The item received was just as pictured but in the color grey. This is the perfect hair brush to slick back your hair into the perfect hair bun. The bristles are very stiff so it works perfect getting all the hair slicked back! I love it and I have used this brush for years, had I not lost it I would still have the original!

I’ve been looking for this exact brush for years. I used to have one just like it, and when it finally wore out, I couldn’t find anything that worked the same. I tried a bunch of others, but the bristles were always off, either way too soft or too stiff to actually do anything. This one is perfect. The bristles have just the right firmness to smooth my hair down without hurting my scalp. It’s great for slicking everything back into a bun or ponytail, and it actually holds, not like other brushes that just glide over and leave flyaways behind. It’s so easy to use. The thumb grip gives you a lot more control when you’re styling, especially if you’re trying to get a clean, pulled-together look. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and doesn’t feel awkward in your hand. I use it daily and it’s holding up really well, no loose bristles, no cracks in the handle, nothing cheap-feeling about it. I honestly don’t think I’ll use another brush after this. If you’re into sleek styles or need something reliable for everyday brushing, this one’s totally worth it.

I don't usually write reviews but simply had to for this. This brush is perfect, perfect, perfect. And did I mention how perfect it is? I have been trying to find a brush like this for years, one with stiff bristles. Ya know, like we used to be able to find by walking into any drug store? The only ones available these days seem to be vintage (used, ugh) on ebay for like $25. Ridiculous. I bought one online (not on ebay, not vintage) about a year ago, but at this point the bristles are all bending in different directions. And there are so many rows, it's impossible to actually get the thing through my hair. Waste of time and money. But this brush which I'm reviewing is so divine. Not too many rows, and the bristles give my scalp a nice massage. Finally. Thank you from a very satisfied customer.

As others have said, the bristles are stiff and may hurt your scalp. The bristles still have burrs on them from when they were cut. I got this for my young daughter, so I used 220 grit sandpaper to file off the burrs and now it feels much better to brush with. It's hard to find a good basic brush in the store, so we will stick with this one, and if its too hard for my daughter I'll let her use my 20 year old brush and I'll use this one.

I love GOODY Bristle brush. This is the only brush that can tame my hair with. You can grip the handle to get a good control of the brush while brushing. This bush works well with all types of hair and it is a durable brush for a reasonable price.

Perfect for edges especially 4C hair. May be too hard for children who are tender headed. Gets down to the root. Smoothed gelled edges nice. Had a wider one years ago but this one is fine for what I need it to do. Love it!!!

This style brush has been made since the 80s. And have bought it countless times. Now it's bristles are so hard that it causes pain to brush with and the head is a bit more narrow. Not the great quality or comfort it once was. Disappointing.

I like the bristle. It’s a good brush

It is what I ordered but I thought I was getting a purple colour based on the item's description. All good though. It came almost 2 weeks before the estimated times so I am pleased with that. These specific Goody brushes are no longer in local stores, as far as I can tell, anyway. So was pleased to be able to replace the one I had for 30+ years. It was quite worn out.
