One of the extra strength is usually the right dosage unless your Doctor has told you a specific amount to take. Vitamin D is considered the Sunshine Vitamin, to help with low sunshine levels or Vitamin D production. These give you 1500 IU per gummy and the bottle tells you to take two at a time to get the 3000 IU it says you get on the label. 3000 IU is 750% of what the normal amount you need per day according to the FDA, but if your low on Vitamin D like most people are in the winter months than 1500 IU will usually do it. Again, if you can, ask your Doctor about it, they have a quick test to check your levels of Vitamin D. Hope this helped, PS: I did purchase these and regret it. I take a number of Vitafusion Gummies and these are not pleasant tasting. I take the Vitafusion D3 that says 2000 IU on the bottle which means you have to take 2 to get the 2000 IU and I take three and they are MUCH better tasting. Just FYI.

Ingredients read: tapioca syrup, sucrose, water, gelatin; 2% or less of: canola lecithin, citric acid, color (purple carrot juice concentrate), fractionation coconut oil (contains beeswax and/or carnauba wax), malic acid, medium chain triglycerides, natural flavor, pectin, and sodium citrate.  Processed in a facility with products that contain egg, fish, shellfish, soy and tree nuts.These are also really tasty for vitamins and not sticky on teeth.
