALONE $400+ for a regular switch for ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZIONS? What the hell...anyway I've bought a lot of games for this thing. While I would like higher performance in most of them, I'm content with being able to play these games conveniently on the go. Sure, laptops exist and I have a good gaming laptop for on the go gaming, but a switch allows you to go into a game faster than a laptop. Not because a switch is faster than a gaming pc haha no but it starts at the games menu asap, which is nice. I give the switch a 9/10, but the value fluctuates. A lot of people have gotten ripped off by nintendo here. I haven't, since I've only bought 2 full priced games, those being Three Houses and Breath of the Wild. I'm content with spending a full $80 Canadian plus tax on these games because they've given me hundreds of hours of content, and I have yet to complete both of them. However, when it comes to animal crossing which is stardew valley but shitty framerate and not finished, no thanks. Smash ultimate looks fun but I prefer melee (better game sorry but objective). I know that I've given this thing a lot of ****, but I have lots of praise to give it too. Being able to play Resident Evil 4 on the bus is mind blowing for me. Sure, you could use a laptop but that's less convenient. Bigger machine that you need a mouse/controller for, instead of switch/switch lite where it's all in one small, convenient package. Really cool. I just hate nintendo lol Screw Sword and Shield. Overpriced garbage for hardly anything. Way too easy too never buying it.

Bigger than I thought. Great successor to a... PSP
Having never owned a single Nintendo console, I was attracted to the Lite in particular solely due to its form-factor: it fills the same niche that a PSP used to fill, and I absolutely adored that handheld as a kid. Having received it, I was blown away by its actual size. This thing is CHONKY, and I have no idea how people even use a normal, full-sized Switch in handheld mode - that'd probably be too much for me. I didn't get it for the Nintendo games (other than BOTW), and I appreciate the effort the game studios put into porting every recent PC hit ever to the Switch as thanks to that I can have about a half of my usual game library on a portable, standalone device (as opposed to, let's say, remote gaming from a phone with a controller hooked up to it) whenever I find myself away from home and having to wait for something. This is a great time killer, and a commuter's dream.
