Bramble - Waterproof Wheelchair Poncho Cover Full Body Coverage, Windproof & Protects from Rain, Universal Fit for Mobility Scooter & Wheelchairs

I use a powerchair to go out throughout the week. A powerchair is an electric wheelchair not a scooter so the rain accessories I looked at weren't suitable for me and then I looked at wheelchair accessories which is what I was looking for and I found this item. It is amazing, very easy to wear and indeed put on and it fits in the pocket behind my chair. Because my chair is a powerchair, I use a joystick to control it and it's not a road vehicle as it says in my manual. The only downside I had about my chair is that I couldn't go out if it was raining because of the electrical components on my chair. This is why I wanted a rain coat ir something so that I could go out in the rain and cover my joystick and speed display. I found this poncho on Amazon and read the information and looked at the picture and I knew instantly that is the poncho for me. I ordered the item and it actually came a day earlier than was displayed which was great, because I needed to go out that day so I used it for the first time in the rain and it's a wonderful product. There are no sleeves with it being a poncho. I look for the white line which is on the hood so you know that is the back of the hood. I put it on over my normal fleece/jacket and it doesn't make you overly hot. My arms and indeed my legs are completely covered by this poncho and that's great for me because my joystick is covered by the poncho, so I know now that if I go out and it's sunny, it stays in the pocket behind my chair but if it turns cloudy and then rains, I don't need to panic. I simply remove it from the pocket, unfold it and pop it over my head. The hood is large and has toggles so you can keep it secure. I've even worm this over my hat and it doesn't affect that either. There is a zip that you can move up or down as to how covered you wish to be. I've been out loads of times since buying this poncho and I love it. I know some of the reviews said that it doesn't cover all of the body. I'm 5'4 so it covers me and the only things that aren't covered are my shoes! They are waterproof anyway. I like how versatile this is and so easy to use. I would recommend this to people in wheelchairs and powerchairs mainly. It simply is the best money I've spent in a long time!

Great product just long enough to cover feet, tabs on the side kept it from flying up and the zip in the front comes down enough for the person to move without taking it off, the quality is good quite thick, so not at all flimsy and not easily ripped . Hood large but drawstrings around it can be made smaller. Easy to put on. Would buy again if needed to

Bought this for my daughter to use on her wheelchair. She is nearly 9 & although the chair is a bit big for her she uses an adult 16inch chair (cheaper than the paediatric options & she likes to sit on her feet!). On first look/use I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the item, the fabric is quite thick, kept her dry & held off the rain well. It has holes in the back for the wheelchair handles, covered her wheelchair bag hanging on the back of her chair keeping that dry & covers the side of the chair well. My negatives are that it seamed rater small, keep in mind my little girl is only 9 & 135cm tall but her feet were stuck out of the bottom of the cover so her shoes got wet with the water dripping down the poncho onto them. Easy fix for her as she took her shoes off & curled up in her chair but this wouldn't be an option for an adult! The hood is also rather small, it didn't even cover the hood of her coat she was wearing under the poncho & finally when pushing the chair the sides overhang the large back wheels so I'm not sure how long it would last rubbing on the wheels. In all it will suit us until my daughter is a little bigger but then I would be looking for a larger cover.

Brilliant

I bought the Bramble - Waterproof Wheelchair Poncho Cover - full body for our new Enigma Drive wheelchair. It will be travelling with us when we go to Edinburgh for the Royal Military Tattoo on the 20th this month , even if it doesn't rain it will most likely be used as we have been informed it can get very cold and breezy in the evening. We will carry it with us whenever we use the wheelchair. It looks good and is functional as it keeps the person protected from rain, wind and cold plus it covers the wheelchair too. It is very good value for money.

Great product, we used it for our mom who needed to be carried in a wheelchair . It helped us a lot during rainy days. Easy to put on . Great product and a great value .

Fit well over the wheelchair and is nice and thick so I feel it should last awhile. There were arm holes but we just draped it over the wheelchair and used it like that. Was large enough to cover a tall power chair with a big guy in it. Very happy with purchase.
