From doodling to crosswords, one of the finest thin point pens ever made
It's a reunion of sorts for me with the classic Pilot Razor Point pen. I didn't know they even made these anymore! Way "back in the day", I used to doodle drawings around the edges of my notes while in class with my trusty razor point. This was during the time I was infatuated with Rapidograph pens for drawing and the Razor Point was a great approximation built for common use. These pens followed me into business (where I still doodled drawings during endless boring meetings) until I lost track of a supply. When my not-as-thrilling mass market Pilot Precise V pens started underperforming recently, I went on trusty Amazon for a solution. I was stunned to find my old friend, the Razor Point, still available. Nowadays, I use these babies for crossword puzzles. With everything shrinking in the newspapers of today, you need a seriously fine point to write with in those tiny boxes. The Razor Point always provided that and still does today. Plus, it remains one of the finest smooth-writing pens in the business. Economical but efficient, the pens still give the confident, smooth line of yesteryear. Although I've never had any problems with them, these are super-fine nibs, so if you're heavy-handed in your writing style, there is the possibility you can splay the tip and cause a sloppier line. Hard-pressers beware, this is a tool more suited to an even pressure style. Rollerballs are better for the hard-pressers. I am super pleased to have my old writing friend back. Now if I only had some classes or meetings to go to so I could doodle again!

The best pen!
If you're a pen snob, you're not snobby enough if you're not writing with a PILOT Razor Point Fine Line Marker Stick Pens, Ultra-Fine Point (0.3mm). I absolutely love these pens. A pharmacy near campus randomly sold them when I was in college, and I randomly bought them once. They instantly became my favorite pen. I can't find them in any other store, so now I buy them on Amazon. I prefer writing with pen to writing with pencil, but I hate most pens. Ballpoint pens smear, bleed and require you to leave an impression on the page (annoying when you're righting in the notebook and previous days' notes are scratched into a blank page). Other marker pens (I'm looking at you Sharpie!) are too thick and bleed through the other side of the page. This pen writes finely, it doesn't easily show through the other side of the page, and it doesn't scratch the page unless you write incredibly heavily. My only word of caution is that you can't use these pens as easily on glossier surfaces like receipts and greeting cards. They'll write on these surfaces, but you'll have to let it draw or else it will actually smear. Other than that, these are the best pens.

My favorite pens, I never thought I'd find them again.
When I was a kid, my dad brought home some pens from his work that I absolutely loved. They were just the best pens I had ever used (before or since), and I used them constantly until they were all gone. After that, I could never find any other pens that were anywhere near as good. I couldn't even remember their name. As an adult, I spent years going into stores and trying to find the pens my dad had brought home as a kid. Finally, I found them on amazon: the Pilot Razor Point. These pens are by far the best pens I have ever used in my life. There's nothing else even remotely like them. It's probably partially a matter of personal taste, but I absolutely love these pens and never want to use anything else ever again. I read some of the other reviews and saw that a lot of you guys had similar experiences, your dad or grandparents or something brought them home from work, and you fell in love. That seems to be the classic story of how people end up finding these. Once you use them, nothing else compares. These things are real classics, I guess they've been made the exact same way in Japan since the 70s. They've been made that long in the same way because they're so good, and because people love them. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you should at least try them. As for me, I stocked up just in case so that I never have to use anything else.

Consistent Quality For Over 20 Years
My parents are artists, and these pens have littered their house since I can remember (I'm 30.) I buy these in purple & black every year as stocking stuffers for my parents, and have a few on hand for myself. They are great for any purpose, but are my go-to for handwritten cards to loved ones. My handwriting is terrible though, photographed post-it for reference.

Write on...!
I purchased these to use as "detailers" for pen & ink sketches. I suppose they could be used for writing, but I'd avoid doing so for the same reason as avoiding gel pens: smudging & running should the paper get wet. The ink in these dries fairly quickly, but it won't resist moisture. The writing tip size is comparable to a fine point pen - which makes them well-suited for my purposes, at least. They're also a better value than most pens intended for use in drawing, which makes them perfect for quick studies & sketches.

My favorite pens in the world!
My all time favorite pens! I buy in bulk and keep in my purse, the car, in the nightstand, on the desk, in the kitchen. The ink is instantly dry, smudge-proof and fine line. Love them!

My New Felt Pen Lover!
EXCELLENT! I use this pen for everything! Writes smooth, with a line somewhere between a .03 and a .05 tip size typically does, renders a beautiful dark line and is easy to control. I read MANY reveiws before settling on a box of these babies and it was totally worth it! They're archival, and I use them in my journals as well as for school and inside of cards. They need to dry for a minute on smoother surfaces, but no more than an ordinary felt pen, and they will bleed on thinner paper, or if you hold the tip down for too long, but that's why I like them, that means they have alot of free-flowing ink! The tip is also much more durable than your standard felt pen! I looooooooove the Retro 70's vibe, and i give the pens away as gifts! Bottom line, totally worth it! All of the great reveiws are true! Writes like a million dollars, if a million dollars could write
Without question, a beautiful, precise pen. I own an absurd number of them in blue and black and, outside of doing crosswords, they are the only pens I use. First exposed to them as a child, it took a number of years (and a lot of pens) to bring me back to where I belonged all along - the Pilot Razor Point, Ultra Fine. The pen is sturdy, yet comfortable to hold. It is low-profile and not at all showy. It allows its user to create beautiful, precise flowing characters, while remaining a tried and true everyday writing implement. It writes like a million dollars, if a million dollars could write or was worth what it used to be. Stranded on an island (let's make it a tropical, fruit-filled island rather than a desert island), this pen (or these pens) would absolutely in my top ten must-haves (so long as said island doesn't strand me for too long).

Fun pens to draw with
Fun pen to draw with! The ultra fine point produces lines that are more attuned to my drawing "style" than the thicker lines. Plus, I can hold these pens anywhere I want, at least when the cap is posted.

Great pens
These are some of the nicest pens that I have ever used. They have a slight tendency to smear, but that can be overlooked because of how crisply they write. The box is also really cool.
