My mortise lock would bot work anymore on my 120 year old door. This device is perfect. I spray painted the original stainless steel color with an oil rubbed bronze color. Much less expensive than buying one that color! I was able to install a new doorknob and decided to go high tech with a keypad. Love it! It’s a “Must Have” for these old doors with old locks.

This Saved me from needing to purchase a new side door to my garage. My original side door to my garage was pretty beat up and weathered. A new deadbolt did not fit well in the existing mounting spot. The masonite front and rear of the door construction is a bit flimsy. This metal. placed over the side of the door this allowed me to mount the deadbolt securely. The deadbolt works smoothly and appears a bit stronger than when mounted only on the masonite door facing..

Exactly what we needed to fix the door

I installed on metal clad door that had been beat up in a break-in. It fits bolt but you have to trim door, door bolt inlet and trim door lock hole in the door to fit this device. Not a quick fix but if you are careful to trim everything correctly it makes a very strong door.

I had an incident where an ex roommate broke into my home by having a friend kick in my door. The door was fractured and hard to close. I got this product to make the door whole again. Now it looks great and will be very secure in the future. It was easy to install. Make sure you get the correct size for your door. My door is an odd size so I accidentally ordered the wrong one the first time.

We had a large wood gate custom made for our backyard & unfortunately, the carpenter made a mistake so he had to adjust the hole he cut out for the deadbolt lock we wanted installed on it. That left our new beautiful gate looking less than terrific. I purchased this & we painted it to match the gate. It looks great & solved our problem while also giving some added security/strength to the lock area. Definitely very happy with this & do recommend it.

Fixed the problem

We had a interior door that somehow got locked and would not unlock no matter what, so the door handle/lock had to be cut out of the door to get into the room - destroying that part of the door. This reinforcing plate perfectly fit and fixed the problem - and was easy to install. Very satisfied.

I used this to replace an old dual lockset with a new one. Fit perfectly and worked well. Good quality product. Very happy.

Great product as I have a full length one too that covers both the deadbolt & door handle for added security. I needed another one just for covering a deadbolt on another door as it is a handle set so full length Guard wouldn't work. I unfortunately didn't pay attention to the width of the door as I thought they were all standard sizes and as it turned out this one didn't fit. But since I already opened the package I'll just keep it and order the proper size as this one is already out of package and cannot be resold. Message to anyone reading this ... measure the width of the door!! But it is a great product overall and looks good too. Main thing is it's added security. That's always a good thing.
