Best sulfur/ Salicylic spot trmt in this divided format
I started dealing with minor breakouts at 17, & between then & college (22) i could also manage them with bp & a good concealer. However, as I got into my mid 20s, & even now at 34, i started to experience adult hormonal acne. It's never been severe, but when I say I have tried everything to prevent my hormonal breakouts, I'm not kidding. Salicylic acid & benzoyl peroxide don't even break the surface. In fact, I am a licensed esthetician in FL, where i live now because of my skin. I had studied & researched skin & skincare so so much on my own that I figured, heck, make it a career. I knew as much, if not more then my instructor lol. I did start school to help my own skin & have the knowledge needed to do so, but my intent was also to help others dealing with any skin issue & I took my training even further w/ extra classes & medical esthetics. I have helped so many people get their acne, rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation, erythem, etc under control but, the thing that gets me....i still deal with adult acne. I have had hormone tests done & know what my imbalances are & what causes it. I could prob take spironolactone & birth control & rid myself of all breakouts, but I choose not to add artifice hormones or things that block androgens into my body. So that means I deal with supplements, eating right & good skincare. Most of my breakouts now stem from stress & the increased cortisol levels that brings, along with insulin resistance. When I get them I am now very good at clearing them quickly & making sure they do not leave behind marks in the form of post inflammatory erythema (red spots via broken capillaries, for me the most common) or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots from increased melanin production). I used to really like Mario Badescu's drying lotion & was looking for a bit cheaper option when I found this. There are about 6 types of similar SA & sulfur based spot trmts on amazon alone. My skin doesn't respond to SA by itself very well, but the anti-inflammatory effects of sulfur really help my skin & so I like the combo. You have to read the ingrediebts of these spot trmts carefully though, they are not created equal. Some ppl can't use camphor & some can't handle calamine. Test anything new for 24-48 hrs in a nonobvious spot on your skin before applying everywhere. Personally, my skin likes the slight variation in the ingredients in this product better than the Mario B product. I'm a-ok with that since it's $10 less. This is also a bit closer to skin tone & less bright so if I do have it on around someone else I don't look as crazy lol. Let me say though that the top clear liquid in here is alcohol. It can & will be drying. Try not to get this on the healthy skin surrounding your blemish & maybe alternate with a hydrocolloidal spot dot to keep the area from drying out. Active treatment ingredients cannot penetrate dry crusty skin. It'll just sit on top & do nothing for you. This is also just not going to do much for deep cystic or nodular acne. It cannot penetrate deep enough. If you have an open blemish, I'm not saying don't apply it, cause I have done that too, but.. It's gonna burn for a sec. Overall, I do think this is a good option for whiteheads, papular & pustular acne. The SA can help to loosen blackheads because it is oil soluable (until glycolic, lactic & malic acids which are water soluable, all AHAs are) but it's not as effective against them. Give it a try, i think this is the best spot trmt out there in this format. I like this more than EradiKate as well.

This stuff is Great!
I don't care if you are young or old. If you have problems with your skin, as in acne ... get this stuff!! I have used this for over 25 years. I use to get it at Rite Aide, but it's getting harder to find. Don't know why because it awesome. Far better than Clearasil, Oxy or any other acne treatment out there & yet at an affordable cost. If you are young this stuff will clear up your acne almost over night. As long as you follow the instructions & that means DON'T SHAKE IT! And don't worry what you look like at night. It fades & besides you are going to bed. Just don't lay on your face. You can use this anywhere on your body too. Just make sure it is fully dried before covering that part with clothes, blanket, etc. It's so weird to just dunk a q-tip into the bottle (without shaking I, at least to me) & smear over your face. But it REALLY works. I have yet to this day find anything better. I didn't really have problems with acne as a teenager, not even in my early 20's. It wasn't until after I had kids I started to have problems. A very good friend of mine told me about this stuff, so I tried it & have been hooked ever since. I gave this to my son when he was a teenager & he started to have problems with acne. He thought I was crazy because I told him NOT to shake it. But he did it the right way & couldn't not believe how good his skin looked the next day. Couldn't even tell he had a pimple the night before. If you are older, it might take a day or so. But by the next day your acne will be so MUCH better than it was yesterday. For some reason adult acne seems much harder to fight or a little longer to heal than when you were younger. At least in my case it is. I know everyone is different & different things work for different people. But if you have problems with acne you should give this stuff a try. It's NOT a "brand name" but I swear this stuff works much better then the brand name products I have used. Just follow the directions. Cheers to CLEAR skin!

Works Just Like the Pricey Brands
This stuff really works! I had cystic acne in my 20s and now that I’m pushing 50 my hormones are again going nuts and I’m developing cystic acne again. Been eyeing the pricier brand name versions of this and figured it was worth a shot to try the cheaper brand that has the exact same ingredients in the exact same concentrations. To apply you let it settle in the bottle, then use a Q-tip to dip into the sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Dab on blemishes and overnight you’ll have clearer skin and/or a pimple that comes to a head. Lasts all night, looks exactly like calamine lotion because it’s an ingredient, the scent isn’t unpleasant, and most importantly it works! Just watch out because your kids and significant other will steal this!

I was really happy with that product and was interested in the chemicals ...
Update: I still like this product and think it is effective but I do think it's important to understand this is not a preventative product. It will not stop new bumbs, it only treats current bumps. If you are getting cystic acne, there is something wrong internally. No amount of facial products will fix it 100%. About a week after the review I left on 7/4/16, I began taking supplements. I take vitamins A (only 5,000iu)& D, fish oil, vitrex, and curcumin everyday. It began clearing my face immediately. No new bumps since and now my face is clear and has honestly never looked better. It is smooth and my tone is even, my acne scars from this last break out are healing quickly. Get educated and read up on these vitamins. Maybe get yourself tested for deficiencies. Just be sure that you don't take more than 100% of the daily recommended amount for any vitamin. Taking too much is really bad for you. I previously used Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion. I was really happy with that product and was interested in the chemicals in it so I showed it to my Chemistry professor. He looked it up online and was appalled by the price of $17 per bottle. Later that day he sent me a link to Bye Bye Blemish. He said the ingredients are similar and it is much cheaper (there's even a 3 pack for $15!). As soon my my previous product ran out, I ordered a single bottle here on Amazon to give it a try before committing to the 3 pack. I've seen other reviewers say this product doesn't compare to the Mario. I disagree. It smells the same and it dries blemishes fast. I had huge cystic acne (that had not yet surfaced) and I began using this product on Friday, by Monday they were mostly dried up and SO much smaller. If you're looking at this product because you'd like to save money. I recommend at least giving it a try!

Dries acne yes, gets rid of or prevents or helps old spots - NO
I bought this as i liked what the company was "selling" on the amazon page with its words and the pretty good reviews Pros: - yes, it dried up my back acne and thats pretty much it Cons: - it did not make the acne go away, it does not make the red spots go away as i still have red spots after 3 or so weeks of using this product. It also does not prevent other acne. - it is bright pink, you CANNOT use this if going out or want to be seen with it. I used this on my back and of course could just put a shirt on. This product did not work for me, i can see some drying effects but i cant tell if that is the product or just my body drying it normally or it was going away on its own. It is cheap enough. I do not feel comfortable recommend this to someone especially as it is advertised as an "overnight" solution. You can try it, its cheap enough, but dont expect miracles or a result youve never had before ** Please click helpful to help share this review with others as it will motivate me to come back and provide future updates as i might try this product again down the line Thanks, fellow reviewer
