Best compromise between brightness and whiteness
I've been using the H4 version of the old Philips CrystalVision for my '93 Mitsubishi Lancer Coupe for the last three years and have been really satisfied using them, so I decided to order the new CrystalVision Ultra H7 for my 2015 Kia Sportage SUV's high beams. Now, I don't know whether the CrystalVision Ultra is a rebranded version of the Philips Crystalvision bulbs but I'm quite pleased to find out that its color closely matches to the 4300K Philips HID conversion kit that I've fitted to the Sportage's low beams. I would say the CrystalVision Plus is a lot whiter looking than the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H7s that I've had for a year and its high beam throw is just as good, if not slightly farther down the road. To make matters confusing, Philips also sells a "4300K" version of the H7 under the "WhiteVision" sub-brand for the SE Asia market but it claims to have a color temperature "up to 4300K". That could mean that some batches of the WhiteVision may have color temps lower than 4300K, which could mean a white beam with a tinge of yellow color. The Philips WhiteVision H7 is officially tested to output light up to 1500 lumens, while the CrystalVision Ultra is rated at 1140 lumens (both @ 12 volts, 55 watts). The higher luminosity for the Philips WhiteVision could mean one thing: the WhiteVision may not be as "white" looking as the CrystalVision despite the former's claim to achieve a 4300K color temperature. I suspect the WhiteVision has a weaker blue tinting filter which allows more yellow color spectrum to pass through the quartz glass compared to the CrystalVision Ultra. If you're looking for a pair of quality "HID look" halogen bulb replacements, the Crystalvision Ultra gives a great balance between useful light on the road and beam whiteness. Don't bother with the Philips DiamondVision (5000K) bulbs for everyday driving! I've forgotten that I had them for a brief while after I took delivery of my KIA Sportage and they were a complete waste of money. The DiamondVision bulbs have filters that are "too bluish" that a lot of usable light is sacrificed and my low beams were actually dimmer than the stock OEM H7 bulbs that came with the car. Philips rates the DiamondVision at a meager 935 lumens, which is not bright enough especially for driving on rainy nights. If you want low beams that are very white with a lot of usable light on the road, you might as well go for the Philips HID Conversion Kit like I did. Do check with your local transport authority whether HID conversion kits are legal for your car. If your vehicle doesn't have projection style bulb enclosures i.e., the "open" kind where you can visually see the bulb through the headlamp glass, HID kits would definitely be illegal for your car. As with all very high pressure Xenon gas filled halogen upgrade bulbs, the downside to these kind of bulbs is their limited lifespan compared to long life and stock halogens. If you drive at night a lot, you may need to replace the CrystalVision halogens every 15 months or so. Bottom line: If you're looking for that near HID look for your car's halogen lamps without sacrificing too much usable light, the Philips CrystalVision Ultra bulbs are definitely worth trying out.

Great value for what you get
Purchased this for my parents GLE350. It is compatible. A bit annoying to install but that’s just H7. Although the light looks yellow in the pictures, looking at it from the front they look really bright and not as yellow as the picture. Driving at night my parents said it is def. Brighter and he can see a lot more. Product came packaged well and works great. Time will tell how long they last. Amazing price, quality, packaging, and brightness.

exactly as advertised.
packed and shipped nicely. all arrived working. after reading some of the other reviews it is clear nobody looked up the info from the manufacturer. here is what the Philips website says about these: "Philips CrystalVision ultra is for drivers who are looking for an upgrade with the style and appearance of Xenon HID, but drive a vehicle with halogen technology. Without compromising on safety, Philips CrystalVision ultra headlights rival the look of HID thanks to the blue coating on the glass and the blue cap bulb which creates a bright white light effect in the headlamp's reflector in daytime." notice the key words "white light effect in the reflectors... daytime" exactly what it does. the light projected out onto the road is still off-white, slightly brighter and slightly whiter than the stock bulbs. some people are putting these into projectors (the lights with glass globes) when these are designed for REFLECTORS. no reflectors, no white effect. what makes this effect is the blue bulb itself that you see in the mirror, not the output light. I bought these in both H7 for my headlights, and H11 for fog lights, which with a simple trim of the retention clip becomes the exact fit for H8. looks better than stock a little bit and all matches. so I am satisfied. thanks for reading!

Seriously the best bulbs I've installed
I've read the poor reviews for this bulb and this just hasn't been my experience. I bought these 2 years ago for my 2001 Audi A4 Quattro and they're very bright and crisp. I installed both in low and high position and I've been extremely satisfied. I saw a review with a dim lit bulb picture, but mine are crystal clear bright white.

White color, brighness is Standard OEM
I have been using Philips Crystal Vision Ultra H11, 9005, and 5202 for 6 years. I originally purchased them for the bright white color. They are a whiter light than standard halogen OEM or Long Life (LL) bulbs. Driving in urban areas or freeways with ambient light, they are very nice. However, when driving in rural areas and highways, the white light with blue undertone is more difficult for your eyes to pickup. The human eye naturally sees amber light spectrum more visible. I have learned over the years Crystal Vision and Diamond Vision are not brighter, or provide more road coverage than standard bulbs, they just produce a different light color spectrum. I ordered the H7 for a set of aftermarket projector headlights I installed, and these were less than remarkable in light output, and also had a flickering bulb. I tried the bulb in both sides, and it still flickered. Ultimately, I have decided to upgrade all my bulbs to the Philips X-treme Vision variants, and they are fantastic! You can buy X-treme Vision bulbs in up to 100%, 130% or 150% more light. You may sacrifice longevity and bulb life, but the light output is incredible and covers more peripheral vision. Installation depends on your vehicle, I have to remove my front fascia and headlamp assembly to replace bulbs. Not an enjoyable process to keep doing for under performing bulbs. Good luck!

Honest Review ( Pleasantly surprised)
So a little disclaimer before I begin. I have owned multiple vehicals that I have always installed HID's in as well as owned a vehical with stock HID kit so I think I am fluent enough to speak for bolth HID's and non HID vehicals. Now I have a 2015 BMW 328i that I decided not to have the HID option installed (witch I was regretting by the way). After a while I was getting tired of the yellowish hue of the headlights. I wanted to install a HID kit but fear of frying the electrical system in my car stopped me. I came up on these headlight bulbs and I must stay that I wasn't expecting much. I received these just a few days ago and installed them today and I must say that I am pleased with the results Proformance: They are noticeably brighter than the stock bulbs that came with the car and give me a little more distance down range and well as peripheral wideness. Color: This is the contraversal part... They do infact give off a white light however it is not a cool white like HID's give you it sits comfortably somewhere on the border of warm and cool white. These are in the ball park of the stock 4300k HID's that came on my 528i. Looking at them you will notice a slight blue tint of you have them in reflector housing (I'm not sure about a projector housing). Bottom Line: Are you going to get a true xenon look? (No but very close to it). Is it worth the $30 upgrade from the stock bulbs? (Absolutely). Would I buy it again? Already ordered a spare set and one for a family members car.

As yellow as can be. Nowhere near white.
PHILIPS needs to get their eyes checked. In what world is this “bright white” light? Matter of fact, they look even more yellow than my old stock halogen lights. Why advertise/label the package “bright white light”? There is absolutely nothing white about it at all. Piss yellow light. In fact it’s so yellow that if your urine looked like that, I’d tell you to drink more water. Brightness is abysmal, my stock halogens were brighter. For $28, you could get much better bulbs. These are atrocious. For $55-$60 you can get the ZXE, which while not 100% white either, it’s at least very close to it. And at least they don’t label it as “bright white” and blatantly lie to you. With normal halogens, whiter light outputs less brightness. You sacrifice brightness in order to obtain true white light. With these, you sacrifice both and get nothing in return for $28. Replacing the bulbs on my headlights are a hassle, so I don't even want to bother with returning these and getting a refund. A waste of money. I only hope that PHILIPS will use my money to get their employees an eye exam.

Great product, price and speedy delivery. Highly recommended.
The Philips Crystal Vision Ultra light bulbs were exactly what I was looking for with the 3700K white light as anything above the 3700K brighter becomes more susceptible to the filament blowing/failing more frequently. I was very pleased with the price which beat any other price online and subsequent remarkably fast postage arrival time from the U.S.A. to Australia.

Is NOT a cool white. It is a warm white
Although the product does promise on being bright it fails to promise on being a cool white instead of yellow. Please avoid if you want a cool white
