Great quality product at a reasonable price.
Great quality product at a reasonable price. Nice and sharp. Tool might be a bit too big for my hands -- perhaps I should have bought a smaller size, but they are still very effective, especially in root pruning.

Master Class Quality
I've gone through many bonsai tools and these are by far my favorite for the price. At first they look like any other bonsai scissors, but when you look close, you notice the small details, like the flawless sculpting of the steel. I always recommend these first to anyone looking for serious bonsai scissors. Pros: - high quality finish, beautiful precision - small gap stopper to prevent pinching your palm - good weight and length - VERY sharp and hold sharpness well - no looseness or play between blades Cons: - none really, I just wish Okatsune would make a greater variety of tools. They're really awesome.

Can give a very nasty pinch
These are amazing scissors, very sharp and cuts through things that secatuers don't, BUT, the nodes on the handles can give a very nasty pinch, they even pinched my stomach and drew blood as well, so be careful when using them.

Survey says!
I've spoken to a couple of big names in the art and these have come up as the favorite quite a few times, the ability to take them apart and sharpen the blades individually is so handy, I do wish they had a stainless version just so they can't rust I can't say these are the best out there but they are incredible, keep them clean and rust free and they will last a lifetime

Awesome utility shears for gardening and especially for bonsai applications… the best I have ever used!

Exactly what I needed.
Wonderful. Just wonderful. The thin, extremely sharp blades get into even the smallest places - like cosmos - to make clean cuts. But wear gardening gloves when using them. They're different from the usual clippers. The first time I used them I ended up with two small blood blisters and a cut. Best clippers ever.

Okatsune is the best!
Okatsune always has the best quality. These are great pruners, if you have big hands. They were too big for my hands, but I gave them to a friend with big hands. Not only did he love them, but he gave them to many of his friends. So they are making the rounds!

Defective copy?
I had high hopes after reading numerous positive reviews. The scissors arrived well packaged, new and seemingly authentic. It looks very well made, sturdy and comfortable to hold, given its surprisingly large size and relative weight. Disappointingly, upon the first minutes of use on some small twigs it started to feel dull. I realized this when it was tearing leaves that I tried snipping. Upon close examination I found the front 5mm of only the upper blade edge had started to chip. However, the opposing blade looked fine. This led me to suspect that one of the blades was somehow defective and not up to standards. Had it stayed sharp, it would have been easily a five stars.

Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

I am a professional gardener and this is by far my first go to tool. Very sharp and great for precise trimming. Lightweight and effortless. I do need to spray paint the handle a bright colour so they don’t disappear on me in the soil!
