ASICS GelNimbus 17 (D) Women's Wide Running Shoe

Took me months to learn that years of underpronation was causing back, leg, and hip pain. I had to put aside my cute heels and flats in favor of cushioned footwear. Asics has been a fantastic brand for the tiny fraction of the population that underpronate. Until the Nimbus 17,  ASICS Women's Gel-Equation 7 Running Shoe,White/Black/Hot Pink,8.5 M US  were my favorite go-to pair. The two things that kept me from ordering the Gel-Nimbus 17 were (1) the cost (c'mon, for sneakers, really?) and (2) the styling (for the price, I want something I can wear every day and everywhere, and these weren't it).I finally ordered a pair during an Amazon sale a few months ago. I have to admit, these sneakers were worth every pricey penny. In addition to supination issues, I have wide feet that require arch support. These sneakers are like walking on pillowy clouds. I can put them on first thing in the morning and walk city blocks all day long without a single twinge. But I do have a continuing gripe: the limited selection of colors for wide feet was just insulting. I would have loved to buy the black pair but was reduced to the slightly 80s looking lavender. And again, at this price point, I should be able to order any color I want.But at least I have a happy ending to my saga for supportive sneakers. I'm happy to report no back issues so long as I'm wearing Asics.

Love the color of this shoe. Even though I got it wide it seems to fit a little snug on my feet. I am a size 9.5 women so I decided to go to size up to size 10 just in case and it was a smart move. The similar size of a 9.5 in women's is a 8.5 in men's because i use the men gel nimbus 17 because i find the women size tighter. Overall, I have been using the gel nimbus for a few years now and noticed it helps me alot when I excerise and especially run. I have flag feet so having a nice cushion and the gel for my arc helps when I hit the ground. Overall, I love these shoes since they are the latest nimbus shoes everywhere they seem to still be 150$. Since its the holiday season amazon managed to give these 20% off. So it was totally worth it wish I would have got 2 more pairs if they came in my sizes.

I love these sneakers! Previously I was mapped and was told Brooks was the best shoe for me - they were wrong. I wore the Brooks Aerial for 6 months and they were never as comfortable as these on the first day I wore them. I walk about 3.5 miles before work every morning and I have much more of a spring in my step now and I'm able to run more than I did before. I definitely under-pronate (I think, tend to walk on the outsides of my feet) but not in these shoes! I trip and fall a lot, but not once since I received these shoes! I cannot recommend them enough - if you are thinking about trying them - do!

I am a registered nurse and am on my feet for 12+ hours a day, at least 3 days a week. This is the only shoe that I have found to be comfortable right out of the shoe box. I feel the support and cushion right away. On the other hand, that comfort does not last all day, but this is the best shoe I have found. I have plantar fasciitis, and compared to other shoes and clogs out there, this shoe outshines them all. I do pair this shoe with some compression socks and it works well for my long days.

These shoes had a lot of potential.. I could not wear them for a full day because they were not wide enough.. I ordered wide width but unfortunately they needed to be a little wider.. Otherwise they definitely felt comfy and supportive.. I could not justify paying over $100.00 for shoes that weren't completely comfy for me.. I tried the same shoe and style (different color) on in a local store but they didn't have the wide width available so I thought I'd order these.. Definitely worth trying.. Most comfy shoes I've come across in a while..

I love these shoes. This is the second pair I've bought. These shoes are the best I've tried for running. The cushioning is amazing. My feet never ache no matter how far I run.I've tried a lot of different brands and these are by far the most comfortable and best fitting shoes I've found.I had to buy a second pair because the internal fabrics were wearing out and giving me blisters. They lasted 9 months and about 600 miles.

This is my 6th pair of this model of shoe (over the last 3 years)! I have been fitted into these shoes by a professional.They are tried and true. I have a wider than normal foot and they work well for me.No slipping, never a blister (even when new), I replace them only after high mileage where the rest of the shoe is entirely in tact.I wash them in the machine and retire an old pair for casual then lawn mowing wear.

Not the shoe for me. I have high arches and was set to sail when the gel nimbus 16 was discontinued (and then impossible to find in 7D anywhere). This was another failed attempt. Finally found a pair of Brooks that are perfect.
