Perler Small Fun Shaped Pegboards for Fuse Beads, Assorted, 8.5 x 5.25 x 2, Pack of 5

They were easy to use and store well. The colors are bright and easy to see. The shapes are great for different projects. It's also easier to see beads on the smaller pegboards.

My 7 year old loves perler beads but my 4 year old was getting very frustrated. She wanted to join in but the clear square pegboards were just to challenging for her. I bought these shaped pegboards in the hope that it would help with some of her frustration so she could sit next to her brother and work on the same project. I'm so glad I did! She is able to fill the entire pegboard up and get a shape of something she was trying to make. The colors don't always match, but she doesn't mind at all. We have a little girl with rainbow colored feet and arms with various shades of pink for her dress. She couldn't be more in love with the project she was able to complete with minimal help from me. They are still larger pegboards for a 4 year old and their attention span so I helped after she worked 30 minutes by herself! She had a lot more to show in those 30 minutes with this pegboard then she did the clear square, because she felt like she was accomplishing an actual design. I do NOT recommend perler beads for kids this young if you can help it though. They are frustrating and fine motor skills are still being developed. But if your in a situation like mine, with an older sibling and jealously, hopefully this is help ease some of that strain.

I had trouble finding Perler Bead pegboards in the stores, so naturally I turned to Amazon and wasn't disappointed. I settled on this set for my daughters because of the scope of things they could create from just this set. There is a boy and a girl, butterfly, flowers, and 2 animals, they can use this to create a lot of different creations. The boards are bright, vibrant and very well built, and the set comes with the ironing papers as well. They are a bit bigger than I had anticipated too but that's alright! My daughters will have hours of fun creating with these!

Excellent for young kids trying to make very colourful animals. My 5 year old fills them all in with beads and then I iron it. She is so pleased to see that she made such beautiful animal.
