Will the gold trim wear off

After 2 years there is no sign of the gold trim wearing off. It is still an excellent pen that I use all the time

This is original? Why is so cheap?

Amazon are often able to sell Parker and Waterman pens with large discounts, so that might account for the price. It is also packaged in a way that I am not familiar with, but Parker have been changing their packaging lately to make it in a cheaper form (disappointing in my opinion). Remember also that this is a stainless steel nib (perhaps it is gold plated) not a 23k solid gold nib that is available on some Sonnet models. Hope that helps.
