pecute Cat Backpack Expandable, Cat Carrier Backpack with Acrylic Window

We bought one of those little bubble window hard plastic backpack carriers for our cat years ago and it got used to take her to the vet and that's it. Total pain to transport with the weird shape and you couldn't store the thing anywhere thanks to the structure of it. We had a trip coming up and decided we needed a new way to carry both of our cats and purchased two of these. Absolutely outstanding quality. Love how it's completely collapsible to the point you could store it in a drawer or the corner of your closet, but we honestly barely collapse it at all because the cats love to jump in and live in it for a while with the back pulled out. You really can't ask much more for a cat carrier than the cat to be delighted to be in it. The mesh is strong and has stood up to a little bit of biting and scratching, but generally we have tried to be sure the cats don't do that, anyway. The straps are comfortable when carrying the cats around. With the expandable back collapsed, it works great sitting sideways as a more traditional carrier, as well. Sits up nicely in the car on roadtrips and acts as a very nice safe space compartment to ride in. The fact that it doubles as a little living space while at your destination is a huge bonus. Well worth every penny! If there had been some way that it could expand even more or that you could connect two of them to be able to get a small litter box into it and have an even larger enclosure, it would be literally perfect.

I love this, absolutely amazing product. The bottom board makes a perfect floor for my cat so he can comfortably stand or lay down without sinking and is easy to remove for cleaning. It's stable, bulky, but comfortable for both me and him. All the zippers work nicely, and every opening has two, one normal and one with a clip which I assume is used to help keep it sealed if your furry friend likes to paw zippers open. Perfect amount and size of pockets, I can easily fit a water bottle on one side as well as poop bags ready for use, and on the other side I have over 20 churu treats, calming spray, a cat leash and an extra roll of poo bags with more space to spare. The extendable back is easy to set up and perfect for my 12lb cat to stretch out and relax while we sit around. The safety leash is adjustable and has worked great for us. He has room to move around and turn as needed and doesn't get tangled up in it. The warning said there might be a weird smell but I didn't notice anything odd sent wise. Smelled like plastic, like most new and freshly opened items. I only wish there were D rings on the arm straps so I could clip on our first aid bag and water bowl onto them. Overall, well worth the purchase.

My husband and I are traveling more and taking longer trips. We got this for our 16 year old 7.5lb cat who is a 100% an inside cat and requires medication everyday. We have a smaller carrier we use for her vet visits that restricts her movements a lot. So I hunted around for several days and finally landed on this one. I was a bit hesitant on it because of the price but man I’m so glad I did. Pros: It’s actually really sturdy and does not sag when in the backpack form. It’s fairly comfortable even with my janky back (scoliosis). The fold out was a little smaller than I thought it would be but that’s okay. The mesh is fairly strong and the wires used to fold and unfold the mesh are very strong/stiff. It has a poop bag holder a name/luggage tag slot and two fairly decent pockets. Each zipper into the cat area has a safety clip so they can’t push it open. The boards that lay at the bottom have covers on them you can remove. I can actually buckle it in! Which is a major plus!! Minor cons: I think the plastic windows restrict a lot of airflow. That being said they do add to the frame of the bag. My cat is always a little nervous with everything so I don’t think the mesh would have worked for us. The plastic is a little annoying but I used a razor blade to cut along the circles lightly and along the edges lightly. Came right off after that. I had done what others suggested on here and set it out for my cat to investigate. She got inside it some and then we decided to take her in a drive. It was really easy to put her in the backpack but she kind of panicked about it first. Then we set it in the car unfolded the back and she ended up enjoying the ride. She liked all the places she could see out although she wasn’t super confident with the extended part. However when we folded it back up and I walked around with her inside the backpack after our ride she really enjoyed looking outside at all the stuff. Overall it’s worth the buy and I’m super happy with it.

The zipper on the mesh portion of my backpack seems a little sticky and I am worried about it giving out over time, but otherwise this has been a great backpack. I use it every time we go to the vet, which is often with a kitten. I also took her hiking and while she much prefers to be in the ground and walking around with us, the backpack was a really great way to have her contained and safe without lugging around a carrier. I also really liked this backpack over the odd, plastic ball ones because even though they look cool, the animal doesn't really get the opportunity to hide or feel safe. Plus some of the ventilation on those looked questionable. The ventilation on this bag is great and I throw a towel in the bottom for added comfort and in case there are any accidents. Works great and the side pockets hold a good amount of supplies, too.

I bought this to take my cat for walks/hikes with me. She LOVES it! I left it open and fully expanded on the floor so she would get comfortable with it before taking her outside in the backpack, and she likes to lounge in the expanded part mostly. Durability: The bag is well-made all around. I let my 4 month old kitten play with the bag as rough as she wants to (and she gives it all she has). I wanted to see if she could tear it because I'd rather her do it in the safety of our home than in the woods somewhere. It's been about a month now, and I haven't noticed any tears in the mesh or elsewhere. Comfort: Very comfortable to pull over my shoulders and haul around. If you're going for a long walk, I recommend using the belt around the waist to support your lower back. I must note that, although it doesn't affect me, I think the waistband is a little short for those with a wide waist. Overall, it has been a VERY positive experience for me and kitty, and I'm so happy I bought it. UPDATE MAR 23, 2021: This has to be one of the best purchases I've made for my cat. She loves it. She still lounges in it when I leave it out - with or without the back extension popped out. Most importantly, I've haven't had any issues with the zippers, clips, stitching, or anything - not even the mesh. Honestly, the fact that there are no tears in the mesh really surprises me because when I have it all folded up, I noticed that she claws at it. She's not declawed, and although I trim her nails, I don't do it as regular as I should. The only problem I've come across, which is why I'm here, is that she has DESTROYED the bottom insert. I take full responsibility for that on behalf of my rambunctious cat. She was often biting and clawing at it, and it has taken its toll. Now I'm looking for another... bottom insert, not cat. I've been using the carrier without the bottom insert, which surprisingly still works. She's about 10-12 lbs/4.5 - 5.5 kgs, and the bottom of the carrier sags just a little, but not significantly. Don't know how it would hold up if she were heavier though. I still highly recommend this carrier backpack. LAST UPDATE JUL 15,2022 Reached out to the company about the bottom insert, and they replaced it no questions asked. The backpack is still my cat’s haven, mesh is still intact, and everything functions without issue. LOVE IT!!

This backpack was extremely well-made and clearly designed by a cat lover. I've used it about 5 separate times now and my cat loves it. I love all the mesh so that my cat can see out multiple angles. It's also very sturdy and my cat doesn't bounce around much while I'm walking. She hopped in it right away and likes exploring it when it's inside the house. It's comfortable on my shoulders and I appreciate the chest and waist straps for extra support. I love that I can expand the pack for more room for my kitty when we stop somewhere. I started by getting my indoor cat used to quick trips to the backyard for a few minutes, and now we've graduated to walks in the neighborhood. My goal is to take my cat on short, easy trails with me, or to the nearby park.

Whether your cat will like it is subjective, but objectively this pack is made so well. We have a 1 y/o Siberian kitty who sits comfortably in here for walks and bike rides. Our favorite features are the easy pop-out extension and the collar clip attached to the base of the bag, we can leave the top all the way open sometimes and while our kitty attempted jumping out the first few times, the cord didn't allow him to get all the way out most of the time. If your cooped up and want to take your cat to the park, this is ideal! Warnings: if you have an indoor cat they get hot easily during warm months. Our kitty panted more often the first few walks outdoors and so bring them some water and a small dish! Also, put the carrier in a shaded area, and attach a leash if you want them to have the freedom to walk over into the sun and hang out. Also, the more tight and flush you wear the straps the easier the load is on your back or front. We found that minimal to no space in between our body and the pack (quite tight) leads to easiest and comfiest carrying. Really glad we made this investment and so is Auggie. Hope this is helpful for anyone on the fence, especially if you are like us and try not to give in to random unnecessary luxury buys just for the sake of buying. This was definitely more of a want than a need, but worthwhile investment made of quality material.

Update 11/11/2021: Air travel! We took this bag onto United without any problems about the size - I had measured and found we were about 3” oversize so I brought a smaller spare which I never needed. Take a look at the photos - aisle on our particular plane configuration (did not seem to matter whether middle- or side-section as long as you have an aisle seat) was a much better fit than the window seat because of the bulky power outlet being in the way. We suffered a scratch during our attempt to fit under that outlet and ultimately needed to turn the bag sideways. No other issues, was a great bag for air travel now that we know which seat to book! —— I got this for my 13lb cat to replace a bag which was a bit too small. My one gripe is that I would prefer they take the protective plastic off the clear panels before sewing them on. It was a hellish experience trying to make it look nice and neat. Or could they at least peel the edges up so the plastic is still protected during shipping? That was the least fun hour spent in recent memory. It also has a bit of a smell at first, but I’ve had the same thing with other cat carrier bags as well. Otherwise, my cat loves this bag. It seems big enough for him, and he took to it immediately and happily sat in it for hours when it first arrived even though he was free to leave at any time. I chose this one specifically because of the clear panels, expandable section and the fact that you can open the top flap so he can look out at the world. It also has the security leash attached near the bottom, which I noted (from reviews of other products) was the ideal location to prevent bad things from happening if a jump is attempted. The only disadvantage to this style of bag is that it can be unstable for your passenger whilst walking if he wants to poke his head out the flap since he needs to sit up. I imagine this is the same problem with other cat backpacks though, but this bag is so spacious that it might be emphasized. Careful putting it on too! Kitty has lots of room to accidentally slide around. I recommend having someone help you lift it up (kinda like when someone helps you put a coat on) or put the bag on a chair first and slip it on like that. Size-wise, this was just right for my 13lb cat. It was spacious when he sat up, but only just big enough if he curled up to lie down (unexpanded). This product is exactly as shown, cat happy, human happy. And lots of compliments!

I am using the backpack to carry my poodle as well as extending the annex for her to sleep in. We love it!

So handy! It’s so well designed and really sturdy , my cat loves it , feels safe in it and I can even fit a blanked in there with him so he’s all snug ! He wears a collar so the attachment inside the carrier is so good cos he can’t jump out . The pockets are big enough to fit a small car bowl , treats , his lead , my phone and a water bottle and more if you’d like . It’s great space and very soft and comfortable ! Defo buy - I go the grey and green XL Acrylic with mesh at the top and back and my tabby cat is 4KG , even if he gains weight or gets bigger it’ll still fit him ! Great product :)

The backpack came nicely packed. Used it for the first time today that kitty got to go to the park. Both human and kitty are satisfied.

Me hubiera gustado enviar foto pero no sé por qué no me permite. Esperé para comentar porque lo quería probar antes de calificarlo. Lo compré hace mas o menos 2 meses. Un tranportin de calidad! Muy bien hecho y con perfectas terminaciones. Vale el precio!!! A mi gato LE ENCANTA!!! es un gato grande de 7 kilos y soporta su peso perfectamente. Mi gato cabe muy bien y cuando se extiende la parte de atrás es la felicidad para él. Lo compré porque viajaré con él en cabina, de España a Colombia con escala en México, asi que por lo largo de viaje, necesitaba que fuera un transportín MUY CÓMODO tanto para él como para mi. Trae bolsillos laterales para el agua y otras cosas. Cremalleras de seguridad para que tu mascota no las abra. Trae para ajustarte el transportin en el pecho y éste no "baile". Trae dos cojincitos muy suaves y cómodos: uno para la parte delantera y otro para la que se extiende. El de la parte delantera lo puedes quitar para lavar, el otro no. La parte que se extiende tiene una puertica para tu mascota con cremallera que puedes abrir. Trae una correa para enganchar a tu mascota. Yo en el personal no la uso con mi gato porque tiende a dar vueltas y se puede hacer daño pues se le puede enrollar en alguna parte de su cuerpito, cada mascota es distinta en todo caso es una buena opción.
