Addis Griddle (Mitad/Mogogo) –16 inch Digital Electric Griddle for Injera, Lefse, Pancake – Even Heat Distribution

This griddle is AMAAAAZING! I have learned (self taught) over the last five years how to make lefse (Norwegian potato flat bread). As a beginner, I started out with the lefse griddle set that comes up first when searching on Amazon and online which has a single ring for the heating element. I kind of felt that my old griddle wasn't cutting it anymore (probably never did) so I looked for a new one. The design of the ADDIS griddle with three heat rings cut my cooking time IN HALF and created the perfect and even bits of browning that are a hallmark of good lefse! There were no hot spots and the lefse cooked so evenly! I ordered this thinking it would be here around the 14th, but it came early and as luck would have it I had a batch of lefse ready to cook for the holidays. It has a sturdy design, assembled in mere minutes, there was an included screw driver with a magnetized tip (!), I was cooking within 20 minutes. I blew through 70 pieces in a little more than 90 minutes and had NO FAILED PIECES. Some of the other impressive features are the fact that the prong is grounded (three prong), the probe is digital with auto shut off, it heats super fast and evenly, returns to temperature almost instantaneously between pieces. And I had a personal note from Samuel who said, "Thank you for purchasing our product. Your support and trust in us is much appreciated. If there's any issue with your order, please call/text me at XXX-XXX-XXXX, thank you Samuel." I sent a quick text and he answered! It was a very nice touchpoint in the buying experience. If you're thinking of getting a griddle for lefse, GET THIS ONE.

Its very nice I am very satisfied and I recommended to for two friends they likes it almost one year on June since I order it.

Update 1 Year Later: This griddle quickly became the favored appliance in our kitchen. In addition to injera (which is somehow always perfect) we now use it for pancakes, as it solves the problem of our other skillets that are too small to cook more than 2 at a time. When I tell my spouse that this griddle is my prized possession, I am not even kidding. But the real reason for this update is to relay our recent, surprisingly exceptional experience with the seller: After a year of heavy use we found that the electric cord attachment was malfunctioning. I sent the seller a message through Amazon and got a reply in *minutes* asking me to text a picture of the cord. After trying to help us trouble shoot, Samuel then offered to FedEx us a new cord, free of charge. I didn't even have to ask. I was shocked at how responsive and considerate the customer service was. Samuel even went so far as to tell us, "If there’s any issue, let me know. You’re covered for 5 years." WOW! We just got the replacement 5 days after the problem first occurred and Samuel even checked in to make sure we received it and that it worked (it does!). I really can't say enough about this seller, let alone this griddle. I do a lot (too much?) of research on products before I buy them. Trust me when I tell you that you can stop looking for that perfect griddle. BUY THIS ONE! This griddle is wonderful. We moved to a city that is an hour away from the closest Ethiopian restaurant and were getting tired of the drive, so we decided to invest in a griddle so we could make our own injera. We did a lot of research on heritage griddles and other cookware, but making injera was our main objective so we went with this. I’m so glad we did! The griddle makes perfect injera. It’s easy to use, the lid fits perfectly, and it’s easy to clean. On top of the quality, the customer service we received was outstanding. I really can’t recommend this griddle enough.

I’ve been using it for few months so far so good. If you’re thinking about getting it get it you won’t be disappointed.

This is by far the worst mitad I’ve ever had. I tried adjusting the heat within all the recommended settings. It still sticks with every attempt a the injera comes out two-faced. It does well with ambasha but save your money. Their customer support line is the worst. They’re not reachable at all. I ended up ordering from a different maker and I’m super happy with them.
