BTS Jung Kook Idol Doll

It came in perfect condition no scratches no marks no nothing. I do not know how to change my settings to take a picture but I do recommend getting it if you’re missing this one or just want it. I do not take them out of the box so I cannot say much about how the doll feels but it is very nice.

I got the BTS Jung Kook Idol Doll as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and she absolutely loved it! She’s a huge BTS fan, and I hear her blasting their music all day long — this doll made her so happy. The doll is well-made, detailed, and captures his iconic look perfectly. She’s been displaying it proudly in her room and even taking it along for fun photos.

It was a hit! my granddaughter loves it!

I bought a few of these BTS dolls for customization purposes, so this review may not pertain to people buying as/for fans of BTS. As you can see from my pictures, the doll has 13 points of articulation. The hair on these BTS dolls is plastered into shape and feels crunchy and a little gross. The layering of the hair itself is poorly done and if you plan on keeping the original hair, feathering it a bit should help. When I removed the factory face with acetone, the process took much more effort than typical Mattel dolls (Barbie, Monster High, etc.). The head mold includes shaping of the eyes, so there’s not as much leeway when drawing them for yourself. I have the same complaint with the body shape as I do with most male dolls, in that the waist looks weirdly narrow (especially combined with the silly 8-pack), but I suppose female dolls suffer similar disproportions. As the doll will end up covered in clothes, this probably isn’t too big a deal. It seems like I’ve been mostly complaining, but overall I’m very satisfied with this doll, particularly at the price I got it for ($5). Male options for these plastic factory dolls in general aren’t great, but the BTS line is well articulated and has distinct face molds for each member.

No, they don't look like the members. No, they don't even really look Asian. But when I look at the two I have (Jungkook, and Jimin), I see them in the face. Both directly, and the profile. Mattel could have really messed this up, but I think they did a fair job. They look like Barbie versions of BTS, and that's exactly what they are. I took off points for Kookie's hair being kinda weird (but I love the color), and for the execution of their Idol suits. They don't look quite as suave when they're scaled down and lose all the details and the natural shape clothing on the real human body. I love the simplicity of the packaging. It really keeps the focus on the doll. It's Perfect for collectors (me), and not important anyway to someone who's going to take the doll out and actually play with it. Overall I'm extremely happy with Jungkook and Jimin. If I were going to get another one (I'm not), it would be according to the accuracy in their face molds. Obviously I think these two were the best done. RM and JHope are really great too. V is kind of okay. Suga and Jin look NOTHING like their human counterparts. So From best to worst, the BTS Mattel dolls in my opinion, rank like this: Jimin, Jungkook, RM, JHope, V, Jin, Suga.

the measurements are accurate, and it feels sturdy. but it cannot freely stand by itself without having to use another object to prop it up. this should be no issue for you if you aren’t look to display it on a shelf/desk.

El empaque un poco dañando pero de ahí en fuera todo bien, el muñeco excelente, Jungkook si tiene piezas separadas a diferencia de otros integrantes. Sobre el empaque es entendible que está dañado ya que estos muñecos salieron desde 2019 😅

High end doll, fully articulated and good value for money

Unfortunately the packaging/envelope wasn't strong enough to stop the doll's box from being damaged. Given it had to travel internationally; a sturdier parcel with some bubble wrap would have been better. Thankfully though, the actual JK doll itself is completely fine and in great condition! So overall, very happy with the purchase! Just a different selection of parcel would have been a better choice!
