Nicely Done Model with Good Detail
The scale and proportions are very good with nice detail. Would like to see a complete engine with a swing up tail section. A few parts are very fragile and hard to remove from the parts trees.

Includes photo-etch detail-up kit
I haven't built the model yet, but other Fujimi models I have built were all very good. This particular kit is the Japanese market version, which has its pros and cons. It includes aluminum-plated wheels with tires already mounted, rub-on tire lettering, a fret of photo-etch details, and a piece of seat belt material with printed patterns on the back. The photo-etch fret had complete seatbelts that can be painted, if you prefer, and separate seatbelt hardware if you want to use the material provided. It also includes grilles, winglets, brake discs, and other details. That PE fret is also sold separately for around $25, so its inclusion in the kit make the kit a real bargain. The only downside to a JDM kit is that the instructions are all in Japanese. The color call-outs include English, however, and the diagrams are well-drawn and pretty much self explanatory, so I don't expect any real difficulty. Considering the fact that the kit came with the photo-etch details, the price was a real bargain.

A hand full to work with
The kit is going to need a good amount of time and work to finish up as shown on the box art. The rear suspension needs scratch building to go together correctly. Be very careful when mounting the windshield. It's a challenge to install correctly. A nice kit if you want to put in the time and effort. This is not a weekend build or casual build.

No engine at all.
This model isn't and advanced kit. Although some of the cockpit details are nice and were fun to assemble. The front suspension is manufactured wrong so the wheels don't steer as they should. They made the tie-rod so it won't/can't pivot...duh! There's A rear window but the kit includes an 'engine cover' that looks like a blanket, or canvas. (the instructions say to paint it flat red) A real downer. Who would want to put a cover over an engine that beautiful. All they give you are a transmission stump and the exhaust pipes, four of them...period. As I was installing the windshield I realized how crappy the dashboard mated to the body, I also realized how bad the tires and rims really looked. So, rather than waste any more time building a model that I was already disliking, I discontinued the build and shelved the project. I'd like to find something that I enjoy building as much as Tamiya's (or Ebbro) 1:20 scale Formula One kits. Now those cars come out real nice.

Great looking model.
Built original release in the 80's. Great model of a beautiful car. With the addition of photo etch parts, it should be even better. No engine detail visible due to engine cover, which I think is correct.

Very nice kit will make a nice addition to my 1960's Le Mans prototype racing car model collection. Should be a fun build.
