Easy to thread onto other pipe without any leakage. But the valve itself leaks badly. I used it at the end of a fire hose hookup with a cap on it so the leak was stopped by the cap. So not really a problem for my setup but would not work for a situation where you would need to depend on the valve for complete shut off of water. I think the valve I received was possibly just a rare defective valve but like I said, it worked for my situation. Edit: I'm now giving this valve 5 stars. I removed the handle and rotated the valve several times. There must have been something caught up in the valve. I did not flush the line to clear any debris that may have been in the line as suggested in installation instructions. My fault for being in a hurry. The valve works perfectly!

I was tired of replacing PVC and brass valves on the ranch. These are holding up sooo much better.

I bought seven of those ball valves to construct an additional home well-water filtering system in my basement. All 6 of those installed were leaking. The well-water tank has the water pressure around 50 psi, and I believe that the leaking could be caused by the non-standardized threads of the female fittings in the ball valves. When I was connecting the values with Steel-to-CPVC adapters, I found that the male threads of the adapters were hard to reach more than 2-quarters depth of the female fittings in the valves. I am not the professional plumber and at the time thought that combining the tape and the thread sealant, it could be able to mitigate the issue of the non-standardized threads but eventually it won't be able to help stop the leak. I had to cut off the pipes and use the CPVC ball valves instead. Before cutting those off from the system, I tried several ways to mitigate the leaks by wrapping tapes around the thread fittings, applying PVC cement upon the tape, and also epoxy paste but all failed to stop the leaking - a complete waste of time and money!

Good quality

Good quality ball valve is easy to install and easy to operate. I use this to control the flow to my sprinklers in my garden. The lever makes it easy to tell from a distance if it is open or shut. The action is smooth and positive. I does not leak under normal pressure at the garden which is about 45 psi.

These valves are a great value! The threads are nicely cut and worked great in my application. Not sure if the tapper is standard but I would recommend any product from this seller as I have bought a half a dozen valves of different sizes and all are fine. This is a good seller!!
