Great biography
A wonderful series of books. Well-researched and written in matter of fact journalistic style. If you enjoy reading history, science, and biographical literature this is the series for you. I enjoyed reading about America’s scientist, journalist and politician - Benjamin Franklin as well as the modern computer genius Steve Jobs. I very much enjoyed the glimpses into Leonardo Da Vinci best-known artworks. Plus I always enjoy reading about Einstein. Men like these whose creative genius never gets dated are few and far between. Their influence is timeless. Great books, if somewhat factual at times.

Great biographies. You can't go wrong here.
Yeah, I know about the questions some of us have about this author but, putting that aside, these are really good. Excellent writing and editing. I also recommend Walters Elon Musk biography, I read that first and it is really helpful in understanding Elon.

Great Author
Isaacson does it again. After reading Leonardo Di Vinci, I purchased this set. I couldn't see why these particular biographies were a set until I read them. It seems brilliant innovators must be all bizarre personalities. Isaacson's spot-on analyses are unbiased but insightful. Great reads~

This collection is really worth reading
I have only read the biography of Benjamin Franklin, one third of the collection. I am anticipating reading the other two books. One of the issues with a biography of some one long dead is the information must come from collected papers and previously published books since no one is alive to give direct input to the project. The author in my opinion has assembled a balanced biography; both the good and sides of Franklin are discussed. Also, the man is discussed in the context of the times which were complex. I especially valued the discussion of the politics of the times and feel I have gained useful knowledge of the history that formed the North American countries.

Blown Away
What a gift to the world this box-set of biographies is! Each book is a treasure of information, an enjoyable ride through the life on an astonishing individual. Isaacson has the gift of writing in a way that's clear, concise but also detailed. He always seems to 'get' his subject, to really understand what drove them and made them the great person they were. The books are also handsomely produced, with nice paper, print and design, especially the volume on Leonardo.

Beautiful Box Set
Beautiful Box Set. I read Steve Jobs first and what a fantastic book. Walter Issacson is a excellent writer. I learned so many small details of Jobs life and I to crew to accept him for who he was. I found I was very sad at the end. Jobs will be missed. I recommend this book set.
