Sillbird 12-in-1 Solar Robot Building Kit STEM Gift for Boys Ages 8-13

It was sent to my grandson for his birthday so I never actually saw it but I was told he loved it.

Grandson's birthday gift. He seemed to love it. I haven't seen it put together and working but I'll ask him and if anything changes, I'll update my review.

Need strong sunlight directly on solar panel to operate the robot.. it doesn't work in shadow or internal lights in house.

Grandson loves it

Our grandson was so excited to build and use this robot kit, so this was disappointing. The robot works in battery mode, which confirms the motor and gearbox are functioning properly. However, the solar mode never worked. We spent 3 days troubleshooting: • Made sure the protective film is removed • tested outdoors in direct midday sunlight, • faced the solar panel directly toward the sun • inspected the panel for visible cracks or damage. Despite all of that, the robot still would not run on solar power. Unfortunately, we have to conclude that the solar component is faulty.

Really a mind blowing craft toy for children above 9y. It uses solar energy power for the motor that inspire children to use alternate energy sources.Each of the 12 models generate creative technical minds for children and expose them to the robotic technology to reduce human effort.

A lot of fun for a birthday present that he enjoyed building.

The idea behind this is great, but the quality is not great. The gears don't fit well together, which means it doesn't always work. A lot of slack in the parts means it doesn't really fit well together.

Probably a good entry for building like Lego and robot science project

Got this for our grandson who was 9 at time, he absolutely loves it. Needed a tiny bit of help at first but finished it off on his own. And he’s proud of himself for that! I recommend it for people who’s kids like to build!!
