I have bad hips, spinal stenosis, and fibromyalgia. It’s extremely hard for me to find a mattress that I feel comfortable in while sleeping due to pressure point pain. I would wake up and toss/turn constantly throughout the night and I’d wake up feeling like a very fatigued, very sore/stiff tin man, and I am immediately in pain upon waking. This mattress is a great fit for me. Truth be told, I wouldn’t say this mattress is anywhere close to being firm. Thank God for that. It’s soft (but, I don’t sink way down into it either). I’m a solid side sleeper - no hip pain. I toss and turn and thrash a lot less. I can very comfortably get in and out of it without a major effort/strain which tells me it isn’t too soft/squishy either. If you sit on the edges of it, it’s not extremely firm/it’s squishy. It’s not a spring mattress nor is it like an old school mattress either though. Expectations have to adjust accordingly. Cooling? Not really. But, I’m hot natured- may not be a fair evaluation considering. I just use a lighter blanket and I sleep with a fan on anyway. The no constant pain is a fair enough trade off for me. I’ll invest in a truly cooling mattress pad/sheets before next Summer. No pressure point pain at all though, I’m not waking up constantly throughout the night and having to toss and turn in and thrash in order to get comfortable - that’s all I wanted out of a mattress. So, again, if a firm mattress is your goal- this probably will not be for you and yours. For chronic pain sufferers like me, this mattress is gold. Perfect mix of soft/less pressure point pain while still offering some decent support. Ten year warranty, a year to return it if it doesn’t work out for you. You don’t often get this generous time frame w an in store mattress purchase. I’ve bought a few mattresses in store, tried them for a couple of months. Hated them - I was out several hundreds of dollars and I was stuck w mattresses that made me feel absolutely physically miserable because you can’t sleep on them awhile before you purchase them. Pain levels can fluctuate w fibromyalgia/hips/backs based on the current weather, higher levels of physical activity so it is rather hard for me to gauge sleep compatibility right away. If you’re in the same boat, give this mattress a try. If it doesn’t work for you, return it. I swore I’d buy my next mattress online w a longer return/warranty just in case due to having a longer time frame to try the mattress out due to my chronic pain. I finally did it and I’m quite satisfied so far. Hoping you his mattress lasts for a few years at least. I do recommend getting deeper pocketed sheets if you are going to use a mattress protector due to kids or pets. My sheets slide up on the sides of the bed which drives me insane. Obviously, a mattress pad will cause the same issue.

I purchased a memory foam pillow a decade ago. The smell was so horrible that I banished it to the garage. Weeks later the smell was still so strong and offensive that I threw the pillow away. That experience made me very hesitant about purchasing a memory foam mattress, but a close relative assured me that she had experienced no odor when she purchased her memory foam mattress. After talking with her and reading numerous reviews, I made the decision to purchase the mattress above. I offer the following comments to help others decide if they want to try a memory foam mattress. 1) Prepare for the EXPANSION EVENT. A memory foam mattress comes in a box and is rolled tightly in plastic. As you unroll the plastic, physics takes over and the mattress starts a growth process you cannot stop. My husband removed the box, stood the mattress up on one end and began unrolling the outer plastic wrapping as I rolled up the plastic he was removing from the mattress. We had cleared a twin size area on the floor. The mattress immediately started expanding and it was necessary to lay it on the floor before we could cut off the heavy plastic bag in which the mattress was sealed under the outer plastic wrapping. Once all the plastic was removed, we left the mattress on the floor for two days to firm up. The third day my husband carried the mattress to its bed frame, where it continued to firm up. Moving the mattress was challenging because the expanded mattress is very wobbly and difficult to handle. We would have needed a second or third person if the mattress had been a larger size. Consider letting the mattress expand on the bed frame so moving it is not necessary. 2) Plastic There is a lot of heavy plastic to dispose of. Find a store or recycling center. 3) Waterproof Mattress Protector It is essential to have a waterproof mattress protector and our mattress did not come with one. The mattress is a foam product and anything you spill on it - food, blood, urine, vomit - will stain the foam and is likely to create permanent smells. Amazon has a good selection of waterproof mattress protectors. 4) Memory Foam Odor Our mattress had no odor. 5) Corners Not Expanding Some reviewers mention corners that did not fully expand. Our corners expanded fully once the inner bag was removed from the mattress. 6) Firmness How firm do you want your mattress? After reviews and recommendations, we decided on Amazon's medium firm, 10 inch mattress. It is comfortable, and does not "trap" you in the foam as some reviewers said could happen with softer mattresses. 7) Heat Consider this issue carefully based on your preferences. As you lay on a memory foam mattress you will feel a warmth. This gentle warmth is comfortable and relaxing, and is one reason I would choose a memory foam mattress again. Removing or adding a blanket can help control the heat level.

For the money, it’s a great mattress and it’s hard to find any real fault with it. I ordered the medium-firm Queen size and about the only that I don’t love and it’s of course very subjective is, it’s a little on the soft side for me. With that being said, it’s still very comfortable for me, especially considering it was a mattress purchased from Amazon without the possibility of trying it first. I was definitely a little nervous about that, but was pleasantly surprised. As for some of the other reviews mentioning odor, I did not experience any of that. I also found the packaging easy to open and lay the mattress out. It only took a few hours for the mattress take on its full shape. 4 out of 5 stars because I feel it’s a little soft for being a “medium-firm”.

Very comfortable bed from day one. Has been very quality and is cool at night to allow sweat to be minimum. Expanded quite fast. Very nice bed for the price.

Oh my goodness! Got this yesterday, slept on it last night. Woke up for the first time in 2 years without back pain this morning. I got the medium firm and added a 2 inch topper I already had. I slept so good last night! No smell, it was amzing! I would higjmy rwcimmend this mattress ti anyone.

I’ve probably purchased over a thousand things on Amazon over the years and have never left a review on a product. This one is worth it. I purchased this mattress back in February and it was the best thing I could have done. Perfect mix between soft and firm and makes it difficult to get out of bed every morning. This bed is SO comfortable. So affordable and works really well with a plain black metal frame. We went on vacation and missed the comfort of this bed! It’s definitely medium firm, offers a lot of support, and seems pretty durable from the two months we’ve had it.

It’s a beautiful mattress. Great price. No smell, and I got it because it says there’s no fiber glass in it. I let the mattress expand for 4 days, just to be safe. After 2 weeks of sleeping on it, I haven’t had one good night sleep since. It’s very soft and I wake up every hour to turn over, or I’m up in the middle of the night and never fall back asleep. I wake up everyday and my back and hips are sore. I’m bummed because the description said it was a firm mattress. Unfortunately the price and lack of smell or fiber glass mean nothing when you aren’t sleeping well.
