The mechanical process will remove some sealer.

Can it be used on gravestones?

Yes if the gravestones are made of granite or basalt. No if they are marble, limestone, onyx or other materials.

Should this be applied by hand or do you need a machine to do it?

You should use a machine to buff the MB-20 with a higs hair pad and some water. They Hydrex sealer is done by hand.

i bought this polish for a light granite counter. will it still work or will it darken the counter in some way?

I used it on our light granite counter tops and it worked without any issues
