Star Trek Trilogy: The Kelvin Timeline [4k UHD]

The now complete Kelvin Trilogy. These were a well done spinoff of the Star Trek universe with a new cast. Unfortunately, with the companies issues, it ended with the three, (even though more were planned). But for now, they are certainly worth a watch especially for the Lt Cmdr of Engineering in the first one, BEFORE the Scot arrived.

These movies are excellent to start. Then, we got these 4k releases and it's a game changer. The atmos track and bed layer audio are amazing. I watched it on an 83" OLED and was so impressed.

An amazing trilogy the picture is great in 4k. A must watch!

Good Set, Worked okay

Taking 1 star off because the listing says you get 4k, 1080p, and digital copies of the movies. But it's wrong. All the digital codes have expired back in 2021. Regardless since I was never going to download them digitally anyways. The 4k movies look amazing. Same with the 1080p ones. I know alot of Star Trek fans don't like the movies due to them not following the same star trek laws as the original series. But as action movies I love them. Well I love all star Trek including lower decks. I highly recommend it you want something unique but heavy on the action.

AUDIO REVIEW ONLY: This 4K disc set of Star Trek the Kelvin Timeline trilogy is an easy recommendation based on audio quality alone. The Dolby Atmos mixes across all three films are powerful, engaging, and highly immersive, and they really show what a properly set-up Atmos system can do. Audio Performance (Dolby Atmos) The sound design in these movies is extremely active from start to finish. Starship flyovers, transporter effects, phaser blasts, and debris fields frequently move through the height and surround channels, creating a full hemispheric sound bubble. These movies make excellent use of overhead speakers, not just for occasional gimmicks, but for sustained environmental immersion. Bass is another major strength. Warp jumps, crashes, and musical swells hit with real authority, delivering deep low-frequency impact without turning boomy or overwhelming dialogue. Dynamics are wide — quiet bridge ambience can suddenly launch into full-scale action without distortion or harshness. Dialogue clarity is consistently strong. Even during the heaviest action sequences, voices remain anchored firmly to the center channel and cut through clearly. The musical scores are spread broadly across the front soundstage with excellent separation and layering. If you enjoy watching at or near reference level, these discs absolutely reward it — the mixes retain control, detail, and punch when played loud.
