MY FAVORITE A5 NOTEBOOK
This is my favorite A5 notebook, and I've bought a lot of them. With the clear waterproof covers, you can design your own illustration or title for each book on the first page and see it easily. The ribbon page markers, small insert ruler, and clear pocket page in the back are the extras that really make it special. It has my desired page count, and a quality writing surface. I would like to mention that I have bought these Rettacy A5 notebooks in three versions, the other two being dot matrix and graph, and it is only the college ruled that has the above mentioned extras, so don't expect them with all formats.

For graphite and technical drawings it's spot-on
Since everyone else seems to only care about markers and pen, thought I'd weigh in. I'm picky about my dot/graph paper. I have books filled with technical drawings, and the highest praises I can give to such paper are: 1. Is it heavy enough to be moved around the shop or studio? 8.5/10. I wouldn't hate it if this was a HAIR thicker, but totally not a deal breaker. 2. Does it work well with GRAPHITE (eg, is it too rough/too smooth)? 9/10. For all-purpose paper? 10/10. 3. Does it erase well? Does it tear? Is it prone to smudging? 10/10. No complaints. 4. Most critically, for me, ARE THE DOTS TOO HEAVY OR FAINT? 10/10. No! They're spot on! I'd call them maybe 40-50% opacity (black on white)? Call it 4H-6H? At a glance, I'd call it #9999AA (they appear to have a SLIGHT cool tone to them, but I'm writing this in my shop, not my studio, and the lighting in here is all 6000K ambient LED, maybe - MAYBE - 90 CRI)? But most critically, the dots can be easily 'shopped out with minimal effort or even impact on the illustration. They're JUST dark enough to see for purposes of laying down a line or following a curve, but still light enough they don't change the cast of the image if a line falls atop one. Clearly visible through engineering stencils too. All in all? 9/10? Call it 9.5 if you factor the price (WHY is DOTTED paper more expensive than LINED?! It's LESS INK! "There's less demand." For you to hit the bloody PRINT BUTTON!? I call BS.) If you're looking for a solid, all-purpose pad for writing notes, graphite, pen, or marker work, this is a solid choice. There's a BIT of bleed through with heavy inks (I said it could be a hair heavier), but since I work 99% in pencil? I believe the expression is, "Nyah nyah!"

These are perfect For those serous into bullet agenda-ing like me! ^_^ Nice quality!
I ordered these a while back when I was past due for my next year’s agenda. I’ve been proudly utilizing personalized bullet agendas for 5 years now and they’ve changed my life on so many levels! ^__^ Such an amazing tool you guys! That being gushed about and all, This particular product pack of 3 was super affordable, the quality of materials is There and each one has more than big enough to fulfill a year’s-worth of calendar & agenda-ing needs! At some point this year I am absolutely ordering another set of these guys to last me the next 3 years since I’m on the last of the 3 now, which is the pink one. Last year I went with yellow. And the blue one I actually gifted a friend who I got into bullet agenda-ing hehe. Once you transition, you’ll never go back to pre-made agendas. Though, I will add that is where I personally began using agendas in the first place! And developing & establishing That habit alone is not easy for the first month or two. But guy, it’s amazing and I couldn’t recommend a more helpful tool for one’s life and such. As I gush some more lol.. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to review my review and hopefully it was helpful. By the way, I’m SO using the blue one from this next pack for 2026. o__o. I never got the chance to use that one! And it’s a lovely shade. ^_^

Stands up to fountain pens!
I'm a stationery nerd with a crazy backlog of probably 50+ new notebooks of all sorts languishing on my shelves, silently judging me, but when I want a practical, value-for-cost utilitarian notebook that nevertheless has excellent paper, I turn to these. I've gone through at least six so far! Paper is thicker than Rhodia (usually 80 gsm) and more absorbent (also slightly less surface-smooth), so fountain pen inks won't sheen much, but it doesn't seem to feather at all even with a wet pen and inks dry quickly. Perfect for quick notes! The mid-tone gray grid ruling is perfect, too, a goldilocks size and color, neither obtrusively dark nor eyestrain light. The plastic cover is sturdy too and provides a flat stiff writing surface anywhere - can repurpose as a hard, toothy shitajiki pencil board! Really, so many good, no-nonsense things about this notebook. Maybe one minor weakness is the spiral binding which can warp and which the paper does catch now and then when turning a page, but it's hard to demand that level of detail engineering in a ~$5 notebook (in the 3-pack). Nearly 200 words about a notebook. Like I said, nerd. But please humor me, I'm harmless. TL;DR: Excellent value, good everyday quality, works with fountain pens.

Very Good Quality!
Very useful! Plastic cover is sturdy and will not damage easily. Good thick paper that does not bleed too easily. Love it! Except that the dotted grid is not 1-1 with each book. otherwise 5/5 stars. I keep purchasing these books over and over due to the clear covers that allow me to title and draw anything on them

Nice quality, look great
These notebooks are really nice. I got them at a great price on black friday , but even at regular price they're worth it. the clear cover is thick and adds a nice frosted effect to the page behind it. the paper is thick and can handle my fountain pen. It's a nice ivory color that's nice on the eyes. They came with with a few stencil sheets that i didn't really need. It'd be nice if they were card stock instead of plastic, but not a huge deal. I'm using mine for school and UX and they've been perfect for that.

Its really tricky to find a grid notebook in Australia, especially spiral bound one. This one has a very nice paper, off white colour and nice clear covers front and back. All that I could ask for!

Very good value, considering three of these cost the same as one normally. Paper quality is good, does not bleed or feather. Using these for compiling recipes and will use one as a travel journal.

Price, size, soft ivory color, thickness and number of pages were all excellent value, but the smoothness and richness of the paper take it to another level.
