And because they fulfill the purpose for which I bought them I'm giving them 3 stars. Here's the Good: The price was pretty reasonable considering they are originally $125. I really like the color and style. The BAD: I feel the shoe runs a little small. My toes don't rub the tip of the shoe but they are closer to the tip than any of my other shoes. If I was gonna order these again (which I'm not), I would order a 1/2 size up. The shoe is pretty stiff both inside and out. I wore them around the house for several days, in hopes of being able to return them if I didn't like them, and even though they were stiff I hoped they would soften up a little (so far they have not). I also didn't have any problem with my feet sweating during the house trial, but of course once I went out walking on the local trails my feet heated right up and started sweating, so of course now they cannot be returned (uuugggg, never fails). So as you may have guessed the material is definitely not breathable, so if you get sweaty feet STAY AWAY FROM THESE. Honestly, I expected more from both a North Face product and one that retails at $125.
