Great tool to have especially when you get a flat tire
As I mentioned in previous reviews, I recently downsized and ended having an online auction company come into my house and wiped me out of so many tools that I wasn't ready to part with. Unfortunately, on the day they came to categorize my stuff, I was sick in bed with a high fever and was unable to oversee what they ended up auctioning off. Two of the items that were auctioned off were both of my air compressors. I find air compressors great to have around as you never know when you're going to walk out to your vehicle only to see a flat tire. So I decided to invest in a new air compressor but one with all the necessary hoses and accessories. It gives me great peace of mind that I will end up stranded in my garage with a flat tire. I'm very happy with the model I chose especially since it comes with all the necessary accessories. I do wish it had wheels but I couldn't find a model with wheels and all the necessary accessories. To be honest, I kinda get confused with air compressors that don't include all the accessories. I'm not a mechanic so I didn't need a compressor that I would use on a daily basis. This Craftsman model basically has everything I need and it's not too heavy to carry although I don't plan on carrying it anywhere. So I'm giving it a positive review for folks who would like to have an air compressor but kinda get confused by the necessary accessories. Follow up. Today I finally "tested" the air compressor. It worked fine but I was unable to insert the hose and fittings unless the tank was empty. Even when I assembled everything, I found the part that you use to connect to a tire valve was not air tight despite having what I refer to as plumber's tape on the threads. Note that where the hose connects to the air compressor was air tight. So I think I need to use a couple of pliers or wrenches to better tighten the accessories. I did try needle nose pliers but they only helped a little bit. I should mention that it still would fill a flat tire in it's present condition. I also could easily reduce the pressure produced by the air compressor as I believe that would reduce the "leak" at the accessories into the hose. I still recommend this unit as I believe I'll be able to make the accessories more air tight. I should also mention that I have significant arthritis in my hands so perhaps someone without arthritis would not run into the problems I did. One nice accessory is an "air gun" which is strong enough to air clean the floor of the garage by spraying the garage floor to the outside with the garage door open. Just make sure any "lightweight" items are on shelves.

Reliable and Affordable Compressor for Home Garage
I recently purchased this compressor for my home garage, as I found myself needing one after moving to a house with a 3-car garage in the back. Despite never owning one before, I was pleasantly surprised by its usefulness. The setup was straightforward, and I was impressed by its condition upon arrival, despite hearing mixed reviews. While it is a bit noisy, which is to be expected, the overall performance outweighs this minor inconvenience. The price, especially considering the included extras, was reasonable, and it doesn't take up much space in my garage. I've used it a couple of times already and plan to use it again for bleeding my brake system. If you're looking for an affordable compressor that gets the job done without breaking the bank, I would definitely recommend this one.

Nice little compressor
It's a great little compressor. Ive been using it for awhile and have had no issues. on my unit in particular, the part with the gauges isn't straight. like in production they had it straight then kept tightening it so it's crooked. works fine though

This product is serving me well, and that is all I can expect. Inexpensive and easy to use.
Before I had purchased this compressor, I never owned one or had the need for one.. Since I'm now in a home with a 3 car garage in the back along with the 2 attached to my home.. I thought it would be a good time to purchase one for when a time it is need.. I have used it twice so far, and plan on using it again to bleed my brake system on 2 of my cars.. I was impressed with the condition it came in, as I have read a lot of negative reviews. Plus it was very simple to set up and use.. It is a little noisy, but what compressor is not. The price with all the extras was not bad at all, and does not take up any room in my garage.. if you want a inexpensive one to use in your home, and it will not break the bank, then I highly recommend this.

Great unit for what it is, portable and easy to use.
I read several reviews knocking its air holding capability if left full. First, tighten valve on bottom of tank. It is installed loosely and needs to be tightened before first use. Second, I generally do not leave air in my compressor tanks for long periods, but if you desire to do so I would turn the line pressure valve all the way down so the only thing holding air is the tank. I tested this just to verify the complaints about this compressor and it has been three weeks now and I have not lost a pound of pressure with the line valve closed. With the valve open the air line does seep air slowly and would drain the tank in about 4 to 6 hours down to 30 pounds. This tells me the fittings are either not tight enough or not sealed properly. If you want to go all out order some Harvey seal for gas lines as Compressed air is a gas and seal the threads on all of the connections. You want cheap fix use Teflon plumbers tape on all connections. Saw complaints about using for large off road tires. So this how this set up works. If you have tires or anything that requires 85psi to fill you need a compressor that can generate 170psi or more. Why? Because the pressure will equalize meaning if you have this compressor that generates 150 psi it will equalize at at 75psi which means it will be very difficult to pressurize a tire over 75psi. The only way to prevent equalization is to use a one way valve nozzle to fill the tire. Almost all air compressor lines are a two way or open closed valve meaning if you exceed the pressure in the tank the air will flow back to the tank from whatever you are trying to inflate. It is not to say you couldn’t fill a tire to85psi with this unit it means every time the pressure drops to 90 in the tank air will start to flow back and force the compressor to continuously recharge the tank. This means you must stop inflating and let it fully charge repeatedly until you reach your desired pressure. Overall this is a great portable unit for tires, inflatable balls, impacts (if you don’t mind it running) air wrenches and air hammers. It is a 6 gallon tank, using air tools will make this run almost nonstop because of this size tank. I only had an issue with an axle that was rusted on and I needed the air hammer continuously for about 15minutes. I had to stop several times and let the tank fill. But I expected this as it is 6gal not 60.

A perfect 1st compressor for any need!
Seeing as I had never used an air compressor before, I was a bit apprehensive when it came time to buy my own. Fortunately Craftsman is a trusted name, and going with this little guy was the right decision: it works flawlessly for all my needs and is extremely user friendly too! Whether it's filling up tires, checking for boost leaks in my truck, or just need some concentrated air to help with cleaning, this does it all without breaking a sweat. It has two attachment ports, as well as two easy to read gauges (one for cans total pressure, one for how much you want to come through hose) with a single knob on the front that controls how much air you are using. There is a safety release pin on the side, and on the bottom there is a moisture release valve that you should open up every time you are done using compressor. Make sure you have ran it down to zero prior to doing so, otherwise you might cause your pets to flee in terror from the loud hissing noise. As far as less likeable features go, they are pretty minimal! As other people have stated, this puppy is pretty loud. Nothing that will damage your ears or anything, but if your significant other or a baby is sleeping, you might want to hold off on turning it on. The safety release valve is kind of uncomfortable to pull, it's like the rings on your key chain but with a portion of it bent outward so it's kinda jagged to handle, but again, not a big deal. I imagine this is about as user friendly as it gets, so if this is your first time buying a compressor, this is an excellent choice! As tempting as it may be to buy a used one for cheaper, that is a bad idea! These cans are only made to last for so long, so be smart and stay safe! I highly recommend the red rubber ball, and I think you'll like it too!

Excellent
Incredibly lightweight for its' capacity, two outlets, small footprint. Acceptably quiet, given that it's not a 'quiet' compressor. Nice accessory kit. Hose is a generous length, but it's a bit stiff. The regulator knob works fine, but doesn't seem too robust.

Lost power after 2 years
Great product overall. Has been a great product to fill tires for cars, bicycles, yoga balls etc. Kept inside for winters however somehow, the compressor will not turn on after only two years and minimal use. Cannot find warranty information so far.
