The items in the box is as described by the seller. It looks well built, the buttons respond well and feels solid when pressed. The remote looks cheap but does the job. The DAC function well with a clean audio output. For the money, it’s brilliant for what it does. I recommend it for anyone that’s interested.

I am NOT an audiophile (although I would love to have the time and finances to become one!) but this unit solidly performs and provides a simple and compact way to connect the optic output from my PC through to my tube pre-amp. Very good price and does what it should do without any issues. As mentioned, I am not an audiophile so my 5* for sound quality should be taken with a pinch of salt, but it does sound clear, rich and distortion free to my aging eardrums!

I'm sensitive to the delay experienced with Bluetooth headphones and was fed up with viewing the TV with video to voice not synchronised but my TV headphone socket was used for soundbar style speakers. My option was to use the optical output and for that I needed an optical to audio (headphone) adaptor. For the small extra cost of having the extra optical inputs I opted for the 3 input optical plus a 4th for the A, audio, feed phono option. Powered by USB cable which was handy as my satellite box had a USB socket available to use. All works well, either using the remote or buttons on the adaptor. My only gripe, which I've noted on other digital volume controls, is the lack of precision at low volumes. It jumps from off, one click is low volume next click increases volume two fold and I'd prefer better resolution at the low volumes. A workaround is to insert a potentiometer (in line volume control) and adjust to suit but this limits maximum volume. A compromise hence I can't give the full 5 stars for this.

Smaller than expected but works really well. Sounds very good and no noises when switching on or off with connected amp turned on. Remote control a little weak but does work OK.

I had a different model of optical audio converter, it worked well, but it could only connect to single device. This product is a real quality upgrade, it can be connected to three devices & also comes with a remote control. Quality product, quality sound, easy setup & easy to use.

I got this so I can now listen to anything from my TV on my FAB Technics amp and speakers which gives out he base I was missing with the TV and saves me having to fork out another £200 for a sound bar for now. My TV is a Samsung Smart 7400 TV bought December 2019 and the unknown is will I need to go through the menus on my TV as seen in various vids I watched before hand to make it all work. The best news is no I didn't have to do anything. I just plugged in all the necessary leads and I have both the stereo and TV speakers all operating at once which is exactly what I wanted. Full control. The remote isn't really needed I thing as I will use the other devices remotes. Volume is perfect and normal as in no power lost through it. For what is a few quid this has made my day. All sounded up and ready to rock, sorry neighbours

Per alcuni usi (dolby e codifiche varie con impianti surround) non è dedicato, ma questo sarebbe un di più per un oggetto che costa 20 euro. Voglio dire, per quello che offre, tre ingressi ottici, uno coassiale e cuffia e controllo di volume, per il prezzo che costa, è straordinario. Per chi lo usa su un televisore con uscita ottica o coassiale ed eventualmente collegato ad un impianto stereo, è una manna dal cielo. Non solo, per che chi vuole ascoltare solo musica su un impianto stereo (attraverso sorgenti con uscite digitali,, penso alle radio web, ai cd/dvd player, ai televisori smart, etc etc.) il grandissimo vantaggio è quello di poter adattare amplificatori o preamplificatori, anche di pregio, non dotati di telecomando, e rendere il tutto telecomandabile, e non è una cosa banale, sempre questo prezzo. In più ha un convertitore interno 24/192 che non sarà raffinatissimo ma che consente di mantenere un'ottima qualità audio anche su impianti di un certo livello. Giuste le critiche sul volume cuffia e sul controllo volume non lineare ma a step, ma a questo prezzo, con queste caratteristiche si trova poco o nulla. In più è silenziossimo sia nel funzionamento continuo che nei cambi sorgente. Insomma un oggetto da possedere, a prescindere!

Buscaba justo eso, tener más de una entrada de fibra de sonido y disponer de salida analógica para conectarlo a mi viejo amplificador. Para mi ha sido la solución a nuevos equipos que ya no tienen salidas RCA como un Blu-ray o una TV, en mi caso los dos de Samsung, que han funcionado directamente con solo conectar la salida óptica al convertidor y su salida analógica RCA a un amplificador viejo que tengo y que suena tan bien, que no lo quiero sustituir. Por cierto, también por otros comentarios, no todas las entradas de audio de un amplificador van a valerte, si es antiguo, una entrada Phone o incluso una de tuner pueden no funcionarte porque las impedancias son diferentes y eso hará que suene muuuuuy bajo pero no es culpa del conversor, sino de que uses la entrada adecuada, en mi caso, la entrada tape. Y otro tema es el retardo que es casi imperceptible pero existe, como no puede ser de otra manera porque hay un procesado de señal en el conversor y a menos que sea teórico, retardo existirá, da igual lo que te gastes en él. Lo normal es que si lo usas, bajes el audio de la TV al 0 y disfrutes del audio por el amplificador externo, pero no por los dos a la vez porque tendrás un cierto eco inevitable. Todo lo dicho, el retardo es muy bajo. Por cierto, la parte de 3,5mm para cascos va bien también y da potencia para unos cascos normales no alimentados, el volumen es más que suficiente y también afecta a la salida RCA.

I had this same unit (a few years older) for a few years now but it stopped working so I ordered a new one, this one and it does the same thing as the old one. Highly recommend if you need to convert a digital audio output into analog format.
