Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA, Omega-3 + Vitamin D3, Unflavored - 90 Count

These are the best prenatal DHA vitamins. Brain health is very important to me, so I took these when I was pregnant and breastfeeding both of my children. They were recommended in the book "It Starts with the Bump" as being a trustworthy brand of DHA vitamins quality-wise. The author explains how it has been questioned whether fish oil, which is apparently delicate, can oxidize and become ineffective. However, she explains that this brand of fish oil manufacturers them in a nitrogen-based environment to prevent oxidation. I found this to be so important because, in general, fish oil can be expensive. I want to know that the vitamins I buy will be effective and worth my hard-earned money. The dosage is two soft gel pills. I don't have any trouble swallowing them, but I'm typically okay swallowing pills to begin with. Outside of pregnancy, I rarely get the aftertaste. However, I did have an aftertaste a couple of times each week when I was pregnant. Although this isn't ideal, I feel like it's worth the infrequent discomfort to know that it's helping to build your baby's brain. My first baby is 3 now, and she's very advanced. She is well-spoken, good at reasoning, and learns new concepts quickly. My second is still an infant, but he's met all of his milestones on time, has been alert from a young age, and is very curious. I'm not sure if this can 100% be attributed to the vitamins, but I truly believe that they've helped make my babies brains healthy. They are 100% worth the cost.

I started taking this at 32 weeks as an addition to my prenatal, and I’ve really liked it so far. The capsules are easy to swallow and I don’t get that strong fishy taste that some omega 3 supplements have. It gives me peace of mind knowing I’m supporting my baby’s brain development, especially in these last weeks. I also like that it feels clean and doesn’t upset my stomach. Overall, a great and simple addition to my pregnancy routine.

No taste, easy to swallow, and no upset stomach.

I have tried multiple prenatals that were not working for me. My biggest concern is having prenatals that don’t have that dreaded fish after taste which so many claim they don’t but in fact they do or an awful cover up smell. I bought these with little hopes since I have been through at least four different brands at this point and these are finally it!! No smell. No fish tastes. Easy for me to get down (yes they are big pills but all prenatals are) I was so amazed I wanted to cry! Pregnancy is hard enough and prenatals shouldn’t be added to that list. Finally I found ones that work for me!

A good prenatal, it was approved my by OB. The only downside I had was having to take 2 capsules but otherwise good!

Wow! love these. I tried ritual and another DHA/EPA supplement and they both gave me horrible fish burps which are disgusting at anytime in your life but especially when you are pregnant. I take these at dinner and haven't had any weird burps. Pills are super easy to swallow and don't taste or smell like anything. I do suggest putting in your fridge as soon as you open and keeping them in the fridge. I am switching to another company post partum that is liquid because it has higher EPA & DHA and I want to be taking a specific amount after birth. But really happy with these while pregnant because they are so easy and no smell/taste.
