Love this EDC knife.
This knife gets lots of good reviews and I can see why. Ever since I got my ZT 0566 last year, I have been in love with flipper knives. I love my ZT 0566 blackwash, but I also really love the Sinkevich design of this knife. I love the looks of the titanium one because it's sleek and clean. I've seen it referred to as a "gentlemen's folder" more than once and I can see why. It's a beautiful knife. It came very sharp and the KVT bearing system makes the blade deployment very smooth. I think the size of the knife is just about perfect. I have medium sized hands and I can grip it very comfortably. It's also very lightweight at only 2.9 ounces. I don't even notice it in my pocket. When I pick up my ZT 0566 now, it feels so large and chunky in the hand compared to this one. The 0566 weighs around 5.4 oz as well, so you can also feel the difference in weight when holding them. All in all, this is a great knife and you get a decent sized blade (3.25") in a relatively small package. The only thing I don't like about this knife is the factory pocket clip. There's nothing wrong with it and it works just fine, but it's not a deep carry pocket clip, so it will leave about half an inch of your knife exposed from your pocket. I don't like that and prefer deep carry pocket clips, so I ordered an aftermarket one from a company called MXG Gear and it works great. If you've been on the fence about this one, I definitely recommend it.

awesome knife, one big problem
ok one quick caveat to the 5 star rating. as this knife came out of the box, it deserved 2 stars. it seemed well built, light weight, perfect centering and came with one of the best factory edges I've ever seen I'm talking straight razor. But the detent ball on this thing is about twice the size it needs to be. would not open with the flipper with less than about 15 lbs of force. And before everyone jumps down my throat saying I'm pressing the lock bar, let me tell you i wasn't. I'm not a knife newb, i know how a flipper is operated I've had several. open and close this blade about 5 times and your finger would be throbbing. if you get a knife that has this problem, heres the 5 minute fix standing between you and one of the most awesome EDC blades out there. take it apart. look at the hole on the blade where the detent ball drops in. place the blade flat on the table, and take a drill bit slightly larger than the detent hole (i think i used 3/16s). drill into the hole as if you were going to widen it, press down hard and drill slow for just a couple seconds. all this will do is take the 90 degree lip of the detent hole and slightly round and shave it down a bit to maybe 50-60 degrees, only about 1/32 of an inch on the corner of the lip. put it back together. it still has enough grab on the blade that it will not open by accident, if its closed i cannot shake the blade out no matter what. but oh man what a difference. you touch the flipper and the ball bearings make that thing fly open so fast. i think its even a little faster than my domino and that is saying a lot. lf you get one that is like this out of the box then lucky you, if not don't cry about it, take five minutes to get the detent squared away and you have one of the best knives I've ever seen. its materials and fit and finish are excellent, pretty much a flipper small sebenza for $165 how can you not love it? buy it now you will love it

No remorse. Daily EDC art
I haven’t written any reviews yet. So this being my first I would like to be detailed in my analysis. My first ever knife was a skyline that I had bought at Walmart. Recently I have got the knife life bug and been on a buying spree. So far I’ve purchased the benchmade 940. While I loved the shape of the knife the green handle and weight/size I realized I only wanted a knife with a flipper. Then I bought a paramilitary 3 that was a blue purple in s110v. That knife was wonderful in every was except the color I wish was a hunter green, no flipper and a wide knife. Next I got a 452cf zero tolerance. And while Nick Shabazz seemed to really like it. It was way to big for edc. My hands are medium size however. I bought a 0450 cf next and even changed the black cf handle on it for mine so it was the silver blade on the cf handle and the black blade on the steel handle. Oddly enough I didn’t like how light it felt. Your mileage may vary but to me it didn’t feel as assuring. So I sent it back. Like Nick Shabazz from YouTube and others have said this knife is a gem. I wish it had a spyderco ffg blade in S110V with either a wharncliffe, reverse tanto, or sheepsfoot blade. And I’d like one with green g10. But the size of handle and blade are great for me. The flipper is the best I’ve felt. I like the fact it’s unassisted but still flys open like it was without the twist you get from speedsafe or an auto. I appreciate the minimal branding (I used a dry sponge to erase most of the ZT branding on the clip.) S35V has been a very good steel for me, but on cedrics channel his results differed. I’ve tried nano oil and blue lube on the bearings after a cleaning and I prefer blue lube. Also if you notice the green spacers that’s because I borrowed them from the black cf 0450. This knife is worth a buy (Pictures are of a Boker Urban Trapper- wood handle and a Kershaw Hotwire- black handle)

A new favorite, simply a great knife
I have been carrying this one for about a week now and I think I’m liking it more and more each day … no buyers remorse here! - Knife came razor sharp with perfect centering and fast, effortless deployment - This knife does not have a thumb stud which doesn’t really bother me since I’ve never been a big fan of them personally - though, if it had a thumb stud I would most likely just ignore it like I do on most knives so I think the lack of having one is just sort of alienating the large majority of knife lovers who do - that aside, using slight pressure on the index opener should glide this baby open with fluid like precision - the blade is held in place with a detention ball and uses a ball and bearing system to pivot the blade - I have heard that the break in on these detention balls have varied from review to review but from what I can tell the one on my knife is about right, though it is still a little tight for my liking on one hand closing -some reviews have stated that the detent ball was faulty or extremely stiff to the point that they feel stinging pain in their index finger when trying to open the knife with the index opener- if this is the case I would say that there is something defective with the knife … medium to normal pressure should be enough to deploy the blade with ease - I love the practical, no nonsense vibes it has with the look of the stonewashed titanium and elegant Sinkevich designed blade - This is a great alternative to people who desire a more medium to small EDC flipper (4” or less) that isn’t so “tactically flashy” and large like most knife in the ZT line - so far I have not been disappointed - time will tell how it lasts but from what I can tell it will be in my rotation for a while to come

Favorite knife in my collection!
First and foremost, I'm a knife junkie. A have an array of top quality knives ranging from Sog, Kershaw, Spyderco, ZT, Case, Benchmade, and more. All of them are mostly for EDC use. This beauty is easily my new favorite and well worth the price. It's silhouette both open and closed are gorgeous, with long, elegant, and clean lines. The blade is made of a fantastic steel with a perfect satin finish and tasteful sledge and is wicked sharp out of the box. The bead blading on the handle is also masterfully done. My favorite touches are the polished pivot and Ruby red standoffs. It's just enough bling while keeping it's classy character. The blade action and detent are also suberb; easily up the with the CT sebenza. I credit this to design, the KVT ball bearing system, ceramic washers, and weight to length ration. Some have complained about the knife being difficult to deploy, but honestly that really only comes down to knowing how to open a frame lock knife. The only knock I have (a minor) one is the pocket clip, and that's only because I generally prefer a deep carry clip. I have custom satin finish deep carry clip on the way. Pay for quality, put out the dough, and enjoy this masterpiece everytime you look at, deploy it or use it!

Gorgeous knife, super durable
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS KNIFE! It may sound absurd but I’ve bought this knife 3 separate times now due to losing these knives every time I’ve bought them (hopefully the 3rd times the charm) which brings me to the only real issue I’ve found with this knife. Between the way the knife itself is designed (long and thin), how high it sits in the pocket and the way the pocket clip is designed it can easily worm its way out of your pocket as you walk around, this is how I’ve lost them each time, they fell out of my pocket while out and about. I would recommend buying a aftermarket deep carry pocket clip, I bought one for my last knife and it took 3 years to lose (as opposed to 3 months with the factory clip) and I’ve already ordered another one, oh and I’d also recommend on not carrying other things in your pocket since it puts some upwards pressure on the knife making it fall out easier. Even with that being said, I absolutely love this knife (I’ve bought this $250 knife 3 times after all, if I wasn’t completely in love with this knife, I absolutely wouldn’t have done it). This knife is absolutely gorgeous, it could absolutely pass as a gentleman’s knife. I love how sleek the design is, I haven’t found many knives with similar long/thin designs or a similar blade profile, I love the 2 tone design and I love the milling on the blade, the only aesthetic aspect of the knife I would change is the fact that the screws only have heads on one side of the blade, where the other side only shows the bottom sides of the screws (Chicago screws would make this knife just that much nicer) but it’s a very minor complaint. As far as how well the knife performs, I have absolutely zero complaints. S35VN steel and titanium are one of the best material combinations you can use for EDC pocket knives, sure there are stronger steels and lighter scale/handle materials but the trade off of the blade being too hard/brittle as well as being hard to sharpen and having weaker scale materials aren’t worth it in my book, this combination is the best of both worlds for a knife you actually carry every single day, it will hold up to daily abuse as well as hard use doing blue collar work. The flipper function works flawlessly even in the sandy/silty desert, the titanium scales aren’t just beautiful, they’re incredibly durable, the frame lock is as strong as it gets, the steel insert on the tab of the locking arm is well designed and definitely durable, the knife holds an edge for a long time even with daily use yet is still easy enough to sharpen, the steel used as well as its temper are amazing, out of all 3 I’ve owned, I’ve never chipped the blade or broke the tip off once with hard daily use and it fits perfectly in the hand. With all that being said, I couldn’t recommend the knife enough, all my complaints I’ve listed and they’re honestly very, very few and very, very, very minor. I’m not just saying that either, I’ve put my money where my mouth is, I’ve collectively spent $750 just to own and use this knife over the past 4 years and I don’t regret it at all. After buying this last knife, when it arrived in the mail and I opened the package, I legitimately felt a warm feeling in my chest like I was reunited with an old friend.

Can't Open The Knife
Very experience with knives, been collecting, trading, buying and giving away knives a long time. Received this knife in pristine condition looked very good, tight blade, everything solid and tight. However, when I tried to open it, the booger hit the fan. Couldn't open it, finally after a few minutes, almost torn my finger nail off, it opened. That way every time. No, it's not me, the knife is NOT working properly, ( I should have read the reviews before buying ) lots of others had this same problem. I have sent for a replacement, if it is that way I'm done with this knife. One reviewer said, he sent and got a replacement and it was the same, couldn't open it. I am telling you a good thing to help you, read the reviews and take heed to the 1 star's, they're telling you the truth. A knife at the price should function perfect. I agree with a reviewer on this statement; a 50 dollar Civivi Element works smooth as silk, I have around 17 of those. Always wanted one of these ZT 0450. However, things aren't looking very promising. I'm giving it one more try. Again, people are telling you the pure honest true on the flipping situation and so am I... Addition: Just received the replacement that I was telling you about. It's the same as the first one, it will open with force sometimes, then want open at all. Don't believe I'll be adding a ZT to my collection...

Made in USA hin oder her... Kommen wir zurück zu der Faszination. Die wird bleiben. Du kannst dich jetzt mit einem China Messer vorerst zufrieden geben, aber wir wissen beide, dass du schon bald wieder hier auf die Fotos starren wirst. Also, spar die günstigeren Ersatzmesser!
