EXCELLENT! *Quality Construction Sink Protector* - *Aesthetically Pleasing, Yet Functional*
I purchased a set of these in Feb of 2016, so we are at around 9 months and they are holding up spectacularly! No rust or discoloration, they've not bent or come apart anywhere...they look just as good as they did the day I purchased them! I have white porcelain enamel sinks and wish I'd invested in these far sooner than I did, they save the day when it comes to scratches and chips in the enamel, plus they do not catch food or residue the way rubber mats can...everything rinses down the drain easily with no fuss. Honestly, the look far classier too. I highly recommend these!

Does The Job
Excellent replacement for the plastic covered wire grids I tossed that had started to peel (again). My dishes don't stand up against the side of the sink quite as well because the ridges are a little less pronounced on these but good enough. The hole in the center for the drain is a bit smaller too but still ok. The main attraction is that these are so durable, fit very well in my sink and really look good. One more item in my kitchen, like my cast iron cookware, that now doesn't have to ever be replaced. Tired of buying things over and over again because they are cheap? You will like these. MM

Suitable for flat sinks with steep walls
Basically it's suitable for stainless steel sinks with almost vertical walls and flat bottom. That's because the feet are short, which are a small loop of steel protected b a rubber cover. I have a traditional porcelain sink with curvy walls and bottom. So the grid is "standing" tall on the sink by the 4 corners instead of the 4 feet, with a 1 to 2 inch gap from the bottom. You can also find a small grid relative to the sink so the feet stands on the middle flatter portion of the sink, leaving a larger gap at the sides.Since the grid is touching the sink only at the 4 corners, I use 3/8" ice maker tubes to protect the porcelain. I cut the tube into 1/4" lengths. Make a slit on each tube section so they wrap around the grid at the corner. You need several tube sections to cover each corner. It's effortless if you use an oscillator tool. Metal blade is always suitable for plastic. Update: I use semi clear 1" silicone tape (x-treme tape) to wrap the corners. Much easier and much better. The tapes stick to themselves and don't come off, day in day out.The grid is rather stylish because of the thicker flat border and the middle ring. It's not like the grids for the oven. As for the hole I think it's about the right size. Yes, the plug and filter doesn't come through the hole. But you can unplug through the hole without taking the plug out. Some plugs are designed not to be taken out completely. You can pour liquid containing trash into the hole and into the filter/strainer. It's better than without a hole. If the plug or filter can come out of the hole, it's two large at about 4" or more.I used to have a mat. I'm now sold on the idea of a metal grid. First, my wife ended up cleaning the mat everyday because she can't stand the stain on it. I suppose there are mats that don't stain (that much) but plastic grids or mats are food traps. With a stainless steel grid, I'm confident enough to drain fish, fruit on it, as well as cups and dishes. This is a plus.My main aim is to protect the porcelain. The glaze on the porcelain is wearing thin and stains start to develop. I don't want to paint is with toxic stuff, possibly coming out gradually. My wife grind more to remove the stains, wearing down the glaze faster. It's a downward spiral. I don't want to replace the sink because it only make sense to replace the whole worktop. And if you replace the worktop it make more sense to replace the ageing cabinets. It's also about time to replace the floor. A grid is the much better choice for now.The metal grid doesn't protect, say, glass cups as much as a plastic mat. But that's not the point. Also, the landing is a lot softer on the grid with some flexibility than on rigid porcelain.

You need this!
This product has been great! When you have a sink full of dishes the water still drains like there are no dishes in the sink. I got one with a hole and the other without. I actually like that the hole isn't aligned with the drain because nothing falls in the drain like forks or other utensils. There has been so many times I have turned on the garbage disposal without seeing a utensil in there and completely scratched up the spoon or fork! Now nothing drops in that garbage disposal that isn't supposed to drop. I do like the hole located in the middle of the rack with the garbage disposal because I can drop bigger food particles in that hole without it building up on the rack or getting stuck on the rack. Basically less cleaning for me! This product also helps stand glasses so they don't fall over or slide when you put more dishes in the sink. I can put a glass in while staking more and it's still great for not moving. I scrub dishes on one side (usually where the garbage disposal is) then place it in the next side. After I stacked all scrubbed dishes I run it under water and store away to dry. It's nice once you scrubbed it to have another side that's elevated so the clean dishes aren't touching the bottom of the sink. Also the water drains great once I rinse them all off. Another pro is when placing the dishes in the sink there is not a loud noise with the dish hitting the sink. No more loud dish sounds. Kids can place the dishes in your sink without you being startled by the sound and baby can sleep in the same room. I also love the fact it protects your sink from scratches. I have an iron skillet and the thing is heavy. There are so many times I've accidentally dropped it in the sink. Now the sink is protected by my clumsiness.

Nice Stainless Steel with Rubber Tips on Feet
This is a nice rack made of stainless steel so it doesn't rust and become discolored. I love this addition to my sink so I can lay dishes in the sink to dry rather than take up some of my counter space with a drying rack. I have a double sink and this fits perfectly on the sink floor. This has rubber tips on the feet, too, to give further protection between the sink and rack. Really sturdy rack that is a nice quality.

Great For Me and My Sink!
This may not be perfect, but it sits up high on little feet, has a grid that allows drainage and doesn't congest the sink and fits. I keep this on the side of the sink that does not have the garbage disposal unit as I do not like to use the disposal to grind up waste and put it into our precious water supply. So I keep the strainer section in that hole so that food waste can be picked up and thrown out. This sits on the other side and is easily cleaned and is a great support for little utensils and dishes that are waiting to dry. I most certainly would buy this again as it is the best item that I have found for its purpose.

Doesn't work with my strainer
Doesn't sit down in my sink--rests against the sides just above the bottom. Main thing I don't like is that the strainer is bigger than the hole in the sink protector. I have to sit the strainer so it hangs down through the hole. If I'm not VERY careful pouring things, the strainer doesn't catch the little bits of debris that I would rather not have going down my sink! It is sturdy and looks nice. Perhaps it would work better with newer sinks--mine is more than 25 years old.
