We're a dog household. They sleep on their cushy, floor pallet at the base of our bed. And, in all the years of having big and, sometimes, messy dogs, this collar was a great bargain when I was looking for a weatherproof, reflective collar for our sweet, dirt connoisseur's black coat. Our rescue dog is a "dirt dog". She gets plenty of attention and exercise but really loves to wear our yard in her fur and, then, into our house. I've watched her roll and lumber about the grass and dirt for a FULL MINUTE before I just gave up. Some fights are foregone. So, she's been wearing this collar since seven months including the rainy, muddy ones.. Thank God for this easy to clean, breakaway collar. I included a picture to show how it wears dirt and was about to clean it for the umpteenth time. Let's be honest folks... dogs are so AWESOME that we're willing to deal with their dirty selves. Do yourself a favor and get this one. That dirt on it? It comes right off with soap and water or in the dishwasher top-rack with the heat-dry off or even just a disinfectant wipe so long as the residue is wiped clean. I have NO idea what she got into once. It left waxy, black streaks that were resistant to come off when I realized that a makeup removal wipe might work. Yep! Once our latest addition, a rescue GSD, is done with his training, I'll be ordering one for him since he has a black coat as well. They can't hide in the shadows with this collar!

With such a reasonable price & even better discount price, I got one for each of my 6 dogs and we are all happy with them.

These collars are great! I just ordered a second set for our two dogs after two years. They last forever (even with dogs tugging on each other's) and don't smell. Our dogs swim all summer long and they get wet and don't get that gross smell. Pro tip - the flat metal tags that don't jingle fit perfectly on these. Fold the collar in half and slide them on. I bought the tags on etsy.

I'm very happy with this collar for a several reasons: 1. It's waterproof. – I stopped using fabric collars because my dog LOVES water so her collar would get SO smelly after she jumped in a river or lake. 2. It's very lightweight – probably the lightest collar I've ever used. I bet my dog appreciates that! With this, it's wide enough to be durable but skinny enough to, again, barely add any weight to my dog's neck. 3. The color is nice. You know you buy collars for the color. ;) We got the Apricot Brandy Red for a female dog and I like that it's very neutral. (It's slightly more red than the pic makes it appear. A cross between red and orange.) I didn't want something overly girly. 4. The reflective strip is a great bonus. We haven't had the collar for very long but it seems sturdy and durable. (We bought the Medium for a dog with a 15" neck and it's perfect.)

Waterproof, but are very worn after two months of daily use. Coating on metal d ring wearing off already. Color stays on and is sturdy, but won’t buy again

Pros - collar didn’t smell after getting wet, was bright and flashy Cons - clasp was unsturdy and it came loose a couple times and ultimately we lost it while hiking in the bush.

The collar is a little thick for my 25 pound doodle but works.

The stitching quickly became loose and the reflective material wore off after minimal use.
