I typically hate mouthwash, I would avoid using most because I hated the burning feeling while swishing for a full minute. After a not so great dental check up, I was recommended to try Closys. I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried this, absolutely no burning and a light flavor. It was so gentle that I didn't think it was doing much of anything til I realized after a week of using it I didn't have the plaque buildup I usually have with just brushing alone. My gums were also looking healthier and less inflamed. I also like that I only have to swish the mouthwash for 30-45 seconds instead of a full minute (yes, for some reason the 15-30 seconds makes a difference lol). The only thing I'm not crazy about is how it makes anything I eat afterwards for the next few hours have a weird taste but otherwise this is a great mouthwash and my mouth has never felt cleaner.

CloSYS 32-ounce mouthwash is excellent for keeping breath fresh without irritation. It’s gentle on teeth and gums while effectively reducing bacteria and maintaining oral hygiene. The fresh taste is mild and pleasant, not overpowering like some strong mouthwashes. This was recommended by my dental hygienist. It is supposed to tighten gums, which is an ok product, but the taste is horrible.

My dentist recommends this! I use it daily and love that it’s alcohol-free without that burning sensation in my mouth. This is the best mouthwash in my book and lasts quite a while.

I used this mouthwash as from a online review reading it falling into one of the categories (not the best but one of the few runner ups) of natural mouthwashes/no fluoride ones/least amount of ingredients it had. The mouthwash will say, first off, it does have a bit of a horrible smell when opened in the cap or top of the bottle. Like smelling as if your in the dentist place smell or of old toothbrush smell/left over tooth brush that hasn’t been washed with water or when you pick your teeth with fingernails and notice the nasty smell. Or as if when it’s time to brush the teeth. Did notice doesn’t have much ingredients; so kudos for this looking for a mouthwash that isn’t damaging or dangerous whatsoever. Although looking it in the reversible way, may be not as strong in keeping teeth in top shape to get areas that brushing may not get and maybe even in flossing/water-flossing. After using it like 1/3 or half way of the bottle did notice my breath (or no breath hehehe) or feel of the tongue as having no breath or taste whatsoever that may indicate bad breath. So this is a good/great to an okay/fine mouthwash to use. In how it overall does help in breath control and keepin’ it in top shape in that area, along with not having sensitivity or waking up with a dry month/tongue which is great (noticed if from this mouthwash unlike some others). Although it may not support in teeth strength in the enamel or cavities areas as much as in other mouthwashes. Then again may not be needed as proper brushing and flossing of any type is great, if not the best, if done daily at least once a day (night). Along with bad breath if proper tongue “brushing” is used to get the white gunk/germs out from digesting food particles in mouth/tongue mainly. So may try this again sometime later after trying another again. Value is good in a big bottle 32 ounces lasts a while; but may be only for people with bad breath/only focus or target in breath areas of the mouth maintenance. With how it may not be a good value as only is for breath control. In how it may not be good or overlooked for other mouthwashes for a stronger defense or offensive whatever you may called it. All depends on what someone is lookin’ for in a mouthwash. One last small thing I did notice; in how this mouthwash is *ADA* certified ONLY for BAD BREATH tho, but does fully work in that areas. In no wander they got a seal of appeal from the American Dental Association. Mentioning for those that may care about small details.

My hygienist recommended this mouthwash and I am wishing I'd found it sooner. I have mild gum disease and have lost a few teeth due to my struggle with bad genetics and my anxiety about dentists. My dental hygiene habits suffered over the years as a result. The harsh mouthwashes like Listerine and some of the others were burning my mouth and when I'd use it at night they'd make the skin around my mouth break out and the corners of my lips were cracking. I just never felt like they really got my mouth as clean because by morning I'd have even worse breath and felt like I'd been chewing on batteries all night. So, I did not use mouth wash as frequently as I should have and you can guess the rest of it. Did you know brushing only cleans about a quarter of your mouth?? I have 4 crowns in my mouth and it can be a real pain to really feel like I've gotten in there and handled business. CloSYS makes my mouth feel cleaner, for longer. I am not seeing the tartar and plaque build-up creep up as quickly and when I use this religiously at night and in the morning I rarely experience the bad breath I did using Listerine. YES, it does have a slight chlorine-odor/taste to it but once it gets in your mouth and you're swishing it around, it diminishes right away. It feels like cool water with a hint of mint. That taste does not linger. I felt like I'd just gently rinsed with water, only my mouth was SO clean and stayed clean for hours. It may not cure cavities as some of the other reviews on here are saying but it will definitely put a big dent in the amount of bacteria and build-up forming in your mouth. There is a more mild version than this (but I doubt you'll need it) and the senior version which I bought for my parents (and they love!). Long story short-- if you hate mouthwash and avoid it, try this instead. It is so gentle and works so much better.
