Pool filter
Used as a filter system for filling the pool straight from the well. Looks like I’ll get a year at best each filter. Solid product although contractors hit my set up twice needing repairs. But it’s working great

Cracked after 7 months; flooded my crawlspace.
While it is a cheap alternative and the threaded fittings are brass, the plastic case itself is, well... cheap. Out of the blue on a mild September day it cracked. Water started pouring everywhere into my crawlspace where the filter was installed. It was actually the day I returned from vacation. Thank God it didn't burst but a week earlier or it would have kept flooding for several days without my knowing. Don't "save money" with this product (read the other reviews: my situation is not unique) and get a real housing for your filter. Sidenote: still waiting for a reply from GeekPure on their warranty.

junk - Won't pass pressure test
In order to pass plumbing inspection my newly installed completely renovated well filtration and ALL of the plumbing in my home was replaced. I wasn't aware there was an air pressure test of the system required that mandated that the system hold double the 50psi design pressure for at least 30 minutes (which would be 100psi). Long story short - pressure test failed. I traced it to this Geekpure filter housing. I could literally watch the pressure gauge drop to 30psi within minutes and then finally nothing. If I bypassed the filter there was no problem and my system held pressure for over 2 hours before we manually released the pressure. I tightened the canister as tight as reasonably possible and pressurized the system several times but it would never hold. I have a total of five filters and an ultraviolet sterilizer in my filter array and only one filter is a Geekpure. All the other canister filters held pressure with no problems. I had to disassemble much of the filter array to get to the Geekpure. This requires un-mounting the complete row of filters from the back board and disassembling 10 separate 3/4" threaded pipe joints and four PEX joints. This took a few hours. It wasn't fun. Of course there was a second inspection (AND inspection fee) which passed with no problem once the Geekpure was eliminated. I might add that the mounting bracket was very flimsy - too flimsy to securely hold a 2 1/2 inch by 20 inch filter canister. Very disappointed. Very VERY disappointed.

Update: bought one for my house and it’s working great aswell. Works great no leaks just use tape and plumbers dope and it shouldn’t leak, would be nice if it had a bypass feature and stronger bracket but it does the job and I like the clear canister over the blue I can see the filter. In my opinion every house should have a sediment filter, ull be amazed at how dirty it gets.

The actual product quality seems like it would be fine but I can’t even test Bitmoji because of poor quality control. The O-ring was not seated on the groove but the unit was fully threaded together. O-ring is damaged and will not seal.

Filter showed up with O-ring not placed correctly in bottom section causing it to be pinched and deformed. Bracket to support the filter is thin metal compared to the “Big Blue” brand and the whole filter moves when using the wrench to loosen and tighten when replacing the filter. The clear housing is nice allowing you to see the condition of the filter.
