The Hartz Hairball Remedy Plus Salmon Flavored Paste has been great for our cats and kittens. They actually enjoy the salmon flavor, which makes giving it easy, and it helps reduce hairballs noticeably. Easy to use, effective, and our cats stay more comfortable and less gassy. Definitely a helpful addition for any household with long-haired or shedding cats.

My long-haired cat was vomiting hairballs off and on and then one day she vomited a sausage shaped hairball so huge that I can only imagine that it had filled her entire stomach. The poor baby was literally howling as she threw up. Honestly, after that incident I was afraid she could possibly die from having a hairball block her GI tract. I went to PetSmart and bought some expensive, petroleum free hairball treatment but my cat had absolutely no interest in it. I found this inexpensive product at Walmart and after about a week or so of using it the problem was alleviated. Now she will only rarely vomit a little ball of hair. Walmart has been my source for this product however they stopped carrying it and now sells a chicken flavored Hairball Solution Gel by Pet-Ag. I tried to get my kitty to use the Pet-Ag product but she showed no interest in it. I had a little of this product left so I had to put a little drop of the Hartz on the Pet-Ag product to get her to eat it. As you can see by the instructions below, the dosage to prevent hairballs is feeding a one-inch ribbon once or twice a week. My kitty thinks this stuff is a treat and cries for it. Since her stomach is holding less food at night, I give her a little dot of it nightly. She’s excited to get her treat every night when I’m brushing my teeth. I put the dot of paste on a little dish and she laps it up right away. I make it a point to give it to her only when her stomach is pretty much empty of food so that the effectiveness is not reduced by the product being absorbed by the food. I’ve had a great experience with the Hartz Hairball Remedy Plus Salmon Flavored Paste. My cat absolutely loves the taste—he thinks it’s a treat. The salmon flavor must be really appealing because he comes running when he sees the tube. The biggest win for me is that I can easily hide his thyroid pill in it. Normally giving him medication is a struggle, but when I mix the pill with this paste, he gobbles it right up without any fuss. It’s made giving him his daily medicine so much easier and stress-free. As a bonus, it also helps with hairballs, so it feels like we’re getting two benefits in one product. If you have a picky cat or need an easy way to give medication, I highly recommend this paste. It’s been a lifesaver in our house! 🐱💊

One cat loves it, the other hates it. But that's okay as long as it works. We'll see how it goes. It's difficult to get out as the tube seems only about half full so doubt I'll get it again but again, as long as it works...

This is a good product. It smells like soy sauce, but my cat actually likes the smell. I gave a much smaller amount than the recommended dosage — literally a pea-sized amount. Even with that, my cat had slightly looser stool. Because of this, I would recommend not following the instructions strictly at first and starting with a very small dose. Overall, the desired effect is achieved.

It was delivered in perfect condition. I've been using this Hartz Hairball product for years. My cats love it and it definitely helps to get rid of hairballs.

As anyone reading this may know, it is pretty impossible to buy Nutrivet Hairball Paw Gel (SALMON) in Canada. It was the only paw gel flavour my cat would eat. I have spent so much time, money and frustration getting it shipped from all over the USA. Then I came across this product on amazon.ca and saw that it is SALMON flavoured. My spoiled cat will NOT consume malt nor chicken flavour! And she desperately needs help with hairballs. So I bought 2 tubes of this Hartz Hairball Remedy as a sample and hoped for the best. BIC got it to me quite fast, way ahead of the estimated delivery date, even though it had to go through Canada Customs. The price was great and included tax and duties. But all of this is of no use if my cat won't eat it! To my very happy surprise, she really likes it and licks it off my finger happily. If your cat was hooked on the Nutrivet Salmon Paw Gel, I recommend you give this a try. Just buy a couple tubes to begin with.
