Very good - but don't expect miracles!
The Telecam TCE2000 TV aerial is a clever British design which will work well - in the right circumstances! It is a small indoor aerial which cannot conjure up a TV signal if placed in a position where there is not one present. What it will do is maximise whatever signal it receives; the silver elements are encased in clear plastic so they can't bend out of shape like some cheap aerials do, and the log-periodic design gives good gain over the full TV band. The aerial is easy to assemble and can be used either vertically or horizontally depending on the polarisation of your transmitter - it is usually only local relays that require the aerial to be flipped down. The TCE2000 works well for me upstairs in a medium to poor reception area - but bear in mind that good Freeview reception often requires an outdoor or loft aerial to access all channels. This is especially the case if you transmitter has not yet had its analogue service switched off and your digital services are still running on low power. If you are near your transmitter or have already been "switched over" to digital then this little aerial from Telecam could give you good reception of Freeview. For performance at the price this aerial deserves five stars - BUT it will not work for everyone and don't expect too much from it!

This unit is basically ok.
Use it with my 40`` samsung tv in downstairs living room. Put the aerial near the window, further lift it up by several books and toy boxes. It then can pick up dozens of channels. Works well under good weather conditions when the signals are strong. However under bad weather conditions with rains or heavy clouds, the pictures on the tv freeze ...After ten months' use, it was accidentally broken when falling to the ground. Sadly, I cannot return it asking for a replacement or refund. Although it still works as before, I give it up and buy a freesat box to receive the signals from the satellite left my landlord before I moving into. This unit is basically ok. But an outdoor aerial or satellite give you much better experience.

Not really worth one star
I live in an area officially classified as a "good" signal area for Freeview. My present aerial, a "One For all" with built-in booster, is generally ok but subject to break-up in certain weather conditions. I was looking for something a bit better. The good reviews persuaded me to buy but, the day it arrived, I activated the returns procedure and it was on its way back for a refund. In my location it was, frankly, useless even though it was on a window sill on the transmitter side of the house and I had a booster connected. I'm about 25 miles from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter. If your location/installation is anything like mine then my advice is don't buy.One thing I would praise is the Amazon returns process. It is excellent and gives one the confidence to deal with Amazon.

Excellent directional antenna
We live about 25 miles from the main TV transmitter, and can get away with indoor antennae. This one works perfectly. It is highly directional, so giving a good boost if you point the thing at the transmitter (point the small end of the top part towards the transmitter). You really need to show a signal strength meter on your TV to ensure you have the best position, then re-run the channel scan to make sure you have all the channels.Highly recommended, but remember if you have the antenna pointing the wrong way you will get no signal, and don't bother with a boosted one - boosters are only for long cable runs and you definitely don't have a long run here.If you live in a poor reception area, or your building blocks the TV signal on the inside, then don't bother with any indoor antenna. Just spend the money and get a pro to install a proper antenna on the roof.

TELECAM TCE2000 Disappointing
I bought this product after looking at the reviews and ratings of other buyers, in order to improve on what I had as an indoor aerial, which I thought not to be performing as well it should, since the digital change over.Unfortunately I found the TELECAM TCE2000 did not come close to the tiny "One for All" aerial that I was already using. The TELECAM TCE2000 identified only 84 channels, set against the 115 of the "One for All", and reception with TELECAM TCE2000 of the channels it did find was so bad that I've binned it and reinstated my original "One for All". Whilst this little areial is not perfect with a little break up of reception from time to time, it is proving far better in my area than the TELECAM TCE2000 and actually seems to improve with the length of viewing time.
