DlGITEN Wrench for 10" inch Reverse Osmosis Water Filter Canister Housing, Suitable for 10-inches-High RO Filter Housing (Wrench NOT 10" inch)

I have an APEC 5-stage RO water filter system under the sink, for 3 years now. For some inexplicable reason, APEC includes a half-wrench, instead of a full wrench, for you to "open" and "close" the filter casings (see picture with the half-wrench on the left, this product on the right). My first impression was Oh boy, how is this going to work?, but then, after the first year, somehow I managed to change the filters using that thing. This year, I couldn't get close to believe that I was getting close to start opening any of them! I would like to meet the “engineer “ that said “Sure, that works just fine! We’ll save $0.05 in plastic by leaving only half wrench!” It might have helped that a year ago, it was changed by professional plumbers, and it seems they didn't want anyone to ever open them again, not even them. The half wrench kept slipping every single time, not even a little torque was applied and it was almost instantly off. And then I searched and among several choices, I picked this. It was an instant game changer. The thing opened each of the casings at the first try. It also tightened them up without slipping or skipping. The size is slightly bigger (see pictures), but it definitely works with the APEC RO system. Pretty simple, pretty cheap and pretty good. It makes the half-wrench fiasco even more mind blowing. Highly recommended.

It worked okay, but felt a bit flimsy in use. I was afraid I would break it by applying too much pressure. In retrospect, perhaps something a little more sturdy would have been less worrisome. But, it did do the job.

I like the quality of this product. Nice, sturdy and useful.

Does not fit as securely as I would like, but it gets the job done. Make sure you release the pressure in your system to make it as easy as possible to get the housings loosened - for me, that made all the difference - the wrench flexed and was unable to loosen the housings when the system was still pressurized. A quick google search turned up the tip to make sure you open a downstream faucet to relieve pressure if the housings seem stuck.

It only goes about halfway up my 10" filter holder. Also the handle is a tad short as well, I would've liked some more leverage. But it does the job.

Ordered this wrench to help change the filters in our RO system. Worked great.

The one that came with the unit got old and snapped. Ordered these undone it not problem and it was vey tight!
