Great tools and plenty of power
I have always been a ryobi user and this set hits the spot. Drill and impact driver with batteries. Purchased while on offer so value was amazing. I find all the ryobi drills and drivers to be great quality and compared to other brands it does them to shame.

Introduction into Ryobi
I have been looking at impact drivers for around a year now, on and off, deciding what I need and whether any of my home projects really need or require one. Because of that, I never got around to purchasing one but have kept up to date with most of the sets around and their features etc.... So having nearly burnt out my old faithful Stanley fat max drill (fairly large summerhouse disposal) while taking out seemingly thousands of deeply imbedded screws, the realization came apparent, that this was built with an impact driver. Either way, I revisited the thought process for buying one, do i need it? will it be worth it? how much are they? what else can i use it for? etc.. I started the search by looking at specs again like what's the best torque rating I can get for the cost, also, what are the reviews for each brand like? I had looked at a similar set to this ryobi one on a well known diy site and found that while cheaper, it was lower spec and out of stock. That version was a carbon copy of this except the driver was lower powered 160NM and not the 220NM offered in this kit. For me nearly breaking my ole trusty Stanley drill made me realize that I need to use the right tool for the right job and there is no point in struggling with the wrong tools. For the cost and benefits gained so far the impact driver has been excellent, performing above and beyond in terms of comfort, power, and lumination as well (tri led are awesome). I should have done this ages ago and saved time and effort! The kit itself was an exclusive on amazon, and I could NOT find it better priced for the spec anywhere. With this kit I was not only able to get an impact driver, but a replacement drill at slightly lower power than my old one which is great! Plus for a long time I had been unsure of what brands all in one battery system to go with since having a selection of random brands, and im really pleased that this Ryobi kit is as good as I thought. I already started looking at Reciprocating saws that are compatible, so the tool expansion is in full swing! I highly recommend this kit, and will buy other components part of the ONE+ system. It would be preferable for the tools to come in a proper ryobi box rather than a bag, but its not too bad oh and the charger for the kit is lit up like a christmas tree flashing at different charge stages etc.. Overall no concerns whatsoever with Build quality Warranty length Charge time Comfort Useability Reliability All are great. Ryobi represent a great introduction into power tools and one-type-fits-all battery systems and I highly recommend. UPDATE 06/04/21: Had the tool for a few weeks and I used the impact driver for the first time to put some wood together but I noticed afterwards that the impact driver was making a grinding/metallicy noise and so had to return but as always amazon customer services are excellent and have issued a full refund including postage and so I have now ordered it again. UPDATE 07/04/21: Received the replacement and all working fine! FYI i recommend purchasing some quality inpact bits as this drill will shred the cheap stuff

Live the Mighty Car Mods dream
I love this set. I’ve always wanted to imagine I’m Moog from Mighty Car Mods. I can now live that dream. I even do the Australian accent- my wife wants a divorce, and also lots of shelves putting up. The drill and impact driver are both light enough. They work really well- the driver is exactly what I’d expected. The hammer drill is even better than I thought. Battery life is decent and the Ryobi one+ bonus is you can upgrade batteries and chargers and build a set of tools up. The Ryobi downside is friends and family who are tradies will rip you a new one for using Ryobi gear and not Makita or Dewalt or Milwaukee … grow a thicker skin and stay in your own lane… If it’s good enough for Moog, it’s good enough for me.

Very Happy With The Kit (With One Exception)
The time came when I had to retire my trusty Makita drill (which was a good 15-years old) - it had served me well (couldn't get it into reverse and sadly the batteries where no longer holding a good charge). I'd also borrowed a good friend's Makita Impact Driver to help me put up a summerhouse - which I found invaluable. I'd always sort-of dismissed Ryobi as a bit of a novelty - but after seeing a few YouTube videos of various bits of their kit in action and obviously performing very well (and not the videos that are CLEARLY sponsored by Ryobi) - and realising that I really liked the impact driver I'd borrowed (my wrists and fingers are getting a bit arthritic, so this really helped) and needing to replace my rechargeable drill - I settled on this kit. I also liked the idea of the interchangeable batteries in the One series when I need to replace other tools. To be clear, I wasn't expecting this kit to be Industrial/Trade grade - but on testing it so far, I really don't think it falls far short - especially for the money. I'm not going to go into a detailed review - there are for more expert reviewers than me. I'm very much a keen amateur. Batteries supplied are great for domestic use (naturally you can buy bigger) - they've not gone flat on me once, and I've put them on charge more out of routine than anything else (Been using them for a couple of days of light/medium use - so stuck them on charge just in case they're flat when I need to use them). Here's the Niggles and Likes Niggles: The chuck for the Impact Driver is a spring loaded job - which fires what ever bit you have loaded out like a toy cannon when you release it. Lost 15 minutes trying to find a bit that fired out on a gravel path. The chuck on the Drill/Driver does not lock tight enough - and struggles to lock to drill bit of 2mm (certainly not less). This is a right pain to be honest - as I like to pilot before nailing (Piloting: a wild and new fangled concept in woodworking - not sure it will take off 😂). I've ended up buying a set of Hex Shank drill bits. Minus One Star for that - a small Drill like this should certainly hold a 1-2 mm straight shank bit without breaking your wrist trying to lock the chuck. Likes: Well, the tools are what they are - but, what I have found I prefer over the Makita is the controlled trigger action. A slight depression on the triggers start the tools slowly and in a very controlled fashion, as you increase pressure they build up. This is particularly good with the impact driver - slight depression and it starts as an electric screwdriver until you need that extra torque - then you can then give it some wellie. The Makita Impact Driver went from "zero to screaming madman" at the slightest touch (not giving you enough time to ensure you are going in straight). I've not tried the Hammer Action of the Drill-Driver yet. So, on the whole - I'm very pleased and now considering a Ryobi small sander.
